NewcastleGreat Vacation Rental in a Wonderful Part of The World
Left on 09/15/2012 for a stay in August 2012
A wonderful property in a great location. To say that Dawne (the lady who owns this newly renovated property) goes the extra mile to make sure that her guests have a trouble free and restful stay would be a huge understatement. We were looking for somewhere for two nights in a hurry in order to prolong our stay in the Rockport, Glaucester and Cape anne area and were drawing a blank due to the fact that everywhere seemed fully booked when I saw this property "newly listed" in august on Trip advisor. I sent a speculative email explaining our situation but had more or less resigned myself to heading for New York (the next destination on our "tour") a couple of days before we would have to be there for a soccer match when I got a reply from Dawne which led to an offer of the place for the two nights that we needed. She was prepared to squeeze us in before the first scheduled guests were due to take the property and really saved our bacon.
The property itself is bright, clean and very comfortable. After a series of hotel rooms it was really great to be able to kick back a little in our own space and this lovely well appointed house (situated in a really nice quiet residential area) offered us everything that we needed in order to enjoy Marblehead, Salem and the surrounding areas.
The garage of the property would be a great secure place to store bikes and kayaks etc for anyone planning an active vacation.
The bedrooms are situated at the back of the house which helped to ensure that there was absolutely no traffic noise and we had two great nights of sleep.
I cannot recommend this property enough as it provided the base for what were in retrospect two of the best days of our american holiday. A great house in a fabulous part of america.
