      Beautiful setting, nice roomy bedrooms.

      The view.

The beach at Viareggio and the walled city of Lucca within an hour's drive.

A very relaxing location in a beautifully equipped property.

The location and setting were ideal. We were able to have easy access to the freeway and shopping, and yet appreciated the rural area and enjoyed walking on the estate.

We loved to walk and explore the estate and the little villages nearby. We were also able to take advantage of the east and reasonable train access to Florence from the nearby station San Romano.

Overall it was a great week! The weather was perfect and we were able to absolutely relax! Our side trips were very easy and we were able to get back in time for a swim.

The pool area was very clean and very well kept. Sunset from the pool area was spectacular. Plus all the tree-lined roads leading up to our villa added to the charm. Bedrooms were spacious and bathrooms were well kept, air-conditioning was a nice perk.

There were lots of extra charges: Internet service, pool towels were 9 Euros per person, wine tasting and tour, which we didn't do, at 17 Euros per person. Also, we only had one change of towels during our stay, contrary to the daily change as listed. Also no DVD player as listed. We also had a problem with ants on our patio - but they took care of that after we mentioned it to them.

Very accessible to many areas. We did Pisa and Lucca in one day, also did the Cinque Terre area in a day. Supermarkets and a nice restaurant were all near by. The estate was big enough to go on nice long runs in private, secure area.

We loved it, and would go back any time. It was a little remote, but we would have driven a lot anyway.

The house we stayed in was perfect for our family. Very clean, inviting and very livable. The patios and pool areas were so peaceful.

There was wine tasting at the property from their own cellar, but only if there were 8 people. We had 6 in our party and no one else was staying at their property, so we never were able to taste.

It was beautiful and very private.

It was so much more than any of us had expected!

The view was beautiful. The property was absolutely breathtaking. The bedrooms, bathrooms were so comfortable and nicely done. The property was very upscale and exclusive.

The distance from towns we wanted to visit. Other than Pisa and Lucca, we were more interested in seeing sites south of Florence. It took us up to two hours each way to get to places. Also, I would have preferred to have been right in a town. We needed to drive to get to the nearest town. However, the beauty of the property made up for this.

The beauty of the landscape. It was like nothing I had seen. When you looked out, it was as if you were staring at a painting.

I would go again and will recommend to others. Thanks for a great vacation.

Lots of space for 8 adults. Peace and quiet.

Kitchen was a little difficult to use with dishes in a different room. Washer-dryer was SLOW.

Location was great between Pisa, Firenze and Lucca. We visited all... some twice.

Layout of the property, views and the peace and tranquility. Convenient to the many places that we visited during our stay.

Very little, Could have used some instructions on the items in the house, eg security system, use of the dish TV system.

Location. As stated above it was very convenient to the major highway that served as a start to visit the Tuscany area.

Left on 08/31/2002 for a stay in August 2002

Exceeded our expectations in almost every regard: surroundings, proximity to historical cities, furnishings, size, and external finish were first rate

Secluded location yet featured a pool, great views, open spaces, and only a 5 minute drive to the Autostrada.

Several small things having to do with electrical and electronics issues. For example, Internet access should be made available via reception (OK to charge and make it on a reservations-only basis at certain times of the day). The batteries in the AC remote control units appeared to need changing. A simple one page set of instructions for using the two TV remotes would have been good, and either a VCR or DVD player would have been ideal. The windows in the first bedroom (Mimosa) on the 2nd floor and kitchen door (leading to garden)leaked badly when there was a rainstorm in the night. The floor was totally wet and we had to do some mopping. Around the pool, the wooden deck is splintering and our sons got several slivers in their feet.

Aside from the four dwellings in our immediate area, no other buildings were visible from our villa. The rolling fields gave the impression of deep countryside even though we were just minutes away from primary and secondary roads.

We had the best time in the world at this villa.

We could not have been in a more beautiful spot. The villa had the best of everything. All the furnishings and services were top of the line. The manager, couldn't have been nicer. She made us feel very special. The view was spectacular. The vineyards and poplar trees were spectacular. Everything was spotless. They took great pride in running the vineyard. We were even given special buzzers to open gates. I would recommend this property to everyone who is looking for an experience in Tuscany.
