2. Rent the Hideaway, an adorable little 1-bedroom cabin, 1-bath, charming decor and a romantic canopied semi-loft bedroom. (Sleeps 4)

3. Rent BOTH Wrightwood cabins! A perfect way to travel with friends and family; easy to spend time together when you want to, and still have a little private space when you'd prefer.

LITTLE PINES, a Wrightwood cabin vacation rental, is a woodsy mountain home featuring a large stone wood-burning fireplace, wraparound deck, light & airy open floor plan with 2 bedrooms sleeping up to 7 guests. Spacious and romantic master bedroom has fluffy queen bed and a reading corner; smaller bedroom has twin-over-full futon bunk bed, small flat screen TV with DVD/VHS player, Gamecube, and large collection of movies and games. Both bedrooms have sliding doors opening to the back deck. Peek-a-boo mountain views from every window in the house. Living room has pull-out sofa bed in front of fireplace. Bathroom with tub and shower, bath oils and salts. Contemporary kitchen with all the typical appliances including gas stove and oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, coffee and espresso makers, plus all dishes, utensils, and everything else you'll need to make a gourmet meal. TONS of board games for fun game nights by the fireside. Wifi internet access. All linens provided. Back deck has outdoor eating area with oversized propane BBQ grill. Rates: $175-$250 per night in winter, $140-$160 per night rest of year, plus $75 cleaning fee. Tax already included.

The HIDEAWAY is an adorable and cozy 1-bedroom, 1-bath cabin located on the backside of the property's detached garage. Includes a miniaturized but fully functional kitchen, living area with sofa bed, and its own private deck with table and chairs and a gas BBQ grill nearby. All linens provided. Bikes, rafts, board games, sauna, and more available in garage. Together they sleep up to 10 or 11. Please email for more details on The Hideaway, which can be rented separately for 1-4 guests. Rates: $125-$175 per night in winter, $80-$120 per night rest of year, plus $50 cleaning fee. Tax already included.

In the winter head out to nearby Mountain High (5 miles) with its world class snowboarding, skiing, tubing, snow play, and more. In summer enjoy great hiking (including a gorgeous hike that starts just a couple short blocks from the cabins!), swimming at Jackson Lake, local festivals and events, or drive to Silverwood Lake for boat & jetski rentals -- or just grill out under our towering pine trees and enjoy a glass of wine on the deck under the bright evening stars. The area is a favorite for mountain bikers, road bikers, and motorcycling, and garage sale enthusiasts shouldn't miss the town-wide Memorial Day and Labor Day yard sales. The village of Wrightwood is a pleasure year-round where you can enjoy down-home cooking, friendly pubs, antiques shops, a coffee house, live music, and a variety of events. Only an hour or so away from the Los Angeles area, it feels like worlds and generations away! A great place to get away from it all and step back in time at the village, yet enjoy modern conveniences in a contemporary cabin.

About us: We are a family of four that love to travel, especially if it involves skiing or snowboarding. We bought our cabin property in Wrightwood to be close to Mt. High, but fell so in love with the town that we moved here full-time, making our cabins available to rent. As professors and writers (authors of Living Abroad in China, among other books), we love the peace and quiet at the cabins, a great location for a writing retreat! We love Wrightwood and we know you will, too. We specialize in making memories for our guests, whether you're coming for skiing and snowboarding at Mountain High or just playing in the snow, Navitat zip lines and canopy tour, hiking, a Wedding, an anniversary or Birthday or special event, one of the many festivals in town, or simply a little rest and relaxation in the fresh mountain air!

Located on the east side of the town of Wrightwood, convenient to the shortcut of reaching the town via the back way along Lone Pine Canyon. The property is in a small neighborhood filled with tall trees and surrounded by mountains (views in all directions). Close to the village of Wrightwood (less than 2 miles). An easy walk to hiking trails and sledding hills!

  Thank you so much for letting us stay at this beautiful cabin! We had such a relaxing vacation here. We really enjoyed playing all of the board games that you provided at the cabin for us! This cabin is in a great location in a peaceful neighborhood. The cabin is very clean, well decorated, cozy, and fun. We had a wonderful stay here and I highly recommend this cabin! We will definitely be staying here again!

  I've been to various mountain resorts and cabins, but this one stands out. here are a few reasons why:
  1. it's actually clean
  2. it's quiet
  3. it's spacious
  4. it's "local" meaning that it does't feel like a resort, but a true cabin that lets you escape from a craziness of normal life to enjoy the mountains
  
  I'll stay there when I'm in Wrightwood again...

  We enjoyed our stay here a lot. There's a beautiful view of the mountains from every room and the setting is extremely quiet. The house was fine and the large decks were pleasant also. It was nice to have a fire in the fireplace after skiing at MH. No problems.
