With 2 Master Suites, privacy for couples is a noticeable benefit of the smart design of this home. The larger of two Master Suites is located on the ground level. This quiet sanctuary is well appointed with king size bed, flat screen TV, and access to a very private enclosed patio.
This suite is further enhanced by the luxurious Master Bathroom. Warm earth tones and natural materials are the backdrop for spa-like amenities that include a sleek soaking tub, large walk-in slate shower with body jets & rain shower head, and large organized closets accented by sliding doors of frosted glass. Step outside to a second enclosed patio for a little sun worshipping!
Up the stairs, the main floor living space is open and bright with windows facing south and west. The warm floors of Teragran bamboo, combined with natural colors and surfaces, create a relaxed space to unwind. An ultra-suede couch w/ chaise lounge faces the fireplace and flat screen TV.
The comfort of the living room carries over to the dining area where a soft bench and assorted designer chairs offer eclectic seating options at the glass-top table.
The Kitchen is contemporary and efficient and filled with every amenity necessary to create easy family meals, or to entertain in fine style. A skylight floods the kitchen with light, and the built-in cabinetry creates openness. A nearby covered patio offers convenience for morning coffee or afternoon wine tasting.
Completing the floor plan of this main level is a bedroom with queen size bed, his & hers closets, and a hall bathroom just outside. Laundry is also located here on the main level for convenience to all the floors.
On the 3rd floor, the second Master Suite is tranquil with its cool colors of blue and grey. A roof-top patio is perched off the master bedroom. It faces north to enjoy fantastic views of the Santa Ynez mountains and the Santa Barbara cityscape beyond. A second balcony faces east for more stunning views. The Master bathroom with slate shower completes this private 3rd floor suite.

Great new house in West Beach area, about a block and a half from the beach. Easy walk to West Beach, the Harbor, and to one of the best hidden secrets in Santa Barbara, Rudy's Mexican food.
House was very clean, beautifully appointed and decorated, and a fun place to stay. Neighbors are friendly, the neighborhood is quiet and tucked away, but close enough to get downtown, to the wharf, beaches and restaurants.
The only thing you really don't get from the pictures is how vertical the house is. It's great if you're ok with stairs, but anybody with difficulty climbing should not stay here. It was fun for the kids because the top bedroom feels like a hideaway loft and the different levels keep everything very private.
Only reason I gave the location 4 stars instead of 5 is that there really isn't a view unless you go to the small patio on the top floor. Then, you get a decent mountain view, but really not much view toward the ocean. No complaints though, as this is a nice, quiet neighborhood that is well located. Also, you can't beat the price for this type of house near the beach in Santa Barbara. We will stay here again with the family.
Weekend with my girlfriends

This house was a perfect place for my dearest friends and I to meet up for a weekend. We didn't use the kitchen at all, but it appeared to be very nice. The bedrooms were comfortable, the house is very pretty, and the location is a quiet residential neighborhood. We were able to walk to harbor every night for dinner and drinks. We probably could've walked, however a very short drive brought us to State St. for us to enjoy the art museum, fabulous eateries and shopping. We also took a day trip to Ojai with ease. We had a wonderful time!

This house is in a fantastic location. Close to the beach and to Santa Barbara's downtown. Paradise Retreats makes everything very easy from reserving a house to check in. The house is very clean. Very modern inside and has all the amenities. It is perfect for a large family or for multiple couples.
Luxury and Space

What an extravagance! The lodging was both luxurious and spacious. The location was ideal; being just one block from the Santa Barbara shoreline and pier. For the price and accomodations, this stay is hard to beat. I highly recommend this place for any group of 6 people.

Harbor Retreat is a beautiful, well-appointed home in a very convenient location. I love to be able to walk everywhere and dispense with a car for a relaxing time. Harbor retreat is a 5 minute walk to the beach, the pier, and State Street for great shopping and eating options. I was there to celebrate my niece's 30th birthday, and we all really enjoyed the time in Santa Barbara at Harbor Retreat. We would love to return sometime.

The accommodations worked very well for us. Oma had the main floor bedrom, my wife and I had the downstairs master, and our son and his wife had the top floor bedroom. We loved the kitchen and the living room area. We utilized the barbecue as well. I liked the convenience of a nearby grocery and the two car garage parking. We enjoyed listening to the Oktoberfest music from the nearby festival. It was definitely the right choice for us.

Very nice house but needs blinds

The house was very nice, clean and quiet. There were a lot of stairs so if you don't like stairs I wouldn't recommend it. Also there were no blinds in the living area so we could look directly into the house across the driveway and the person there could look directly into our kitchen/dining/living room. We could see him eat dinner and watch TV and probably he could see us do the same. Otherwise it is a beautiful, new house in a good location.

We were extremely comfortable at this house. It was tastefully and well furnished, and had more than enough space for my husband and me and our three teenagers. We found some of the towels intended for us still in the dryer when we arrived, but that was insignificant compared to the best things about the house, which we loved going back to at the end of the day. Guests must leave enough time to take out the garbage before locking up at check-out.

This vacation rental is in a perfect location - close to the beach, State Street, trolley route and train station. The home is beautifully constructed with a large array of windows, patios and balconies that each have a lovely view. The beds were comfortable, the bedrooms nicely decorated and full of light and the living room/dining area/kitchen was perfect for our family get-together. My only (minor) complaint was that we did not realize that the bath towels were still in the dryer when we arrived - we looked through cabinets to no avail, but finally found them in the dryer. Also, there was liquid hand soap for all of the sinks except the downstairs bathroom. We had to go to the store for soap - the first time I've had to buy soap for a hotel or vacation rental. But these were minor issues -overall, it is a fantastic vacation rental.

Gorgeous Home and Eminently Livable

Our stay at Harbor Retreat was a fantastic experience. I had a little trouble finding the address, but a very friendly woman from Paradise Retreats helped me figure it out. The home was gorgeous - my dream home if I ever move to Santa Barbara. I loved the Spanish style architecture with its large windows and balconies. The kitchen was well designed for cooking. I loved the industrial stovetop/oven, spacious pantry and outdoor grill. The automatic skylight in the main living area made it easy to cool off the room. The great room on the second floor was comfortable with its sectional sofa and reading nook. In fact the whole house was comfortable. All of my family members felt instantly at home. The location a few blocks from the harbor and State Street was ideal. I took a run on the beach path every morning. My brother enjoyed strolling up State Street. My parents are elderly, so the stairs were a little challenging. We gave them the master bedroom downstairs to minimize the climbing. My dad also complained that the house wasn't well insulated (he was nonplussed with the recycled denim in the walls) and that he could hear everything going on in the house. On the other hand, I was impressed at the green technology incorporated into the home, and I didn't notice any noise traveling, possibly because our bedroom was on the third floor. It was nice to have a two car garage, although parking could be challenging if people dropped by to visit because there was only one guest spot for the entire townhouse complex and no street parking on weekends. The home is close to the freeway, grocery stores and the Paseo Nuevo shopping mall. We wanted to extend our checkout by a few hours. The woman from Paradise Retreats was sympathetic but unable to honor our request because other guests were checking in. Overall, I loved Harbor Retreat and I want to go back asap!
A perfect base

My parents, wife and two babies stayed at this property and we were very pleased. The owner's beautifully furnished a very high quality and well designed modern house. The only drawback might be that one house can see into your lounge but no one was there while we rented.
Perfect on every "level"!

Not only was it a fully appointed and beautiful place, but we were so comfortable...every detail is considered and our time flew by - we wish we could have stayed
