Wayside Cottage is a lovely stone built cottage at the end of a terrace on the edge of the north Yorks Moors National Park in the village of Wrelton near to Pickering. With one four poster double room and one twin bedroom, this cottage can sleep four people in style. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

Wayside cottage is a well presented and equipped cottage in the quiet village of Wrelton. The owner was very helpful in response to a couple of queries we had and the bottle of wine that was there on our arrival soon helped us relax into the restful surroundings. The cottage is well placed for trips to York, the coast, Castle Howard etc. The local pub does hearty evening meals and offered a warm welcome. The only downside for us was the lack of comfortable seating in the living room - the sofas flattered to deceive.
