This one bedroom very private and quiet apartment is on a cliff with a 50 mile view of the Hudson Valley and Catskill Mountains.You can sit in the large screened in porch and hear a 15 foot waterfall. Cook a romantic dinner and sip wine while looking at nature. We are centrally located on a cliff 7 minutes to Woodstock the famous artists colony or Saugertis where the 2nd Woodstock Festival was in 1994. We are perched on a cliff with a 50 mile view of the Hudson Valley and the Catskill Mountains.We are centrally located 7 minutes from the Village Green in Woodstock and the historic town of Saugerties. We have a 50 foot waterfall below us which you can listen to and relax.

We are very negotiable depending on arrival and departures.Our fees are based on 2 person occupancy. We require a deposit if it is booked in advance. We accept personal checks a month in advance,cash or credit cards through paypal with a 4% service fee.

This lovely spot was the ideal weekend getaway from the city. Wish we could've stayed longer! The view is even more beautiful than it looks in the pictures, the place is extremely clean and cozy, and the location is minutes away from downtown Woodstock. There is also great hiking in the area only 15 minutes away! Very nice host who was very helpful in suggesting activities and was very flexible with check-in and check-out.

My husband and I stayed at this lovely place for a week. Sitting in the screened in porch, overlooking the beautiful Hudson Valley, was so relaxing. Ihe place was clean, quiet and a wonderful retreat on a cliff. You could hear the water from a waterfalls a short distance away. Every amenity was available in the well designed kitchen.
Myra was an extraordinary hostess, and gave us insight into the many things to do and places to see (and there were many). I found it the best escape I've had in a long time, and will enthusiastically return again soon.Response from Myra Schwartz - 11/05/2012

Myra was very accommodating in setting up this rental for us. We were awoken at 2am by loud footsteps in the house above. Made for a long night. View was very nice though.

Not sure what the loud noise was. There was no one upstairs that evening. We were away and we are only 2 seniors livnign2 stories above. We do have animals outside on the cliff that do walk about sometimes. Sorry for the inconvenience

This downstairs apartment is perfect for two -- comfortable, well-equipped, and with a view that's both peaceful and beautiful enough that you may not even want to go exploring. But if you do, the house is well-located, with great access to Woodstock, Saugerties, and the entire region. We didn't meet Jerry, but Myra was friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

A wonderful apartment situated in a stunningly beautiful area in the midst of the Catskill Mountains with a breathtaking view across the Hudson Valley. An ideal base from which to explore the numerous places of interest in the surrounding area...Woodstock, Kingston, Rhinebeck, Saugherties (the Lighthouse is amazing), Olana,Omega centre for holistic studies and many, many more places.
The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable with dedicated parking and own entrance.
Owners, Myra and Jerry are very helpful and informative but not intrusive.
The large,covered and enclosed porch is a bonus and a pleasure to use.

If you're looking for a place nestled in the country but only 10 min. from the town of Woodstock, this is the place for you. Had everything we wanted in a vacation place. The best part was sitting on the screened in porch relaxing and having our "happy hour." It was so peaceful and believe me you won't be disappointed in this beautiful place.

I stayed for a month this summer to get to know the Catskill Mountains and to do academic research away from the noise and heat of Manhattan. I had lots of privacy and all the amenities to make this a home away from home. The owners are super friendly and suggested fun things to do in the area. Internet connection, air conditioning, hot water, cable, and all appliances ran well. I spent most nights sitting on the screened porch listening to the wind in the trees and watching the stars. During the day the view over the hills and all below is like a masterpiece. I had way more space than I needed; the rental could comfortably accommodate a family. Highly recommended!

The sounds of waterfall below a cliff looking out on miles of unobstructed vista of the hudson valley from the screened in porch. Large one bedroom with clean workable kitchen. 5 minutes from hip and happening Woodstock. Recommend La Cucina and the Bear rest. for high end dining experience and the hike up overlook mountain. We brought our infant and she loved the fresh air. Great getaway from NYC for the weekend- 2hrs direct door to door.

Lovely location minutes to Woodstock or Saugerties. Spotlessly clean with a well equipped kitchen so you can have an occasional meal at the rental. Lovely outdoor patio with breathtaking views. Great place to get away and relax or enjoy the local art, music or antiquing experience.
