      Wonderfully equipped home!

Left on 08/30/2012 for a stay in August 2012

My family and I traveled from various cities and countries to be together for a short family reunion. After significant travel times, we were all happily surprised to find a beautiful, clean and well-equipped home.

We spent our days visiting local attractions (Pike's Peak, Royal Gorge, Garden of the Gods, Airforce academy to name a few), which were all easy day trips... an important point since there were three small children in our group. We did our grocery shopping at nearby supermarkets and prepared family dinners in an open-style kitchen and nearby patio (with grill), which made wonderful spaces for chatting and relaxing while kids played in the living area.

I would point out that there are stairs throughout the home and the exterior access point to the patio. Naturally, this required moderate supervision when older parents and/or young children were going upstairs/downstairs.

I would recommend this home to anyone wishing to cool off in the Colorado mountains during the heat of summer and enjoy a hassle-free vacation. We are indeed looking forward to a future visit!!!

      a dream came true

Left on 08/20/2012 for a stay in August 2012

Is not unusual that I get together with my children and grandchildren, although we live in different parts of the world; but this time it was exceptionally wonderful, my daughter's family flew from Hong Kong, my son's flew from austin, the rest of us from El Paso, Houston, maybe, the whether, the mountains, but particularly the house we stayed in, it was great, it had everything that the most experienced traveler could ask for; nice and comfortable bedrooms with extra pillows, blankets,,,plenty of space; the kitchen fully equipped; gas grill, toaster, blender, pots and pans, a large variety of (updated) spices. Washer & dryer, dishwasher, everything in mint condition;; I would recommend it to everyone.. the only sad thing .. we didn't stay long enough.. But we're already making plans for next year...

You want the best you got it!

Left on 09/17/2011 for a stay in November 2009

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here, and we can't wait to go back. The home is absolutely gorgeous with the best upgrades. It's fresh, clean, and decorated beautifully.
The master bedroom is large and has a wonderful soaking tub. The family room is very spacious with a great wood burning fire place, and the balcony off of the kitchen has breathtaking views of the woods and mountains.
The downs stairs family area is huge with extra bedrooms and a large bathroom with shower. There are great trails for biking, running, and RV fun. We enjoyed every minute this property had to offer. It was nothing less than a 5 star property for sure!

      Relaxing

Left on 09/12/2011 for a stay in May 2011

This Rocky Mountain Log Home has it all! The Kitchen is well stocked with spices and plenty of dishes and cooking pots and pans. The view is spectacular and the area is quiet except for an occational vehicle going by. There is plenty of room for you to be with a loarge group or to slip away fro some quiet time. The beds are wonderful and the rooms are a nice size. Having wireless internet capability is also a plus. There are plenty of movies to choose from if you want to spend an evening watching with the family and a nice selection of good books to read. I had a delightful time living in this cabin for a week and hope to return again. It was too cold for us to be out on the deck while there but we did use the gas grill and I imagine the deck experience would be a nice and the rest of the house. the description was accruate and the photos are too. the cabin was clean and well maintained. The owners were easy to work with and answered any questions we had. I would highly recommend this this beautiful house for a getaway. Manitou Springs and Woodland Park are only a few miles away and there are plenty of restaurants and things to do.

      A great get-away

Left on 09/11/2011 for a stay in May 2008

The home is beautiful and in a magnificent setting. Great view of Pike's Peak (elevation 14,114') from the living room and deck. It has all the amenities one would want in a mountain home. Nearby is hiking, hunting, fishing, skiing, great sightseeing, wildlife viewing; while sitting on the deck we saw deer, elk, fox, humming bird's, squirrel's. It was very peaceful great for morning and evening walks. The home and amenities are exactly as shown on the listing. The home is only a few short miles from Woodland Park, CO. Woodland Park , population 7,600, has all the amenities one would expect from a small mountain community, grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, sports activities, community activities, places to rent recreational toys (Atv's, bicycles), churches, etc. If Woodland Park doesn't have what you are looking for Colorado Springs is only 17 miles away.

It Can't Get any Better Than This!!!

Left on 09/08/2011 for a stay in August 2008

Luxurious and cozy at the same time. My husband and I are both in the army and have four children so it's not often that we're able to really relax and we didn't expect this vacation to be much different. However, the moment we walked through the door of this spacious, immaculate, and welcoming log home our worries disappeared and for once we were able to relax and enjoy life. There is so much to do in the area, whether it's horseback riding, shopping, four-wheeling, or enjoying a wonderful dinner experience in the local quaint town, everyone, even the children, will find something to do. The owner's are very military friendly. We can't wait to return

      Breathtaking!...Lovely!...Peace & Tranquility!

Left on 09/08/2011 for a stay in August 2010

Can't wait to come back! How we miss starting our days on the gorgeous deck overlooking Pikes Peak, sipping our morning coffee. We came home wanting to redecorate & remodel our kitchen & bath after being spoiled for 2 weeks to the impeccable decor, so warm & peaceful, & the quality of the kitchen & baths! Everything you may need is supplied including a waffle maker! And the quality continues throughout this home, including the linens, as well as it being spotlessly clean. We love the elegance that is brought to the mountain cabin theme throughout & the moose...love the moose!!! The pictures are lovely but don't even do this property any justice...it's far more beautiful when you arrive. Area attractions & information was well provided showing the many places to enjoy in close proximity. During our stay we enjoyed many day trips including Breckenridge, Boulder, Denver, Manitou Springs, Old Colorado City, attractions, and so much more. The location of this property gives you the choice of total rest & relaxation, or conveniently active with so much to do including an awesome state park to spend the day fishing & having a picnic. An added bonus to this property is how close it is to gas stations & all the stores you need with a supermarket that has a delicious bakery department! We're hoping to be able to plan a winter getaway next. The thought of snuggling up in front of a crackling fire with the full view of Pikes Peak is an experience we are very excited to have & our teenage son can't wait to ski the Rockies! We also plan to return to hike Pikes Peak...looks like we'll be returning many times to this property! This property has already blessed us with many wonderful memories we will have forever & we intend to make many more. We obviously recommend this property to everyone!
