Lawerence, Kansas, United StatesYachats House - Great Place to Stay
Left on 06/01/2013 for a stay in May 2013
The house is ideally located for Ocean Views of the tides (low and high). Can hear the waves pounding on the rocks and see them spray during high tide. The house is nicely set-up with living room/kitchen/dining area with great views of the ocean. The additional family room with TV located at the other end of the house is a big plus. Both bedrooms were nicely furnished and mattresses were comfortable. The house is nicely decorated with many homemade quilts and nice artwork. We could not have been happier. Thanks for sharing this wonderful location and experience.

I was thrilled with the house and loved the view. Loved the rocks out front and the crashing waves. I certainly would love to stay here again sometime. Thanks so much to the owners for sharing such an awesome place.

Stayed 3 Nights in Feb 2013
I use a Electric Wheelchair, so an accessible home was very important, With a roll in shower and being on one level, this property filled the bill. The place was spacious and modern Do take some type of padding as we found the bed rather uncomfortable, and the bathroom needs a grab bar to get off the toilet.
The beachfront views on 3 sides and looking for whales as we ate breakfast. We loved it! -

I called Bayshore Rentals at the last minute on Saturday due to a previous reservation being double-booked. Within 10 minutes, I was all set to go stay at the Yachats house - excellent customer service and beautiful home for a very good price! I will be visiting this home again :-)

Left on 01/15/2013 for a stay in December 2012
This house provides outstanding wide views of the ocean. We stayed here late December 2012, and the stormy surf put on a spectacular show. The house is conveniently located to the center of Yachats for walking or driving.

Both the hosue itself and it's location (and view) far succeeded expectations. Only suggestions = use a key box rather than requiring guests from the south to go past the house and on to Waldport and then back plus have a digital TV to access digital channels (Pac-12 Network).

My friends and I spend a long weekend relaxing and enjoying each other's company. We loved the layout of the kitchen and living room with beautiful views of the ocean! Kitchen was super...beautiful dishes, anything you might want in tools and even some staples to use if you forgot. Lovely feel to the house!

We liked this place so much, we have already reserved for next year. The house is at a great location, its clean and easily accessible. (easy to find and no stairs - it's all on the ground floor!) Our only 'concern' is that this place won't stay a 'best kept secret' for long!

Left on 09/19/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We thoroughly enjoyed this clean and comfy property. The ocean and sunset views are gorgeous, and we watched a lone humpback for several hours one afternoon and evening. Well-equipped kitchen, which we took advantage of to prepare breakfasts and dinners. Crashing surf on rocky beaches close by was dramatic and soothing. Definitely recommend going to Cape Perpetua Ntl. Scenic area a couple of miles south and doing as many of the hikes as you can. Two days' worth if you take your time. Drive up to the overlook for picnic lunch (hike if you are really fit). Bring binoculars. Stopped at a farmers' produce market en route from Portland and really glad we did as the organic options in Newport are ?non-existent?

A great location with dramatic ocean views and great sunsets. House is very comfortable and well equipped. Don't miss the various hikes at Cape Perpetua Ntl Scenic area. Two days worth if you take your time and have a picnic. We were glad we had hit a farm stand for produce on the way down from Portland as there is limited organic produce in Newport.

Seattle, WashingtonI Considered Not Reviewing This Home..
Left on 07/31/2012 for a stay in April 2012
I have been hesitant to review this home because it was amazing! And selfishly, if everyone knew how great it was, it may be hard to rent next time we want to stay here. But i rely on other's reviews for my choices, so here you go.
We chose this home on the Oregon coast specifically for it's location between Newport and Florence. It is pretty much equal distance to each city you can research what you want to do there, but my recommendations are Sandland adventures for Florence, and the Newport aquarium for Newport.
The pictures of this home do not do it justice! The pictures you see online make it look very small and awkward. I was so delighted when we saw it in person. It is directly across the street from the ocean. Three large windows give you fantastic views all day long. The house has everything you would need to live comfortably. The shore is rocky here so you can enjoy the crash of the waves, but if you want to take the kids to a sandy beach you can walk down the road and play where the river enters into the ocean.
Our favorite things about the house were the view, location, the parking area outside the house made a great spot for our kids to ride their bikes, and strangely: a tide clock hanging near the kitchen kept us in the know for what was happening with the ocean. Outside the home we were able to pick up a local hotel's wi-fi signal for those who need that.
I think our only complaint was the beds were quite uncomfortable. Certainly not enough to deter me from staying there again, but I will bring something with me next time to sleep more comfortably.
Cape Perpetua is just a couple miles away with some great hiking trails, a nice visitors center and spouting horn. We visited this park a couple times throughout our week because there was so much to see there.
I really can't say enough about how much we enjoyed staying at this home. -

I use a scooter, so an accessible home was very important, With a roll in shower and being on one level, this property filled the bill. The photos of it make it look crowded with furniture, but in reality the place was spacious and modern Do take some type of padding as we found the bed rather uncomfortable, and the bathroom needs a grab rail to get off the toilet.
But any niggley things are overshadowed by the beachfront views on 3 sides and seeing whales as we ate breakfast. We loved it!Response from Bayshore Rentals LLC - 07/04/2012

Portland, Oregon, United StatesFantastic view, front and center for great storms!
Left on 04/01/2012 for a stay in March 2012
This was our first time using Bayshore Rentals and staying at the Yachats House. Bayshore Rentals was great to do business with and their communication was excellent. The Yachats House was perfect for us. They layout of the home was great for playing games, making meals, and enjoying the view. The family room at the other end of the home allowed our teenagers a quite place to watch a few movies (great movie selection too!) and rest. The most impressive aspect to the home is the view, you look out three different sets of windows to the ocean just a few seconds away. We were there when a large storm came in and the ocean was spectacular to watch.
We were pleasantly surprised with how well stocked the home was, all the seasonings, spices, pots, pans, etc that you could possibly need were there.
We've stayed at other homes in Yachats from other property management companies and we have found our favorite with Bayshore Rentals and the Yachats House. -

Oh, so sorry the BBQ was not there. There was one in the garage but then it was converted to a family room and it was overlooked. Wish you would have called, we would have brought one down.

Santa Barbara, CAGreat Views, very comfortable home
Left on 07/20/2010 for a stay in July 2010
This home is a great property for up to two couples. The views from the living/dining room are fantastic. The deck also has the same great views and it was protected from the north wind during my stay. The deck is only large enough for 5 - 6 people to sit assuming that they sit in a straight line with a view to the ocean. I was looking for a high quality home with great views right on the ocean and this home defintely fits the bill. I would definitely come back. Try Heidi's for great Italian food in Yachats.
