Vacation Home Snob
San Diego CAWow! we fell in love with Winter Park
Left on 04/18/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We had never been to Winter Park before and now we know what we have been missing. The house was so close to the lifts we would (should) have walked but we were just too tired after such a long day of riding fresh soft powder all day. The team at Winter Park Lodging Company were awesome and extremely helpful. They helped us arrange for lift tickets, snowboard rentals and groceries too!! The house was beautiful and very well stocked. The hot bubbly jacuzzi was perfect after a day on the mtn. There were even some beautiful foxes who played on the hillside in back of the house. It was fun to watch them while drinking our morning coffee. Overall this was a wonderful vacation and the house and the management team really made it over the top. Thank you. We will be back again very soon.

Base Camp 450 couldn't have been better. We had a group of H.S. Seniors and dads and this place was perfect. There was plenty of room to eat in when we wanted and it was a great place to relax after we ate out. The laundry was full sized for drying our gear. It was a pretty easy walk to the ski trail, but the shuttle came right by the front door, too. Tons of room in a beautiful home and setting. Winter Park Lodging took fantastic care of us. We would definitely go back.

So comfortable a place to relax in such a beautiful setting.
Nice and quite there. Its the best summer vacation rental we've had in Winter Park. We enjoyed it so much I was tempted to book it now for same time next year! We will return and I hope to book BaseCamp #450. I could try to describe what was so special here but the reasons are too numerous. Just "trust me" you'll love it at BaseCamp #450.
Thanks Winter Park Lodging Co for your excellant service and properties!!Response from Winter Park Lodging Company - 09/06/2012

This was a truly great place for 13 friends to stay. We had plenty of room to both congregate and spread out. The decor is top of the line. Just be prepared for an uphill hike to the ski slope!
Response from Winter Park Lodging Company - 03/14/2012

and if you don't want to hike up the hill, the free shuttle stops right in front and will take you straight to the lifts - no effort required. :)

Slidell, LABeautiful home, great accomodations
Left on 03/24/2011 for a stay in March 2011
This is a lovely home and we very much enjoyed our stay. Went with friends and all of our teens. Lower rooms were great for teens to sleep and hang out. Great kitchen, but could have used a few more pots and pans as we ate all meals in and with our large group it would have made it a little more convenient. Overall experience - excellent!

Greeley, COperfect weekend
Left on 02/25/2011 for a stay in February 2011
our family with teenage friends in tow...we had a fantastic weekend of skiing and relaxing in our beautiful mountain unit. It was cozy and luxurious! The master bed and bath was the best ever...the kitchen was a great place for hanging out together and eating after a long day, the teen age boys had a fantastic man cave to hang out in after a long day on the slopes. The shuttle to WP base was fast and easy and we rented equipment within 100 yards of our unit...easy easy easy! Our only complaint was that the hot tub was itsy bitsy, would be better if it had been full sized. We will go back!

Left on 01/27/2011 for a stay in January 2011
The place was awesome. Very spacious and clean. The hard wood and stone were gorgeous. The garage and driveway were very nice for our two cars. The only drawback we had was the information to get to the Corridor run was not correct; we had to find that on our own. And a larger hot tub would have been nicer.

Houston, TexasAwesome place to stay!
Left on 01/26/2011 for a stay in January 2011
Base Camp #450 was a beautiful place to stay. We had 13 of us in our party and there was plenty of room. It was very reasonably priced and worth every penny we paid and then some. The only thing that I would recommend, is to maybe get a few more large pots for cooking. Quite a few of us walked the trail to the slopes. If you are in ski gear, you will definitely be winded by the time you get to the trail run but the walk is beautiful. The other option is the bus service which is free of charge. Picks you up pretty much right outside the door and takes you to the base of Winter Park ski resort. We were very impressed by the people who managed this property. They were there if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who might be traveling to Winter Park. Thanks for an awesome stay! We will definitely be back!

Left on 09/30/2010 for a stay in September 2010
The place was very nice and it was in a great location. The hot tub was small for a place that slept so many people, and there seemed to be a shortage of dishes, pots and pans. If there could have been extra pillows and blankets in each room that would have been great.
Response from Winter Park Lodging Company - 10/05/2010
Manager
Thank you for the review. We took your feedback and purchased more dishes, pots and pans. They are all nice, new and of high quality. We hope to have you back soon to enjoy. We also made sure there were plenty of pillows (some extras were hiding in the closets) as well as blankets.

Left on 04/12/2010 for a stay in March 2010
The condo at Base Camp was roomy, luxurious, and well appointed. I would definitely stay in the same location without any reservation whatsoever. We had a minor glitch with the wireless internet and the Lodging Company was prompt in addressing this problem. If I wanted to nit-pick, the hot tub could have been larger as we had 9 people all trying to get into the tub as the lifts closed and it only held 2 people. Also, I would question the designation as a ski-out condo. It is a pretty good uphill hike to the Corridor ski run. The shuttle runs right by the front door and was highly convenient and we did ski in to the complex at the end of the day. I felt as if we got excellent value with this condo and the service provided.

Very comfortable place! We had a great time.
The team that handled our reservation, Amy and her colleagues, were very
helpful! Thanks.
We would have given five stars if it had been a real Ski-in / Ski-out location,
like Zephyr, now we had to take the green shuttle.
Looking forward to do business again with this team. -

house was beautiful, we had no heat in certain areas for a few or more days, the HVAC guy was great, we couldnt use the lower bedroom/tv area for kids due to the cold, they did bring a heater the last night though. We had to leave the garage door open to the house because it was warmer than downstairs

Bob,
Thank you for writing a review. We have fixed the HVAC system so the downstairs rooms are toasty warm. We hope you will return again. We look forward to hosting you.

Left on 01/29/2010 for a stay in January 2010
#450 provided a very comfortable environment to spend a week with family
and friends. The service provided, from booking to check-out, was responsive
and professional. When we had an issue, shortage of bath towels, the response
was prompt and friendly. The home was comfortable, well furnished and
strategically located for all of our needs. Of minor note, glassware was a bit
lacking. The addition of wine glasses and broader selection of daily use glasses
may serve the renters better. The ski delivery service was great.....certainly a
big time saver and minimized frustration of rental lines!!
We will come back and utilize WPLC in procuring our lodging.Response from Winter Park Lodging Company - 01/29/2010

Thanks for the review. Good news! We have purchased several more wine glasses and regular drinking glasses. Thanks for the tip!

This place is absolutely fantastic. Beautiful home and very welcoming. Fireplace in kitchen also displays outside as you are in the hot tub! So close to lifts but easier to catch bus than walk/ski. We so want to return, trying to plot with friends to make it happen.
