This Scandinavian log cabin offers a high specification with a double and a twin bedroom, both en-suite (bathroom and shower-room). There is also a double sofa/bed in the lounge, allowing 6 people to stay in the cabin comfortably.
The open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge have been designed for comfort and relaxation. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave and fridge, along with the usual amenities. The lounge area has a wall mounted flat screen TV with Freeview, a DVD Player, Playstation 2, and free WiFi . The dining room has Pine dining furniture (6 places), and opens out onto the covered, decked veranda.

Orchard Lodge, is set in an ideal location for exploring york to its fullest. A two bedroomed log cabin, with everything you could possibly wish for to make your stay a home away from home and incredibly child friendly. Situated only four miles from York, this is a real bit of country in the town. Highly recommended.

Orchard Lodge is a true gem. We had luxurious and spacious accommodation in the Yorkshire countryside with all the modern conveniences (lots of parking, fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, wireless internet facilities, video games for rainy days) and a short drive to all the local area attractions, including York city center. After busy days sightseeing, we were able to quickly return to this peaceful oasis and the kind hospitality of Bridget. The only neighbors in sight were bunnies, birds & squirrels. My only regret is that we could not stay longer but plan to return as soon as the opportunity presents itself. I cannot see anyone being disappointed if they choose Orchard Lodge as a base for their next holiday.

We really enjoyed our stay at Orchard Lodge. It's a lovely log cabin which is well maintained and very clean. Beds and furniture are comfy, including the additional sofa bed. The kitchen cupboards hold everything you need for your stay, with some nice additional touches: the welcome pack is really useful. The surroundings are peaceful and private. There's everything you need in the local area ( a short drive to the supermarket) and it's also a really handy location to start from for days out. The Karns are welcoming and helpful. We would stay again if heading to that area and would also recommend it to others.

Really lovely cabin - clean, well equipped and comfortable - set in its own garden. Enjoyed watching the chickens and cows - our only visible neighbours. Plenty to do with York nearby and beautiful countryside to explore. A thoroughly enjoyable stay - would recommend Orchard Lodge and hope to return before too long.

Our first stay at Orchard Lodge and will definitely be back again. Beautiful surroundings and a perfect base for exploring York. The cabin has everything you could need and is spotlessly clean (thanks to Bridget for the window cleaning tip!). Loved the PS2 and books for the kids. A real home from home, thank you so much.
