Base Camp 456 was a beautiful property and perfect place for our group of 10 to stay! The property was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The green bus to take us to the resort stopped right outside our front door. Winter Park Lodging Company was very friendly and helpful before, during and after our stay. From helping to arrange lift tickets and ski and boot delivery to fixing a bunk bed 10 minutes after we called, they were great. We would definitely recommend Base Camp 456 and Winter Park Lodging Company. We will be back!

We held our company retreat at this Base Camp condo. It was a perfect location for our group. It was roomy, yet cozy. We had a great open space for our work on Friday. Good light, good seating, good space for people to break into smaller work groups. When it was time to relax and socialize, the condo worked perfectly for a big group dinner and games.
We skied and spa-ed on Saturday, and the location was an ideal base. Access to the slopes was easy, and at the end of the day, it was easy to get back to the condo directly from the mountain. Plus, we had about a foot and a half of new snow, so the skiing was amazing. All in all, Base Camp was the perfect condo for a big group work/ski weekend. I would come back in a heartbeat.

Just want to thank everyone again for making this family trip so outstanding. It is our second time in the home and it is so comfortable and feels like home. The pong pong tournaments at night after a great day on the slopes is memory making. We had 5 young men from the us Naval academy with us and they so enjoyed the mountain and the village. Thanks for making it an effortless vacation and the equipment delivery and hands on service from Winter Park Lodging is second to none.

Great accommodations, had everything we needed, convenient shuttle bus. Did not have enough towels or any laundry soap. Bought laundry soap only to find out they provide it if you call so advice is just to be sure and call and they will get those types of things to you promptly. Even provided us a Christmas tree! Enjoyed our stay very much.

The owners thought of everything in this place (as did the builder). It's huge! And high luxury. We felt like kings and queens. Easy to cook a big meal and enjoy all of our family around the table. Plus kids loved the 2nd living room. Very very clean. Winter Park Lodging Company took very good care of us and answered every need within minutes - five star service!

Fantastic in every way. Would recommend to anyone. It's a bit of a trek to the Corridor ski trail, so this isn't a ski in/ski out in the truest sense, but the short hike through the woods is beautiful, so it's pretty hard to complain about anything when staying at Base Camp.
The entire unit is wonderfully appointed, and the kitchen area is fantastic. We only ate out one night. Having a second living area on the first floor is perfect for teenagers who like to have their own space. The floor plan provides the best of both worlds...togetherness and independence.
The hot tub on the side deck provided sweet relaxation after a day of skiing, and we felt spoiled as we enjoyed the fireplace (one of three in the unit) while soaking.
Wonderful visit, and we'd repeat the experience in a heartbeat.

We just recently went to Winter Park for skiing and stayed at Base Camp 456 for the weekend. This was a perfect place to stay for our trip. We had 3 families (6 adults and 7 children). We had plenty of room to relax (if you call 7 kids running around relaxing) and sleeping arrangements was easy with the 4th bedroom bunk-bed system. The 4th bedroom (bunk beds) was set off away from the other upstairs bedrooms and had its own living room area with TV/DVD. The kids had their own little "get a way", which made the adults very happy. The other 3 bedrooms were perfect. The kitchen was nice and full service. The hot tub on the back patio was the perfect answer to the many aches and pains we received on Mary Jane Mountain. The Corridor ski run (green slope) is available about 150 yards from Base Camp 456. The trail you have to walk to get to the Corridor slope is easy and takes less than 4 min. The trail is slightly uphill and the stairs were the hardest part (which was nothing). It was nice to be able to take off your skis and walk 150 yards to your front door. I want to end by thanking everyone at Winter Park Lodging Company for making this the easiest trip I have been on. Ya'll were so awesome. From helping me pick out Base Camp 456, to travel plans from the airport, to meeting me really early Friday morning to deliver our lift tickets, ya'll were on top of everything and so polite in doing so. But I have to send a special "shout out" to my queen Samantha("Sam"). I called her stressed out about 100 times and finally, in the end, she would just answer with a "yes Kevin, how can I ease your stress?" She was so willing to help me with any questions I had and even on the trip she would give me advise on restraunts and shopping for the girls. She was... my "ambassador of quan". In conclusion, if you are looking at staying and skiing Winter Park, Base Camp 456 is one of your answers to a dream vacation. God Bless!!

