Palo AltoOur Experience
Left on 03/06/2013 for a stay in February 2013
It is a challenge to tell what a place is like through a website and photos. The condo was clean, comfortable and well decorated. I love to cook and my biggest complaint about the kitchen was that it was missing a non metal spatula - to use on 3 non stick frying pans. There also wasn't much workspace in the kitchen, but the dishwasher was a luxury for me and worked quite well. We were just a few miles from the ski-lift which was great. My major complaint about the "pool and hot-tub" is that they were not well supplied with towels. On Saturday night when we went after skiing- they ran out (although we each managed to get a towel before they ran out completely). On Sunday after skiing, I had to make an additional trip back to our unit to get towels. Sadly, my husband came down with a fever and didn't get to go skiing with us, but I was glad that he was comfortable at the condo and enjoyed access to movies, which kept him entertained while we were skiing. He was also in no condition to go to restaurants- so it was good to be able to cook. It was our first time in Winter Park, so I wasn't sure how good the stores were there- for basic groceries (we were coming from California and needed everything). There was a regular Safeway supermarket within 5 miles of the condo. Often we find some basics when we rent places, but aside from a little salt and pepper- there were no spices or basics in the kitchen.
We chose the unit because it had twin beds in the room we gave our son and niece to share, so it worked out well for us. My husband complained that he found it "dark" - the windows are only at the front and back because it is a middle unit.
Unfortunately, the ignition to our rental vehicle froze and we couldn't leave as early as we hoped, because we couldn't! My husband missed his flight. The property management folks were helpful and understanding and didn't penalize us for not being able to turn in our key by 10 am.

Plano, TXSnow in Winter Park
Left on 09/30/2009 for a stay in September 2009
We had a wonderful experience with our trip to Winter Park & our stay in this condo. It was very clean, lots of towels, & all the necessities for needed for cooking. It snowed all three days that we were there & the scenery was beautiful. We will definitely use Vacations Inc. again for our next vacation.
