This was our first trip to Yelapa, and Casa Tassia had been recommended to us. It was the perfect place for us. The unit was clean; the location ideal; and our hosts very gracious and helpful.

The unit is well equipped with a simple kitchen and satellite TV (although who would waste their time in Yelapa watching TV?). But the real benefit of this place is its location. It is a short 5 minute walk to both the Pueblo and the Playa. There are a half dozen restaurants within a few minutes, and the view is spectacular. Because of its situation facing north-east, the unit gets morning sun and remains very comfortable through the afternoon and night.

We had heard some visitors to Yelapa complain about noise through the night: music and/or roosters, but at Casa Tassia, the only thing keeping us awake was the sound of the waves lapping up against the rocks below.

Yelapa is a charming little village and your hosts, Randy and Judy, can share lots of suggestions for things to do from adventure excursions, to short walks and hikes, to beach lounging. But this isn't 5-star all-inclusive resorting. If you want that, go to Puerto Vallarta or Cancun. This is Mexico, and it's about as close to paradise as you can find.

      Fantastic

This was our first stay on Yelapa and we came across Mar Y Sol Villas on the internet. Wow what a spectacular place, right on the ocean a short walk to the beach and very private. Exploring Yelapa on our own without a gude was awesome, we found some great restaurants and met some wonderful people including Yelapa Charlie!

      Laid Back in Yelapa

Left on 09/14/2011 for a stay in May 2011

We booked a vacation to Yelapa on the spur of the moment after reading about Randy and Judy Sonstelie in Our Canada magazine. We followed alot of the suggestions they had made in the "getting here" section of there website, from having Hugo pick us up at the airport and take us to the dock at Los Muertos, booking a couple of trips with Yelapa adventures and dining suggestions. Everything went smoothly and we had a great vacation. the village, the food and the accomodations were all to our likng. Randy and Judy even did some banking for us (thank you again). The pictures do not lie. We will definitely be returning.

      Wonderful Property and Location

Left on 06/13/2011 for a stay in April 2011

Spent a week in Yelapa in early april and can't wait to go back. Stayed at Casa Tassia overlooking the Yelapa Bay. The property is perfect for two people with good living, kitchen and bedroom space. It has all the comforts of home with close access to great restaurants, the beach and stores for any required supplies. The host and hostess, Randy and Judy, are there if you need any information or assistance. I'd highly recommend this property and others that they oversee to anyone wanting a relaxing and pleasent stay in "Old Mexico".

      Mar Y Sol

Left on 12/06/2010 for a stay in November 2010

This made my second trip to Yelapa, Mexico and when I stepped on the town pier I felt like I had come home. I love this place!
We stayed at Mar y Sol for 13 wonderful days. Randy and Judy Sonstelie welcome you with open arms and immediately makes you feel at home. They very courteously arrange any excursion one might want to do. The casa is clean, spacious, and sits right on the water. Each night you fall asleep to the sound of waves crashing against the rocks and wake to the sounds of birds and the waves. My only regret is that I could not stay longer. Can hardly wait for my next stay.

      It was spectacular!

Left on 04/23/2010 for a stay in April 2010

I thought my stay in Yelapa was amazing! It truly was like going back to the old Mexico. The air is so fresh and clean from there being NO cars. That must have been one of my most favorite things.
The service was fantastic. Randy and Judy were more then accommodating, if there was something that I needed I was able to get it. They were also very knowledgeable about the area so finding things wasn't difficult at all. The location was great, too. Ocean front view with the beach and shopping just a 5 min walk.
The Villa itself was gorgeous, and clean. I loved the bright Mexican colors. Also, I can't complain about the huge king-sized bed. It made ending a day at the beach very enjoyable!

      Best view in Yelapa

Left on 04/10/2010 for a stay in March 2010

These accomodations are great. Good beds, rustic, but well-equipped kitchen. Good access to everything in Yelapa. Gigantic deck overlooking Yelapa bay, furnished with deck chairs, tables, hammock, day bed and well stocked library. We will be back!

Everything you need to drop out of civilization for a couple of days. Great restaurants in Yelapa!

      We had an awesome week!!!

Left on 02/12/2010 for a stay in January 2010

Our accommodations were everything we were led to believe they would be. Randy & Judy as caretakers were wonderful, helpful, knowledgeable and fun to be around. The restaurants offered a wide variety of tasty delightful food and the fact that we could buy our own groceries and cook at "home" was a bonus for us. The whole week were in Yelapa was a treat - no semis, no cars, no planes and best ofr all no snow. We are definately thinking of next winter.
