Mozambique has to be considered as one of the world's best tropical holiday destinations with its miles of untouched, naturally beautiful coastlines. Reef Rentals is situated in the beach town of Praia do Xai Xai in the Gaza Province of Mozambique (220kms north of the capital city of Maputo).

We had a lot of fun, good rest.
I would recommend The Reef Resort to anyone at any time... beautiful place, well kept and clean. Service was exceptional, like they say service with a smile, everyone was very happy with the accommodation.
Just on complained but we did report it to Toni, was the smell that came from one of the houses, apparently some bats has a nest in the roof but other than that, all cool.
One thing I would recommend,: "If they could build like a Play Pan for Kids, Jungle Gym, etc"

We had a wonderful time at Reef Resort,Xai-Xai and since we decided to opt for convenience rather then the reed/thatched experience, we were all (6) pleased about the space and luxury. The staff was really friendly and always prepared to assist without being in the way - never any concerns about leaving expensive goods not tucked away and some even capable of speaking more than 6 languishes. Richard, a local baker, supplies fresh rolls early in the morning (you can take him on his word on an order)and there are various restaurants in the vicinity, but the steep climb (going obviously synonymous with a good view) somehow counters the cumulative effect - albeit only in the mind! We also visited the the Xai-Xai market (marcado) and surrounding beaches, up to Inhambane and not a single adverse encounter with officials was recorded in the whole of Mozambique. Thanks Judy/Tony. The service was outstanding, first class thank you to Judy, Scot, Tony and all their staff most pleasant. The accommodation was fantastic, very clean and modern all you would ever want in a holiday home. The resort is situated in a suberb location and the amenities are excellent. We really liked our unit as it was spacious and the deck with the pool was a bonus, so we did not have to go to the beach everyday.

Absolutely Excellent Service from Reef Resort: from Booking our accommodation and arriving in Xai-Xia, we were welcomed with huge smiles. The houses are extremely spacious, beautifully decorated in coastal themes, the outside patios and plunge pools are an absolute winner = Perfect Self Catering Homes. The quad biking was awesome. The baker man, Richard delivered fresh bread to our house evey morning which was bliss, fresh fish was available to buy from the locals, but we opted to try the Restuarants for fish, and we were not dissapointed - delicious. The location is ideal,the beach is right there, and how awesome are the reef bays, perfect for snorkelling. The locals are friendly and willing to help, and love showing you their artwork, fabrics, shells etc for sale. You can go into town and buy your groceries, they supply almost everything one needs. Reef Resort-Xai-Xai is Paradise: A Place to Go, Unwind and Recharge Ones Soul. Thanks Judy and Scott for an awesome, Well Maintained Resort.

We had a wonderful stay in very luxurious accommodations, loved the fact that there was a maid everyday to do the mundane things like make beds and wash dishes. The home was a pleasure to stay in since its air conditioned and gives you a nice break from the sweltering Mozambique heat. The little shop by reception also stock a variety of necessities for such a small shop and was frequently used.The staff also helped with any other needs we had, be it charcoal or cleaning of seafood.
Loved our entire experience and would def recommend Reef Resort as a great holiday destination.

Breathtaking views, beautiful setup! We wudve liked the Braaistand on d patio... Beaches bit rough... Not as nice as it is further up north. Perfect getaway to just unwind!

The service was excellent, all the staff were so friendly and helpful. The house we stayed in had all we needed, beautifully furnished and very spacious. The swimming beaches were a two minute drive down the road, not a hassle at all ... also a lovely beach right at the resort for lovely long walks. Nice to be there with great weather (I think we were very lucky - not too hot and not too cold, and no rain!) ... the plunge pool was a big plus for the kids (ages 6 & 8) as we're not in the habit of spending the entire day on the beach! The quad bike trip was also a big hit with the kids (which they did a second time). We took a walk around the resort and saw that the views from all the houses were spectacular.

Reef Resort was fantastic on every account.
Booking was easy and Judy was so friendly and helpful. She never once got annoyed with the 101 questions I had for her on I felt like I knew here before we even arrived there.
The service was incredible. Nothing was too much to ask from any of the staff and Tony and Sonia made us feel at home from the minute we arrived.
The actual unit was spacious, clean, well maintained and I loved the decor. It was beautiful. Everything we needed we found in the unit. The kids loved the splash pool and the beach was walking distance away.
If/when I ever head back to Xai Xai, I will not even think twice about where to stay. Reef Resort is my Xai Xai home from now on :-)

Loved staying here during new years' eve, for 3 days. Lovely view! Lots of fireworks! Wonderful private pool. Braai and terrace. Quiteness and peace. Beach nearby and friendly staff.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Astonishing view. Very tastefully furnisheded interior. Dstv with 3 movies and 2 news channels. Premises services everyday. We felt good and happy even when it was raining outside. Hearing the ocean at night, contempleting the waves, eating shrimps and enjoying great wines... we had amazing resting time. I definitely recommend Reef Resort, the best in the area (I have visited all the accommodation proposed in the area, Reef resort was definitely the best!)

Thank you to Judy & Scott for setting up such a beautiful 'home away from home' .Our stay in Casa Praia was very pleasant & memorable. On a daily basis you guys gave us your personal attention. Thank you again. The kids found the quad-biking through the dunes very challenging but they thoroughly enjoyed it. Your boat was great. Your skipper, Lance, made the fishing very exciting & enjoyable. Kids can't get over it. Will most definately see you guys again in June 2010.

We had an excellent time. The house is perfect for a beach vacation: close to beach, large kitchen to cook, large living room with comfortable sofas, large deck with fantastic view of ocean - perfect to relax. Friendly and helpfull staff.
