South Lake Tahoe, Nevada, is an area made famous by its beautiful lake and heavenly skiing. Spend your days boating, fishing or swimming in the summer or on the slopes skiing or snowboarding in the winter. All of this and more is available during a stay at WorldMark South Shore. WorldMark South Shore is poised to take full advantage of Lake Tahoe’s charms. Skiing, water skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, jeep adventures and cruises are all part of the fun. The resort is just a 10-minute walk from Nevada Beach State Park and a six-minute drive from the Gondola at Heavenly or the casinos in Stateline.

This beautiful WorldMark condo is a... 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit and comes with a fully equipped kitchen, a small balcony or deck, a gas fire place, and all the amenities of home. Many of the units at this resort must be accessed by a flight of stairs, but some units are ground level or have elevators available. WorldMark’s hi-speed internet service is available in all units for a small fee.

The resort offers an outdoor pool, an outdoor kiddie pool and two outdoor spas. The outdoor pools are closed for the winter November 1st to April 1st, but the spas stay open year round. There is also a game room, an exercise room, and a shared computer in the clubhouse.

WorldMark South Shore is located 6,400 feet above sea level, which may require some adjustment for those used to living at lower altitudes. The higher altitudes also means that during the late fall, winter and early spring, Nevada law requires all vehicles carry snow chains. There are very few days of warm weather and therefore air conditioning is not available. If you have never seen the lake, you'll be amazed at its crystal clear deep blue waters.

Emerald Bay State Park
Designated an underwater state park, Emerald Bay is the resting place for boats, launches and barges used in the lake before the turn-of-the-20th-century. The park also is home to Vikingsholm, a Scandinavian-style castle, which once was the home of heiress Lora Josephine Knight. 22 mi. south of Tahoe City.

Tallac Historic Site
The 74-acre Tallac Historic site captures how life was in turn-of-the-20th-century South Lake Tahoe. The site features the remains of the Tallac Resort and three large summer estates built by wealthy San Franciscans. 3 mi. north of South Lake Tahoe.

Nevada State Railroad Museum
Located in historical Carson City, the museum houses a collection of 65 locomotives and cars, including 40 built before 1900. Open: 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. daily. 27 mi.

The unit is not cleaned during the stay. It is pristeen when you arrive and is cleaned when you leave. Fees for cleaning and taxes are included in the rental price. No more than 8 guests may stay in the unit. A $300 security deposit is collected in advance with your rental payment and will be returned to you no later than 1 month after your stay, less any charges for loss or damage by the resort.
