My family and I have been staying at Don and Linda's places for more than 10 years (I think!) We've usually stayed at the Sand Dollar and Sand Castle, and this was the first time I've stayed at the Seahorse. It's dog friendly, great access to the beach, and not far from were we like to agate hunt at Seal Rock. Plus, it's close to a couple of great restaurants in Yachats. The beds have always been comfortable in all three houses. This one has tiled floors, which makes it easier to clean up after dog-sand! The other two have beach views and lovely light in the afternoon. However, the Seahorse is roomy and basic and quite perfect for our needs (since we're usually out on the beach in the afternoon anyway). All their places are meticulously clean and feature all the dishes, pots, pans, etc. you may need.

This gem of a place was the perfect spot for our group of old friends to relax and connect. Just a little outside of the hamlet of Yachats and hidden away from the coast highway, we climbed the stairs to an amazingly well-appointed beach getaway. With a large common space and a kitchen with almost everything you need to feed a group, the seven of us watched the boats, walked the beach, read books, played cards, and cooked some of the last tuna of the season fresh off the docks a bit to the north of us. It would have been easy to spend a week there, but we had only three nights. Made restful by the fact that there are four nicely-sized bedrooms and three bathrooms. We'll go back there for our next coast getaway.

We have stayed at the Sand Castle for a week each summer for many years now. We keep returning because we love the home. It's everything we could want--incredible views, steps to miles of beach, absolutely lovely inside, fully and comfortably furnished and outfitted, well maintained, close to town, a big fully-equipped kitchen, fireplace, jacuzzi--the Sand Castle has it all. The owners are conscientious, thoughtful, and responsive--very professional. We look forward to our beach stay at the Sand Castle all year long.
