f you are looking for a Galilee location that is in the center of all the major attractions, "At Our Yard" is the perfect place. My wife and I stayed at Ron's place for 9 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Ron is friendly, helpful and an all around excellent host. Yesud HaMa'ala is a very beautiful, family friendly, peaceful community in the middle of the Hula Valley. After daytime tours around Galilee and the Golan, we enjoyed walks around this picturesque town. The accommodations were both spacious, well equipped and very clean. We would highly recommend Ron's at Our Yard.

I wanted a base from which I could explore the Upper Galilee conveniently, and this was it.
Ron was very helpful with suggestions when I explained what I was interested in doing and seeing. He saved me time with his extensive knowledge of the area. I spent 5 good days at Ron's. The apartment can accommodate 4 to 6 people, so I had lots of room. The kitchen was good, and easy to use.
It is located in a beautiful, green farming area north of the Sea of Galilee. It is conveniently located a short drive off the main highway of this area. It was beautiful, peaceful, and left me with many warm, vivid memories. Ancient and recent history just a short drive away.Response from RON AGMON - 05/19/2013
Owner
Dear Richard,
We were glad to host you and we are happy that you enjoyed your time at our place. Regarding your note, as a preparation for the new summer we bought a collection of DVDs with English language movies and connected to a satellite TV service that includes English language news, movies and sport channels. It was our real pleasure to meet you and we would be glad to see you again at your next trip to the Galilee.
Best Regards,
Ron & Family. -

We had a great stay in Ron's apartment. It's actually half of a one-storey house. We had two double beds and a short sofa-bed (just right for my daughter) in the living room. Not much on TV (we were trying to watch Obama), but a DVD player and Seinfeld episodes! Ron was a gracious host, and always ready to give advice and make us welcome. The flat had everything we needed and everything worked. It is a lovely, peaceful little village not too far from Lake Galilee

Excellent location for those who are there to explore the Valley - just 3 minutes drive from the Hula Reserve. Very clean. Comfortable. 99% of all you need is there (and the 1% is probably left out intentionally so that you could feel good about complaining of something). The host is helpful and tries to foresee your needs.
Given that this is probably the most affordable place for a family of up to 6 to rent, I have a feeling it will not be available at short notice. Plan in advance. -

After 2 weeks of travel and staying in 7 places, I think our days at Ron's place were our best in Israel. The apartment is nice, spacious and newly furnished, but Ron himself makes it a great deal. Ron introduced the apartment well, so we knew how to use everything and felt at home, and he went above and beyond in introducing us to the area, giving us history on the region and recommendations of what to do with our time based on what we told him about our interests. All in all, a great place with a wonderful host in a cute town in a beautiful region! Great value!

First of all, it was a pleasure to meet Ron, a pleasant host that is always available to assist in any way, including with suggestions in the area to visit. The apartment is ample, comfortable, very clean, and fully equipped. It is the perfect place to stay when you want to see the area of the Golan Heights, Safed, Rosh Pina and amongst many other. To sum up we really enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I and two of our adult children stayed here for two nights this last November. The apartment was roomy and clean and in a wonderful historic neighborhood with charming houses and gardens that we enjoyed walking through. We especially enjoyed walking to the nearby Kibbutz spice and tea shop (apparently internationally famous) and buying an incredibly delicious loaf of bread at the Kibbutz bakery. It was an easy drive to see Bannas, Nimrod's Castle and other sites in that North end of Israel. Also, an quick drive to Safed and Rosh Pina. Ron was a great host. He greeted us warmly, showed us the details of the apartment and gave us good directions on getting around. Also, thank you Ron, for letting us pick some of the wonderful citrus fruit from your backyard orchard!

This duplex is quite convenient to all the sights in the Gallilee. It is just off highway 90 which runs down the middle of Israel from the north to the south. This rental is excellent for the price and is clean and comfortable. The owner Ron, lives next door and is available for guidance to the local sights. There is a bird sancturary called the Hula 5 minutes away where birds can be observed migrating between Europe and africa. We booked several hotels for the month we were in Israel and this was the best choice we made. If you want to visit the Galillee, this is the place.

We stayed at Ron's apartment for 3 nights and really liked it. The house is located in a quiet area and has everything that is needed for the pleasant stay. We were able to relax in a nice green environment and enjoyed walking around the Yesod. Ron is a great host and always ready to help. This apartment is highly recommended.

