Founders Point is a newly constructed luxury condominium complex located at the base of Winter Park. Walk across the street, go through the Zypher building and find yourself at the Zypher Mountain Lift. You are a snowballs throw away from the new village featuring bar/restaurants and shopping and an ice skating ring. Inside your condo you will find LG LCD TV's, granite counter tops, and stainless steel appliances. Large outdoor tubs with fantastic views and BBQ's are located on the amenity deck in the center of the horseshoe shaped building. Heated underground parking will keep your vehicle out of the elements.

I was satisfied with the unit, it was clean and will work well for two people.
Likes: Clean, close to slopes, garage.
Dislikes: Small kitchen work space, unit is located at very far end of hall from elevator. Little bit of a hike to lifts in ski boots. -

We had a really good experience with this condo. Charlotte was very responsive, and everything was as described/pictured. It's long way to the elevator, but the stairs right next to the unit were a great shortcut to the lobby.

We stayed here overnight & although the room was great, we were not happy. All condos look out onto a central courtyard with a hot tub, fireplace, etc. Great place, but a bunch of younger adults decided to party that night. No way to get away from the noise. Had to call the front desk twice - very loud party until after 11PM. They also put us on the 5th floor with a family of kids upstairs who were jumping off the bed - loud bangs throughout the day. Would not stay here again. Also, this is a dog's place - kids and dogs everywhere. Had breakfast the next day at a great little place, but again, there were five dogs running around us during breakfast. We won't be back here ever.

We had a great 2 week skiing vacation staying in Founders Point. The condo was excellent and provided us with everything we needed for our stay. The only improvement I would suggest would be a welcome pack with instructions describing how to use the electrical equipment and appliances. Other than that everything was perfect.

Founders Pointe/Fraser Crossing is very convenient to the slopes of Winter Park skiing. In fact, you can leave your room and be on the slopes in ten minutes. No need for loading your ski gear or taking a tram, you are provided your own storage locker in the building! Just bundle up and walk +/- 200 yards to the ski lifts. If you don't have your skis and boots, relatively new rentals are available. Remember, you do pay for the convenience, and lower priced, comparable equipment is available in Winter Park. Skiing is fantastic for beginner and intermediate skiers. For the black and double black adventurers, check ahead for snow and ski conditions. Multiple lifts make wait times very acceptable.
As for lodging, all rooms appear to be updated and comfort friendly. You actually can regulate the temperature in your unit. The gas fireplace in each unit not only provides additional heating, but also makes for a romantic setting. As is the case with most ski resorts, toiletries are somewhat limited. If you want something special, bring it with you. Housekeeping was close to nonexistent, so use your towels wisely. The kitchen includes a small fridge and convection microwave. For breakfast and snacking, it's all that you need. Great local restaurants are only minutes to downtown Winter Park, so it's not really necessary to cook.
The absolute best amenity is the garage parking. It's enclosed on the lower levels of the condo - and even heated! Your rental vehicle is assured of being snow/ice free anytime you need it. Fyi...it is also a separate charge from your rental.
This was our second vacation through this resort. Would we stay a third time? Probably. However, we would buy the vacation insurance. The resort is approximately two hours from the Denver International airport. If your airline has problems, you probably won't get much sympathy from the resort management over pre-paid skiing packages. Also, watch your budget, the ala carte fees can be substantial. -

Condo is perfect for a week stay. Very clean. The management company is very easy to work with. Directly across the street is Winter Park Resort with many shops and restaurants. Underground parking is convenient. The unit is a decent walk from the elevator
but directly next to the stairs that are only 2 levels down to parking. -
