Beautiful home on the ocean on private lane north of Yachats. 2 bedroom home with 2 baths, each with showers. Each bedroom has a queen bed. Magnificent views of the ocean from bedrooms and living areas. Easy beach access in front of house during the spring/summer months. Winter months beach access is approximately one mile drive. Lovely gas log fireplace to enjoy cozy evenings. Limit 4 people. Winter months steps are not available. Now with WIFI. No dogs please.

We were really disappointed that the stairs to the beach were not in place, no warning, the mattresses are getting old, there needs to be a large fry pan with a flat bottom. The garage door worked fine this time. The driveway needs to be plowed flat, the holes keep getting bigger and deeper

The road is being leveled out now. Sorry about the steps to the beach, we do mention that on the web site that they are not available during the winter months. The owner always brings them up to prevent damage to the very expensive stairs during winter. We will let the owners know about the mattresses and we will put in a new fry pan. it was our second time @ Payn House . . all was as expected. However, the small gravel road is a major mess . . . if you have a truck, it shouldn't be an issue . . but w/a normal car/sedan . . very difficult to get up & down the "street". The view has not changed from our last visit . . . very awesome & we had 2 beautiful sunshiny days . . was awesome!! I think it would be more helpful for TV viewing - to know what channels are what . . . the "guide" left on TV from 2011 doesn't match up very well . . . hard to know what you get & what you don't get.

We loved this home and were sad to leave. We could of easily stayed through the winter and worked on their large collection of puzzles. The view couldn't be beat and the house itself had a lot of personal touches which we enjoyed. We would stay here again.

We stayed at Payn House for a week in mid-July and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We had varied weather throughout our stay--everything from rain, to fog, to a hot sunny day. The house is such that you are comfortable indoors as well as outdoors. One morning we saw a seal and shortly after a whale. We've seen whales before but had to be way out in the ocean in Hawaii. Here, just in front of you, not far offshore. Also interesting to watch the birds and rabbits. One of the best thing about Payn House is their very easy access to the beach/sand. Daily walks exploring the ocean shore were soothing with very little foot traffic from others. So peaceful and quiet. Exactly what we were looking forward to and were not disappointed.

The Payne house was very nice. The view and sound of the ocean were very relaxing. We even got to see a whale from our porch. Directions to the house were incorrect and no street sign was available. Other than that our stay was magnificent.

Sorry, we have been trying to get the state to produce a new sign for Lois Lane for us for about 3 months now. The wheels of government move very slow. Guess we will have to make our own sign but I do remember speaking with you to give you directions and let you know the sign was missing.

The bedding in the Captain's Cabin was all sour, moldy smelling upon arrival. The next day we had to wash the sheets, pillow cases, tumble the pillows in the dryer and air out the blankets. Then it was a wonderful vacation. Thanks for 3 sunny warm days.

Best Friend came for a weekend at the coast and a hotel room didn't feel right. This is the first time I have rented a house and we loved it! Great views AND the ability to spend quality time together! We will definitley be back

The house was great. The view was fantastic. It was stormy a good deal of the time we were there but we stayed by the fire and watched the storms. Some roads were closed but the rental agency called us to let us know so that we came in on a road that was open. I think the instruction book for the appliances may need some updating but our stay was really enjoyable.

I've been renting from Bayshore for many years. The houses are always clean, the staff is always great and the rates are also very resonable. The Payne house has an awesome view and is perfectly set-up for 2 couples.

We have rented through Bay Shore Rentals 4 different times now, 2 different houses and have been very happy with every time. My wife, parents and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. Wonderful views of the ocean, the crashing surf so close, the beach access and the homey feel of the house with all of its furnishings made for an enjoyable five days. We will definitely be back!!

Absolutely fabulous! The weather was gorgeous and the accommodations more than we expected. Loved the deck and toasted the beautiful sunsets each night with a glass of wine! I had family visiting from Australia and they were amazed at this lovely home. We would all come back in a heartbeat and stay here again!

We had a wonderful time! This property would be absolutely wonderful for 2 couples. Some of the furniture was 'antique' looking and there were lots of nicknacks around so we spent half the time worrying that our 5 yr old would break something. The check in/check out process was so easy and it was nice to show up at the property and have it clean and ready to go so all we had to do was bring out stuff in and hit the beach. We would definitely stay again but probably when our child is older.

We are so blessed to have such a wonderful place to vacation. This was our 3rd year at the Payn house. The owners are sooo thoughtful with all they provide for their guests. We begin dreaming of next year, as soon as we drive away. Fond memories are made in that house and on the beach there!

This is the 4th year we have stayed at Pyn house over the New Years weekend. The house has a great view, great location, and is a perfect fit for 2 couples. The kitchen is modern and excellent. Gas fireplace with thermostat is so easy! Big windows, private, and reasonably priced. We'll be back again. Payn house is terrific!!

The Payn' House is the perfect getaway. My husband and I love the sight and roar of the ocean from the living room and bedroom. You literally fall asleep and wake up watching the breakers while still lying in bed. The house has a warmth and charm with it's fireplace and comfortable furnishings.

It was a great stay. The only complaint we had was that the deck furniture was turned upside down and full of rain water and mossy stuff growing in it. When we stayed last year we loved having our meals on the deck, but were unable to this year.

There was a mildy smell we reported to Bayshore, in the laundry room. Other than that, the place is wonderful - EVERYTHING you need for comfort is THERE. We would like to not recommentd this property to a friend - we want it all to ourselves - we love it there! ! ! It was wonderful that the Payn's came to install the stairs to the beach - in the rain - on our first day there.

Screen doors need maintenance, locks, latches don't all latch. Carpets not as clean this time, along with the upholstry. More dogs mean more cleaning.
Key locks want to keep the key.
Best view ever. Whales feeding just off shore. At least 2 rabbits still live in the bush in front of the house.
Big waves, no seals this time, no sharks.
The house stood up to the high winds again. Tossed the deck furniture around, but everything held up. Bedroom screens really rattled, making alot of noise all night.
The deck furniture needs to be improved, along with access to the barbeque, for good days. THe big comfortable reclines have a tendancy to get stuck in the reclined position.
Overall, we would go back the first chance we got
