Magical view and very romantic. We managed to get a last minute booking after trying a number of times to get away, but don't rely on that! The only issue with this place is that time passes too quickly so make sure you use every moment you have to take in where you are and what you can see. Even though it was still quite mild, we lit the fire and had a glass of red and cheese while listening to the waves crashing on the rocks. If you walk across the road to the beach, you can explore amazing rock formations and eat wild blackberries on the way through.
While staying at the property, take food with you if you plan on staying in otherwise you will waste time driving into apollo Bay...essentials and all cooking needs are supplied. -

The cottage and surrounding property are simply magical. It's short drive into two charming towns with excellent beaches, with a lovely private beach just across the road. The cottage itself is beautiful and cozy -- Bryan and Joan really go all out to make sure guests have everything they need and more. Loved the sheep, bunnies and koalas. Hard to leave!

Would definitely recommend this nice and cosy house to anyone!
The views were vast and picturesque. We loved the sound of the waves at night, and together with the rain made for a very relaxing stay.
The owners were very friendly and caring; our gift hamper was a lovely touch. -

Whitecrest Great Ocean Road Resort Highly recommend, Staff very accommodating we booked a late checkout so could make the most of our time there,.. Everything there you could possibly need, an absolutely beautiful place to stay, private, tranquil an amazing view all that I was hoping for and more,......
Will most definitely be going back but next time will be for longer,....

The view was amazing ... the room was huge ... large bathroom and the seating area was great. The beds are so comfortable and the pillows to die for. Very comfortable and a great way to relax and see/hear/smell the ocean ... -

Points South is is a wonderful spot providing a peace and tranquility away from the madding crowd...
We enjoy the solitude away from the husstle and bussel of apollo Bay but you are close enough to pop into either apollo Bay or Wye River to top up on supplies or have dinner at a restaurant.
We spent our time reading, listening to the sea or having a snooze in the afternoon. The window seat is an ideal spot to soak up the sun and feel all snug and cosy...
Most of our time was spent in and around the cottage. Venturing out once to Port Fairy and stopping at the Bay of Matryrs and the Bay of Isles on the way back... the rock formations are spectacular.. and we had dinner at La Bimba twice... it is very comfortable for two people...
We only saw our neighbours once. It felt like we had the whole property to ourselves...
This is our 3rd visit and have no hesitation recommending Points South to anyone who likes to have the peace and solitude it offers.

A simply lovely rental with great attention to detail. All the amenities provided, along with a thoughtful welcome hamper. Excellent laundry facilities carefully guarded by koala and a wallaby!!
Highly recommend this to anyone looking to get away from hotel rooms, and enjoy some privacy and wonderful views. The sound of the surf will lull you to sleep !!!Response from Bryan James - 01/13/2012
