Description from the owner
Looking for a centrally located apartment? Then look no further - it can't be more central than this! Fantastic location of the apartment Gold is something that is hard to find. Except maybe hotel Dubrovnik next door where you would pay double price for a small room. Here you have the luxury of your own spacious lounge room with study corner, bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and fully equipped kitchen with nice dining area where you can enjoy home-cooked meals from ingredients bought at the Dolac, biggest open-air market in Zagreb which is just steps away. Additional Location Information
When it comes to location, this is something unique! The apartment Gold is the most centrally located apartment in our offer and probably the most centrally located short term apartment in the city. It is situated on Bogoviceva street, in the passage next to the Central Square, by the business high-riser, one of the landmarks of the city. Although situated in the very centre of the city, the apartment itself is very peaceful and quiet, spacious and very bright. Once you take a lift down, you are on Bogoviceva street, swarming with cafes, pubs and bookstores, leading to the popular “Flower squareâ€. Bogoviceva is also known as the street of the jet-set, where everyone who’s important in the city strolls on the weekends in order to be seen. Zagreb’s food mecca Dolac is just across the Main Square – this farmer’s market offers fresh produce, fruit and veggies, meat, fish, cheese, nuts and herbs on two levels. Ban Jelacic Square, which is just around the corner, is a true centre of the city. This Austro-Hungarian styled square is a central hub for Zagreb’s tram system and an excellent starting point for every visitor. Stretching north from the Central Square is a popular Tkalciceva street swarming with cafes in almost every house. The people of Zagreb always find time to enjoy their coffee so the street is always crowded, making it one of the centres of modern urban life.

Ellicott City, MarylandRight in the middle!!
Left on 11/01/2011 for a stay in October 2011
This was a very pleasant find for us. We used to live in Zagreb and we found ourselves right back in the middle of our favorite cities. This apartment is a couple of minutes walk to the main square and within an easy walk of some great restaurants in all the price brackets.
The apartment is typical size for old European flats. The flat was on the top floor and has an elevator (old but it works). The shower is in the bedroom and the bath (w/c) is off the living room. The flat has small kitchen but has the standard appliances along with a freezer, and dishwasher. The main sitting area is comfortable with wireless internet and satellite TV included.
This is the perfect little flat in the middle of Zagreb for one person or a couple as long as one is not expecting/needing U.S. size rooms.
The management company is very very easy to work with. They meet us at a convenient location and took us to the apartment. They can arrange transportation to/from the airport and train station.
We see no reason to stay in a hotel in Zagreb again.Response from InZagreb - 11/15/2011

This is a very clean and comfortable, quiet apartment in the heart of Zagreb. All of Zagreb's cultural life and sights are a few steps away from this apartment. It is a quiet place as well. The kitchen and washing machine make it perfect for a longer stay as well, or as a nice stopover on a longer journey through the region. The rental company is excellent to work with.

Lake Macquarie, AustraliaCosy, modern, right in the heart of old Zagreb

Our introduction to Zagreb was being welcomed at the train station by our host Ksandro, despite it being 8pm on Saturday night (and the train from Budapest being 40 minutes late). Ksandro drove us to our apartment Gold, on the top floor of a block of apartments literally one minute walk to the main town square, to the main tram routes and to a well-stocked supermarket. There he gave us a quick overview of Zagreb and its services and provided us with lots of written material, including a five-day weather forecast. The apartment is modern, roomy and light, with several large windows (all with blinds and curtains), however it is very private. The lounge room is spacious, with a full-size comfy lounge, a reclining chair and a small computer desk and seat. The bedroom is a good size, with a large, comfortable bed. The bathroom is off the bedroom and it is small – just big enough to house the shower and a basin, however the fittings are modern and you will have a good shower. The eating area is also a good size, and the kitchen is quite compact, but well equipped – under-bench refrigerator and separate freezer, two-burner gas cook-top, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, and plenty of cooking utensils. The apartment also has a fold-out clothes-drying rack, ironing board and iron, and a hairdryer. There is a separate toilet off the eating area with its own hand-basin. In all, this is a very comfortable, attractive apartment, perfectly situated and ideal for two people for a short stay. We thoroughly recommend it.

We were met at the bus by our host and taken to the apartment. He gave lots of advice and suggestions about Zagreb which were very welcome. The apartment is located right in the heart of Zagreb but very quiet as it is a walking area -no cars. WiFi was useful. We would definitely recommend this apartment. Thanks for being great hosts.
