Hartland Lodge has been built in the style of a Finnish lodge and offers accommodation for groups of up to eight people. An exciting holiday spot for a large family or a group of friends, Hartland Lodge has been laid out over one floor and the living areas have been designed in an open-plan style. There is a decked area to the rear of the property, offering ample opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine as the evening sun goes down. There is off-road parking for up to two cars.

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

Stayed for 5 days in this great quiet location. Fishing (need a licence) and golf available on site and plenty of lovely open countryside for walking the hound.
The log cabin was very well equiped and clean, every form of kitchen ware, glass ware and utensils you would ever need and even a dishwasher. Also hair dryer, DVD, CD system, video player, games for the children and much more. Three bedrooms and one sofa bed (one double with en-suite and two twin) so two showers, two toilets and one bath. Lovely large windows to take in the views. We stayed at the end of October but it would be great to stay in the summer and make use of the veranda.
The location is a little remote and there is not actually anything on site for children but don't think this is necessarily a negative as there is plenty of open space for playing safely and making your own outdoor amusement on this definetely dog friendly site. You just need to be prepared to drive 3-4 miles of lanes to get to the main road.
The location is about 10 miles from Bude in one direction and 10 miles from Bideford in the other direction. There are a couple of little villages that are a little closer with a couple of pubs and a few shops.
If you are after a quiet relaxing break, you won't get better than this. -

There is probably only one negative thing I can say about the lodge and that was check in, we asked if we could check in early and was told to ring when we were on our way but we couldnt get hold of anybody so we just turned up and waited outside until the cleaners had finished and just went in, felt a bit strange. Also they advertise a children's play area but that has been closed since October last year! That being said the lodge itself was very clean, spacious with all the amenities you could need! Lots of leaflets on the local area with day trips out in them were very useful. The views were also fantastic. Lodge 59 probably needs the decking fencing in a bit, my kids are young and they were wandering everywhere, but to be honest it was a quiet area so it didn't do any harm to let them! The surrounding area has plenty to do for all ages, we went out every day and still didn't do anywhere near everything! Would love to return for another holiday, the kids had the best time ever (in their words!).

My family included a 5 year old, a teenager, 3 - 20 year olds, a 50 and an 84. Everyone found the accommodation suited their needs. The environment was excellent for all members.

Very quite & peaceful place.The Chalet was well maintained,& had everything we needed-we have a 18month old. And with the golf course being "on site" I could have a bit of me time too.

WE really enjoyed our stay. Thought the chalets so well planned and designed. Wanted to take it home and find a plot of land and live in it!
We liked the quietness of the site, and the setting with all the ducks, the children thought them great. Shame about the crappy english wet weather!!! but would definitely go back and recommend it to others as well.
