Recently renovated and decorated, Mango Grove is a stunning, traditional Caribbean style two-level dwelling at the edge of the rain forest, with sweeping views of the Ocean, just steps above a quiet beach. The only building on a very large private property, the upper level wraparound deck overlooks its grove of mango trees. The lower two bedroom level features an indoor/outdoor pool with waterfall, a large elegant pool deck and an outdoor great room with grand piano.

Main Season: November 15th to April 15th
Christmas Holidays: Rate upon request. Out of Season Rate: $2000/week. Deposit of 50% on agreement, balance plus damage deposit of $500 due 30 days before arrival
7% Hospitality Tax if required by government, to be paid by renter
Cancellation policy: 1/2 back if 45 days notice of cancellation, 1/4 back if 30 days notice of cancellation; full refund of balance if rented for agreed period. Credit against future rental for up to one year if not re-rented
Minors Policy: Maximum three children if accompanied by parents. No renters under age 25 without parents
Additional charge of $100 per person per week for extra people if more than four are using the house.
Accept personal cheque for deposit, draft or certified cheque for balance.
Volcano Credit: If volcanic eruption will affect daily life during rental, full credit will be given for future visit within the next 18 months at 33% discount on regular cost.

My friends and I stayed in Mango Grove for 10 days during Montserrat's St. Paddy's day festivities. The accomodations were great, kitchen was sufficient, tons of outdoor space, close to the ocean, really couldn't ask for much else. We ate all our meals on the upstairs patio overlooking the ocean. The pool was great for a quick cool down in the afternoon after a morning of hiking or island exploring. The downstairs bedroom is amazing. Lots of big screened windows meant the temperature was always perfect, you could hear the ocean and the forest. Geographically, it is a very short walk to the beach (I recommend using the road rather than the trail through the wooods), very close to the grocery store Rams (and the neighboring produce stands on the road) and a quick drive from Salem, where most of the festivities took place. We were warned by locals that the water at Woodlands beach can be a little rough. The first two days this was the case (it was apparently an abnormally bad for the whole island, the ferry wasn't even running because of coastal waves), but after that it was no worse than an average beach day on the east coast of the USa. The downstairs pool area has plenty of seating and a fantastic view of the sunset. You really feel alone as there are only two villas within view on the patio, and neither are close enough to feel your privacy being invaded. Some of the photos of this villa make it seem larger than it actually is, but it is still a very comfortable, spacious house that can easily accomodate a large group of adults. We plan on visiting Montserrat again and will definitely look into the availability of Mango Grove.

Our experience at Mango Grove and Montserrat stands out as the most memorable and unique travel experience so far. We were fortunate to have a full moon during our stay. The veiw from our bedroom of the moonlight sparkling on the Caribbean was breathtaking.My wife was thrilled with the pool that is half protected from the elements yet open to the Sun and ocean view.The poolside grand piano was another hit. The owners were excellent in providing us with information about the property and also leaving us with lots of information to help us find our way around the island.If one is looking for night life and shopping this is not the place to go. If you are looking for peace and quiet, magnificent scenery and a freindly, safe island paradise, then Mango Grove and Montserrat would be really hard to top.

Newly renovated villa, thoughtfully designed and appointed. All-weather pool and outdoor living area. Beautiful views of the sea, and a short walk to the beach. An ideal spot for exploring the island. We look forward to a return visit.

The house is beautiful, very private, and where else in the world can you play a grand piano in a gorgeous setting and then walk a few steps and jump in the pool!
The owners are very solicitous and the house is well equipped. -

A week in Paradise (mid-January, 2012) - Mango Grove, Montserrat.
Breakfast on the terrace, an unobstructed view of the sparkling turquoise waters of the Caribbean, surrounded by lush foliage and gorgeous flowers. Lunch around your very private pool, complete with waterfall (and baby grand piano!)And just a short walk to the most beautiful, quiet beach. The whole house has been just completed and is filled with Caribbean-style and antique furniture as well as up-to-date appliances and a well-supplied kitchen. The villa has a flat-screen TV in the living room as well as a TV in the lower level. Each bedroom is tastefully and artistically decorated in different styles - and most comfortable. We are looking forward to returning to Mango Grove soon.
