We loved our stay at Night Cap Cottage. It is like a home away from home. It is stylishly furnished, well equipped and very clean. There were even personal touches like fruit, chocolate, milk and bread waiting for us on arrival. The views are stunning and we loved the horses and cattle in nearby fields. We'll be back and have already recommended it to friends.

Nightcap Cottage was a wonderful find for our annual three day trip away with good friends. The owner, Susie, was extremely warm and friendly in our communication and more than happy to oblige us with an early arrival time. Directions given were extremely easy to follow and from the turn off, we found ourselves driving in idyllic countryside through country lanes. The cottage is situated in a very pleasant setting with fantastic views from the front deck and one could easily be tempted to venture no further (especially with a cold wind blowing!) The warm welcome extended to the inclusion of flowers, fresh fruit, chocolate biscuits and very tasty bread, butter, homemade jam and milk, etc. We certainly appreciated the attention to detail. During our three day visit we enjoyed exploring Bangalow with its antiques, enticing shops and great food and coffee. But the surrounding villages are equally as inviting and we enjoyed a lovely pub lunch at nearby Eltham. We always like to 'hunt and gather' so we enjoyed stopping along the way to purchase fresh fruit, veges, honey and nuts from roadside stalls. A log fire at this time of year would have been pleasant, but nonetheless, we were very cosy once the heaters went on. We look forward to returning when the winds aren't blowing to enjoy meals on the deck.

Ian, Cam and I chose to stay at Nightcap Cottage after much research of the area because of it's rural situation as well as it's proximity to Bangalow where Cam was participating in the annual Chamber Music Festival.
We couldn't have been more delighted with our choice as the cottage was everything we'd hoped for and sooo much more. Our hosts were very obliging during the booking process and a request regarding an explanation of the heater was promptly dealt with.
With the best position in the area, the views from the expansive verandahs as well as from most of the rooms are nothing short of amazing.
The cottage is sundrenched and cosy and the cows are an essential bonus.
The area is breathtakingly pretty and the cottage so well appointed you might think you hadn't left home, with fresh flowers, home-made goodies, chocolate and acres of towels.
We love spending our holidays at Nightcap Cottage :)

Stunning views, tranquility, beautiful touches to the cottage & everything you require for a relaxing holiday. It's also a stones throw from the gorgeous town of Bangalow. We love spending our holidays here.

I'll always remember our time at Green Mango. Coming from Sydney, we stayed there for 4 days and left feeling totally rested with all our expectations of a Northern Rivers experience fulfilled. There was plenty of sunshine and rain so we spent most of our time lying in the sun on the deck or cooking in the well equipped kitchen.
I would recommend Greenmango whole heartedly.
Thanks Warren for your lovely review, we are very happy that you enjoyed your hinterland break.
Just to avoid any confusion for readers - this review is for Nightcap Cottage. (Green Mango was our B&B to which the cottage was affiliated).

A beautiful, peaceful location with magnificent views. The property is well supplied and welcoming. Quiet but well situated for the joys and amenities of the Byron Bay coast and the majesty of the hinterland. Great memories to bring back to the UK. Dreaming of the sunset views from the deck.

We have stayed at Night Cap so many times I can't count them...it is the most peaceful, beautiul setting in the world - perched on the side of the hill overlooking mountains, macademia trees, green, green grass and horses gently swishing their tails under the trees...the house itself is just perfect for a weekend or longer stay and Mick's orange marmalade is the best I've had! We have stayed at Night Cap in both summer and winter and both are perfect. We are always so sorry to leave which I think is sign of a perfect get away. Five Stars!

Follow the directions to Nightcap Cottage on a country road bordered with lush overhanging trees, views of distant rolling green hills and valleys dotted with majestic and modest farmhouses and you know you're headed somewhere special. The delightfully decorated Nightcap Cottage takes you to a secluded, tranquil world. Mick & Susie's welcoming touches - flowers, chocolates, fresh fruit, breakfast, kimonos - all set the scene. Nightcap Cottage has stunning views, is impeccably clean, spacious and well-equipped. Its proximity to National Parks, quaint rural villages, Bangalow and Byron Bay offers an active holiday or the opportunity to do nothing but relax.

We celebrated 20 years together at your cottage and it was the perfect end to a fabulous trip. Three nights was not enough - we didn't want to leave! We were surrounded by cows and horses, grassy paddocks and the hills in the distance. Totally private, yet a stones throw from Byron and Bangalow with great cafes. We wanted for nothing and loved cooking in your kitchen - you even had olive oil and plunger coffee to enjoy!
I have not experienced such great hospitality since a trip to Tassie several years back. We devoured your fruit, choc and bickies you left us and that jam - wow!
We will definitely be back again.
Thank you and best wishes,
Tracey, Jeff & Tyenna xx
