Iowa City, IAGood Location, met our needs, great trip - but no snow!
Left on 08/06/2012 for a stay in December 2011
We stayed here for a week over Christmas 2011. Family of 4 plus two of our son's buddies; and an Uncle who came at the last minute. The bunk room worked perfectly for the teen boys. Master for mom and dad, daughter in the 3rd. bedroom and uncle on the sofabed. So cozy, but room for everyone.
Kitchen well equiped - no problem with cooking everything we wanted. Fireplace somewhat smokey on the draw...but ok. Location good, right up from the Safeway. Pool was great! Some initial problems getting the key from the lockbox, but owner was available on the phone - even on Christmas Day. Also, lock codes for woodshed were wrong, but got it worked out. Not as new and fancy as some rentals we considered - but worked fine and was great on the budget! Now if Winter Park had just had any snow...
