Derby, KSNice stay! No surprises!
Left on 03/29/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We had a great stay at Zephyr 2413. I put no surprises in there because it was just as advertised. The extra air mattress was there, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. It was a little warm at times but that was disclosed before I ever rented and the open windows were enough to cool the condo. All the keys were in place.
We had a problem with the air mattress and a pin hole. At 9pm I placed a call to Winter Park Lodging company. by 9:05pm I had a return call and by 9:30 there was a serviceman at my door with 2 replacements just in case there was another problem. The management company was responsive and helpful during our whole stay and it was appreciated.
The Condo was comfortable and convenient. A very short walk from the provided ski lockers to the base of the lifts was awesome and the Village was fun to spend time in.
Although I might look for a slope side view next year, I would definitely stay at 2413 again with no hesitation.

DenverLovely place - terrible bed
Left on 10/20/2011 for a stay in October 2011
The unit is very comfortable and nice. Our only complaint and it's a deal breaker for being able to come back to this particular unit is the bed. I woke up with back aches and other aches and pains and couldn't sleep much during the night because of the pain. Got home to our own bed and was fine. No body aches before our stay or after so was definitely the bed. Fix the mattress and the place is great!!
Response from Winter Park Lodging Company - 10/22/2011
Manager
So sorry to hear the bed was not up to snuff. We will let the owner know and will assess if it's just a firm mattress (which some people like) or an issue with the bed itself. We hope you come back again and we'll help you find a place with a softer mattress.
Thank you,

DenverGreat location, horrible beds and sheets
Left on 09/29/2011 for a stay in September 2011
First things first - for the price we paid ($99 for 2 nights on a Groupon), I have no complaints. And the location is stellar - we went in the fall, but if it was ski season, you just can't beat the ski-in, ski-out location.
But why ruin a premium location with cheap furnishings? The beds were uncomfortable, the pillows were thin, the sheets were the cheapest thing you can imagine. A few more dollars spent on the interior would go a long way -> as it was, it felt like a motel 6 with an awesome location.
These are easy fixes, and I hope the owner/management company does them, because even at twice the price we paid, it would be a deal in the winter.Response from Winter Park Lodging Company - 10/22/2011
Manager
Hi there,
Thanks for the review. I have to refute a few points on this one - the unit is far from a Motel 6 - it's just been newly painted, new comforter and shams, new pillows and a flat screen TV. The mattress is on the firm side and we're talking to the owner about whether they should switch to a softer mattress as we've seen some complaints on that topic. Apologize that you were not pleased, and we'd love to try again to find the right property in the future.

Highlands RanchGreat time in Winter Park
Left on 09/08/2011 for a stay in September 2011
Our unit at the Zephyr Mountain Lodge was great. The location cannot be beat as it sits right on the base of the mountain and afforded us the opportunity to just go back to the unit if we forgot something, wanted a bite or to grab a sweatshirt. Our unit had very nice furnishings and the welcome packet from WP Lodging was a nice touch. The Winter Park Lodging Company was heads and shoulders above another local outfit that I used earlier in the year. I plan to use them when I am in the area next year.

Left on 09/01/2011 for a stay in August 2011
I gave you five stars in all but comfort. I rated comfort down because the unit was hot and we could not get it cool except by opening the windows which we did and it helped a lo. The bedroom windows did not have screens however. We were gone during the day, so the warm room was not a big deal.
The hotel was very convenient to lots of activities. There was a lot going on and we had a great time. I will recommend the Zephyr to others going to Winter Park. -

Left on 08/31/2011 for a stay in August 2011
We enjoyed this condo and the time we had as a family while there. We have 3 complaints. First, the plastic mattress pad on the bed in the master made for very uncomfortable and very hot sleeping conditions. Two, the shower needs a new shower head. Three, if the unit is available you should be able to check in prior to 4.

Had a really good time with family in a beautiful location. The room gets really hot in the day during July and there was no a/c. It was very difficult to have our daughter nap and sleep at night. House keeping didn't come by either for fresh towels or anything all weekend. Maybe I was suppose to ask?

the rooms were very hard to keep cool enough. We opened windows but that was hard to regulate and in our bedroom still wouldn't really cool it off enough. Finally we called for a box fan (only to find one under the bed later) and that helped though it was awkward to place.