This is a fantastic unit in an amazing location. We had 8 people with plenty of room for all (and then some) and it was a great value. The on-slope location is very unique and for anyone who doesn't want to make the short climb, shuttle service is quick and comes right to your door, with drop-off and pick-up right at the lift, you don't even have to walk through the resort like other shuttle riders. This unit couldn't have been better unless it was at the top of Mary Jane! We hope to return soon and often and really appreciate all the service and amenities that were a part of the package. We loved our stay at base camp 456. We had plenty of room for the families and children we were with. Kids loved the hot tub! We loved the proximity to the ski resort, etc. Great place to relax after skiing. Nice cozy and inviting atmosphere. Just what we expected in a ski lodge condo. We couldn't quite figure out why we only had 4 tv stations, but we weren't there to watch tv. We experienced trouble with the wireless network, but the team came out to fix it. Sarah and the whole staff were very accommodating! The best! Thanks for a memorable time! Read more
Glad you loved it, Robin! We checked the TV and all is working well with the cable. The only thing we can think of is that you had it on the wrong setting as if you change the basic remote channel off of 3, then you can't get to all of the cable settings.
Hope to see you again next year!

We really enjoyed our trip in January to Winterpark and the townhouse at Base Camp 456 was great. There was plenty of room for the 8 teenagers who accompanied us. Our plan is to reserve again and probably sometime in December of 2011. The boys and girls who accompanied us were on their college winter break and they all noted that the trip was the highlight of their break!

Base Camp #456 was an awesome home for our ski trip! Four families shared the home and had more than enough space. Kitchen is equipped wonderfully - won't need to bring a thing. Hot tub is perfect after a long day on the slopes. Master bedroom and bathroom is great. Radiant heat throughout kept the house toasty. Ski in/out is a little difficult (perfect for blue skiiers but too tough for the beginners in our group) but the shuttle bus stop is literally right out the front door and ran very frequently. As you can tell, we had a great time and would definitely recommend this place and we plan on staying again when we come back to ski at Winter Park.

Base Camp is a FABULOUS hidden community.
We loved unit 456. It was fabulous! It was a corner unit so it did not have lots of walls in the best rooms, kitchen and living room. This corner unit had plenty of windows which made it so pretty at night. The shuttle stopped right outside our door.
I loved our lower level bedroom because it had an outside comfortable seating area to watch tv.
The rooms upstairs were hidden away - nicely designed and plenty space in each room.
The large open space from the living room to the kitchen was also nicely designed.
The only thing we did not like, all the other units had surround sound systems and this unit did not, no daily housekeeping, and no private shuttle.

We had great service from start to finish with the Winter Park Lodging Company. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful.
The House was absolutely gorgeous! It was big enough to fit our large group of 10 comfortably. It was nice to be able to fit everyone in the kitchen for our meals. We also really enjoyed the games the owners had available! And the heated floors were a definite plus!
However, we did have a few complaints. We would not necessarily recommend this place if you are looking for a true ski in/ski out. The hike to and from the trail is definitely a work out in itself. We had people who opted to eat lunch on the mountain to avoid making the hike more than in the morning and at night.
Another thing was the hot tub. It was never actually "hot". We couldn't use the tub because it was too cold to sit out in the luke warm water. They called a maintenance man and said they had fixed it and that there is a rule in CO where the water has to be under a certain temp, but it never even got close to that temp. We stayed at the Iron Horse Lodge the year before and their hot tubs were about twice as warm as this one.
One other thing about the house, is that there weren't enough plates, glasses and utensils. We had to run the dishwasher after every meal and at night to make sure we had clean glasses/plates for the next one.
All in all, we had a blast and are definitely glad we stayed in this unit. Winter Park is a great place to ski and this house was the perfect place to relax afterwards. Read more
Thank you for the review and the suggestions. We have fixed the hot tub by increasing the power source and so it is now very hot and bubbly. Come by and try it out - we'd love to have you as guests again.
We also have gotten more plates, glasses and utensils, so we're all set for your next stay.

We got exactly what it said on the box!
All the things we expect from WPBO, such as stylish and clean
accomodation and a welcome that seems to pervade not only the resort of
Winter park but also the rental properties that WPBO represent we got!
Winter park became our resort of choice when we lived in Denver and
always rented through WPBO. We really appreciate the reliability of the
service and feel that the properties are always marketed accurately.
We loved Base Camp 456 and fought over the ridiculously comfy love seat
and footstool everynight.
We loved the convenience of the ski in/out location and the ski rental outlet
at the Ironhorse resort over the road.
The only slight criticism is that we are English and love to cook and felt that
for the size of the house and it's capacity we could have done with more
pots, pans and ovenware (though thanks for the kettle on the stove so we
Brits could have our morning tea!). Some more glasses and tableware would
also have been nice.
All in all a truly wonderful holiday. Loved the house, the skiing, and all the
new cool things at Winter Park resort base