We really enjoyed staying at this property in the middle of the Galilee region. It was in a nice village with a nearby Kibutz that had a great herb and spice shop (thoroughly recommended). Ron was a wonderful host and can give very good local knowledge recommendations. The apartment was clean and tidy and very adequate for our family of 2 adults, 2 teenagers and our little girl.

We really enjoyed staying at Ron's place. The apartment is comfortable and clean. The shower was large and comfortable and the bedrooms spacious. Yesod ama'ala is also a very quite place and a great exit point to just about anywhere in Northern Israel.
It would be a place we would stay in again. -

We really enjoyed our stay at "At Our Yard". The apartment was a little bit hard to find at first, but we soon realized, although tucked away in a small village, it was the perfect location for a home base. We traveled all throughout the Golan and Galilee each day. The unit itself was very comfortable and well stocked, even the kitchen! There was also a washing machine which was an extra bonus. Ron was very kind and helpful with our travels as well. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to travel in the north of Israel. I would stay there again in a heart beat!

The house was just fine. It had a great big room for the kids to sleep in, but only one bed there. But we were able to put another bed in there for our older child and the baby cot fit in just nicely. The other room was small with a small bed for my husband and I, but we made it work. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishware and there were plenty of blankets. Everything was small, but we didn't spend too much time there. The grocery store is very small, but there are larger stores about 10 minutes away. The owner if very friendly and willing to help and his mother invited us all over for ice cream. A very nice family.

We had a wonderful stay at Ron’s place in the middle of the Galilee region. We used it as a base to explore this beautiful region and to relax a little at the end of our 3 week trip. The place is great. The apartment includes living room, kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms. All very comfortable and clean. You can also relax sitting on the porch in the garden. The neighborhood is very quiet and friendly, there is a shop where you can do your groceries in the nearby village. We feel it was a nice way to just be and live with Israeli people, far far away from any touristic element. Ron himself is very friendly, knows a lot about the region and the country and is good host. We recommend Ron’s place for everyone considering visiting the Galilee (couples, families, groups,…)!

We had a great stay. We were there in winter and there was an air conditioner/ heater that warmed the place beautifully, there were thick eiderdowns on the beds, and everything was very comfortable. Our host was Ron and he was very interesting to chat to and discuss the area and places to see. The house was just 50m away from a kids play park, so our kids enjoyed that too.
The town of Yesod Hamaala is a wonderful farming village surrounded by orchards and with many fruit trees and quaint old houses. It is very central and good to have as a base to tour Golan, the Kinnaret, Nazareth and even acre. -

Left on 09/18/2011 for a stay in August 2011
We stayed for eight nights in Yesod HaMa'ala at Ron's place, and by the week's end we did not want to leave! So peaceful and refreshing to be out in the country.
Nearby agamon Hula is still on our to-do list, but if you are going to stay here you will want to visit there if you have any interest at all in wildlife, especially birds.
The nearby kibbutz store had everything we needed to prepare simple meals, and Ron's kitchen was adequate for that task. So we didn't have to run around looking for a restaurant if we wanted just to relax after a day of touring the countryside.
Even driving down to Masada and Qumran wasn't a huge task as it's a straight shot down along the Kinneret and the Dead Sea.
Would recommend this spot for anyone wanting to visit Israel but not have to be staying in a city, but who still want some conveniences of town life. -

Left on 07/04/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Our June 2011 trip was focused on seeing all of Israel, and Ron's home was a perfect spot for visiting sites in northern Israel. The accommodations are spacious and include everything a traveler would need. There are no shops or restaurants in walking distance, but if you got here you probably got here by car anyway.
Day trips to the Golan Heights, Galilee and even the Haifa area are quite possible from this location. We spent three days visiting sites in the Golan Heights and one day driving along the Lebanon border to the Mediterranean Sea. Quality restaurants are about 10 to 15 minutes away in Rosh Pina.
The apartment is spacious and the furniture and appliances are in good condition. The furniture is not luxurious, but it is comfortable. The neighborhood is residential and attractive. Ron is an accommodating host and eager to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. We have no hesitation to recommend this property to people looking for a quiet location in northern Israel. -

We stayed at Ron's apartment twice this September. Ron was very kind and gave us many tips about attractions in the area such as: fish and chips dinner and pool party at one of the Kibbutzs in the area.
The apartment was very clean and included everything we needed (refrigerator, microwave, television, air condition in the living room..) We were 4 adults (family) and stayed there for two nights.
The price was very reasonable.
We will definitely stay there again.
