Centennial, CONice Ski Condo
Left on 03/07/2013 for a stay in February 2013
This is a nice 1br condo which is convenient to the base and lifts at Winter Park. It's around the back of the building so you have to walk down 2 fairly long corridors from the elevators to get there. Then there is a 3min or so walk from the building to the zephyr lift, a bit longer if you need to drop kids off at lessons at Sorenson Park. A little annoying clumping along in ski boots but not too bad. Beats parking, catching the gondola and walking through the base to get to the lifts. Speaking of parking there is a parking garage in the building so for $14/day you have that convenience. The unit itself is small, there is seating for only 3 at the dining table. It has a kitchenette so there are 2 burners on the stove, no oven and only a bar fridge. However it does have microwave and dishwasher. The furnishings are clean and up to date. It accommodates 4 people with a king in the bedroom and a queen sofa sleeper in the living room. Flat screen TV with cable and DVD player in the lounge and old style CRT tv also with cable and DVD in the bedroom. Ski locker on the ground floor is also provided. All in all we are very pleased with our stay and it is ideal for a couple or a family with 1-2 kids, who don't have a great deal of food to store in the fridge and who aren't planning on baking. The staff at Winter Park lodging were friendly and helpful, and arranged for delivery of extra towels and toilet paper right to the door the same afternoon as we requested it.

Houston, txWonderful stay
Left on 01/04/2012 for a stay in December 2011
This was just what i expected for a winter vacation. The room was clean, cozy, and so close to the ski slopes. I could even come back and take a nap before going out again. Ladies answering the phones were nice. They even arranaged me to check-in earlier. The only thing i didnt like was there was no people onsite for immidiate hand-on help, especially during off hours.

Glenwood Springs, ColoradoThis gorgeous condo was very sunny and quiet.
Left on 12/23/2011 for a stay in November 2011
My husband is disabled and the location was nice because it was a short walk for him to the hot tub and just across the street from Starbucks. It was an easy walk to the lifts for me. We parked close to the elevator and he could manage the walk down the hallways to the condo. We especially enjoyed the gorgeous bathroom with glass shower. The deep tub looked inviting! It appeared very small when we first walked in the door but it did not feel small at all once we settled in. The bathroom was beautiful as were the furnishings and everything was up-to-date. The list of instructions were easy to follow and we were very comfortable for our 2-night early season stay.

We enjoyed our stay so much! The condo is located on the same floor as the hot tub.We found this to be very convienent. The fireplace was awesome. Everything was very comfortable. We have been to Winter Park before, but never stayed in Founder's Pointe. It is the only way to go. Winter Park Lodging Company made our stay perfect. We only had a few questions, and they answered them right away. They were very helpful.

Arvada, COWasn't as described by reservation representative.
Left on 09/28/2011 for a stay in September 2011
The condo was fine but I made two calls to the reservation office to make sure that this was not on the ground floor and not next to the highway... it was both. The reservation people don't know the property at all. She also encouraged us to stay there because of the great hot tub... which was drained when we were there! We were also supposed to get a free bike rental... Also closed while we were there. The property was clean, etc, but not as represented by the agent. I would never go back!
Response from Winter Park Lodging Company - 10/22/2011
Manager
Hi Cheryl,
Thank you for taking the time to review the condo. We respectfully disagree with this review, however, as the condo is on the 3rd floor (not the ground floor) and is not next to the highway. The entire village of Winter Park is within 1/4 mile of the highway, so technically it is "near" but not next to the highway. We were saddened to hear that you feel we don't know the properties - all of our agents are really well trained and reside in Winter Park at our reservation office. I'm sorry you felt you were mislead.
Yes, in late the off season the hot tub can be down for repairs. We tried to inform all guests of this risk when they booked for late September. We are sorry you feel you would not return.

We loved staying right at the base of Winter Park and the condo was perfect! Very clean and roomy. Great for my husband and I to spend the weekend. Also enjoyed having the hot tub to ourselves because hardly anyone was at the resort. If we could get another deal like we did ($100 for 2 nights) we would go back! I hope next summer you offer a similar deal.

Left on 07/13/2011 for a stay in July 2011
The experience was absolutely wonderful. I would go back in a heart beat. My 7 year old grandson and I had so much fun and loved staying at Founders Point. The room was very clean and the beds were so comfortable.
We bought an adventure Day Pass and it was so nice just to walk to the area and play and then walk back to the room for lunch and a dip in the hot tub.
I loved vacationing at Founders Pointe and my only regret was that I only stayed 2 nights. I could have stayed at least one more night so my grandson and I could explore the area more.
Everything was so great!!!

Left on 04/08/2011 for a stay in April 2011
Stayed here with my lady friend and another couple. Was a convenient spot for snowboarding/skiing but was a little pricey for the quality. Furniture was a bit junky and it would have been nice to have some little extras like Salt and Pepper, A Wine Opener, Napkins to name a few. Also on check in, the lodge didn't have my info in the computer and it would be nice to move the check in time to 2pm instead of 4. Hot tub and BBQ were nice.

Left on 03/04/2010 for a stay in February 2010
I've stayed at this condo for 6 nights with my son. It's very nice unit with gas fire place, everything was clean and working, within short walking from lifts and WP resort village. Unit is located on the same floor as hot tub too. You will appreciate having kitchenette as making breakfast/lunch-to-go is very easy and much less expensive than eating out every day (food in the city of Winter Park is very good though - try Rise and Shine place by Conoco in Winter Park for breakfast - you won't regret). Unit has also ski locker assigned to it at he first floor that can hold all your equipment (boots and skis/boards).
Couple of minor things:
- it gets hot and dry (which was good for wet skiing jacket but not my nose :)). Unit had humidifier in the closet but I just was too lazy and tired at the end of the day to set it up and use it. You can always open balcony/window as a quick fix.
- windows are comming out to a wooded area with parking area nearby - it's not a front-side property facing unit. This was really not that important to me as I was skiing all day. Also even though parking area is nearby I didn't have any noise issues.
Overall I think it's a great value and we were sad to leave the place. Skiing was great (3 true "powder" days out of 5 days of skiing) and at the end of the day it was nice to relax at the hot tub, go out for dinner or watch some TV (there are 2 TVs - one in living room, one in bedroom). Proximity to the lifts was also much appreciated, especially in the morning. -

This unit is in Colorado not Alabama. We loved our condo. This unit was very roomy for a family of four. The frige is dorm size, so it can be inconvenient. The outdoor hot tub is amazing. We loved the skiing and downtown shopping. The actual Winter Park Lodging company seems a little unorganized. They were friendly however. They had a difficult time posting our payments correctly as well as the other family we were traveling with.
Great vacation. Make sure you purchase the coupon book that is offered. You will save about 40% on lift tickets.Response from Winter Park Lodging Company - 02/05/2010

Thank you for the review of the condo. We apologize that we seemed unorganized with the credit card postings. We had you under the same name and our system kept updating both reservations with the new address. Next time, we'll book you as two separate reservations to make it easier.
We look forward to having you back again,