Left on 03/23/2011 for a stay in March 2011
My family received very good service from Winter Park Lodging Company. They checked on us before our arrival and after to make sure things went smoothly. The Zephyr unit that we stayed in was at the base of the slopes which was an excellent location for us! The unit was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The only thing I did not like was the one set of towels for each person for the whole stay. I was aware of this policy before we got there so it wasn't a surprise, just a little inconvenient. We will definitely be coming back to Winter Park and the Zephyr property will be our first consideration of places to stay.

Golden, COGood location but not perfect
Left on 02/02/2011 for a stay in January 2011
Zephyr Mountain Lodge is a great location to stay. Loved the underground parking, ease of walking to the lift. The ski lockers on the first floor were convenient to use. It is nice to have a front desk available for questions about dining, etc.
Our unit's fireplace did not work. The sign on it said that pilot lights were turned off "to conserve energy" and to call the front desk to have it turned on. We did call - who doesn't want a fireplace to work in January? A guy came out an hour later (burning more gas in his truck than the pilot light would have) and evidently tried to get it to start, but was unsuccessful. We weren't there, he left no note. I called again but never got another response - no fireplace for us. It was kind of a big deal.
Also, the comforter on the queen size bed is a full size - does not cover even the full bed. My husband and I wrestled with it the first night, then I gave up and used an extra blanket the second night. It needs to be bigger!Response from Winter Park Lodging Company - 02/03/2011
Manager
Thanks very much for the feedback. We are sorry the fireplace didn't work for you. We never got a call for the fix - always call us and not the front desk and we'll come right up! Hope to have you back again soon.

KansasWe had a fantastic time!!! Go during mountain bike season.
Left on 09/15/2010 for a stay in September 2010
We went in September to see some color changing in the mountains, and we saw just a little. That was ok, because the rest of our trip overshadowed the lack of tree color. We were there during mountain bike festival season, and the time spent was so much fun. The lodge staff were extremely helpful (valet style parking of our bikes), and there was always something going on around the facility. Either a bike race, or some other type of event associated with the mountain bike scene. None of us ski, and instead visit the ski towns during summer when the crowds are nonexistent and the people of town and lodge are eager to please. I highly recommend travel to ski towns in the off season if you want mountain views, solitude, and a really laid back fun time.
I think equally satisfying and great was the help I received booking this room. Amy (I believe her name was), went above and beyond my expectations to help find us a room on very short notice. I'll ask for her again.

Lakewood, COI enjoyed the home.
Left on 03/02/2010 for a stay in February 2010
We really enjoyed staying at Zephyr Mountain but we ran out of toilet paper, had no kleenex and could have used another blanket. Having to call WPLC for all our needs instead of being able to call the front desk was unusual, and for ease, we ended up purchasing our own toilet paper and making do with what we had in the condo. They also had no real baking dishes for casseroles, etc. When you request a full kitchen there is a reason and when not all kitchen items are there it makes it hard to make meals in the condo. Also having to strip the beds was weird....I have never done that in any condo we have rented and we have rented quite a few. Just a helpful hint...maybe??? Thanks for everything and the gift bag was a very nice touch.

Thank you for taking the time to review the property. We would have been happy to bring you more TP or anything you needed. Next time, just give us a ring and we'll be there to help. We have since purchased more baking dishes so come on back and enjoy!

Left on 02/16/2010 for a stay in January 2010
Vacations are better when you have a good lodging experience and ours was great. We received great customer service which I have found is lost at most places. The staff at Winter Park Lodging Company checked with us before, during and after the vacation to see if we needed anything and made sure that our vacation was going well. The home was nice. It was clean, good furniture and accomodations. The room has easy access to the ski lockers and the lifts. Hot tubs were great. It is worth it to have a room close to the slopes. I liked the service and location the best. The televisions could possibly be updated to flat screens or HD, but if your not in the room a lot, this shouldn't be an issue.
