Everything was seamless and wonderful. This is a very spacious house complete with a roof top deck, pool table, and poker table.
It is in the Zepher Heights neighborhood so only Yellow Taxi can pick you up and take you to the Casinos. I called about three different cab company's before calling the concierge from Buckingham to get a driver. We used Mike at Yellow Taxi for the duration of our stay. I also really enjoyed the spa visit to Body Essentials. My only complaint was that the hot tub did not get very hot and we couldn't get the hose to connect so we could add more water, so were unable to use it on our last day. The furniture decor is also very old and outdated, but for a relaxing get away, this was all around great!
Great location and view but expensive - 5 miles from downtown So

This house has lovely views of Lake Tahoe, although I wish the hottub was on the top deck! It still has a good view where it is located though. The living room also has a phenomenal view. Furniture on the upper deck needs to have the padding replaced. It is worn, torn and grungy.
House is well stocked with cookware, silverware, etc. It also has a washer and dryer (some detergent was there already).
Great location on near top of Zephyr Cove hill, which is a solid 3/4 mile jog uphill if you need a workout while you are there. Only 4 miles to the casinoes at the state line in South Lake Tahoe.
Check in/check out was painless with the key in a lockbox on site.
Instructions around the house/hottub need to be updated. And we had to fill the hottub up another foot or so when we arrived and wait for it to heat up to use. After that, it worked like a charm.
House has one extremely nice and large bedroom with access to the hottub. The rest of the bedrooms are much smaller, less extravagant.
The original cost for the per night rate on the website leads one to believe renting the house is reasonable. However, at the end of the transaction, there are numerous fees for hottub, cleaning, etc. added which tacks on hundreds of additional dollars. Due to these extraneous fees, I feel the value for your money goes from what seems reaonable when first viewing the property to poor. The total price per night should be shown up front in my opinion.

We loved Lookout Lodge at Zephyr Heights. However, for "luxury properties", I hope that some of the tattered and worn furniture would be updated soon. Upstairs on rooftop patio, almost all chair cushions were torn and worn. No lounge chairs either for such a large space. Indoors, kitchen and bar chairs were rickety and unstable. Bedding needs to be updated also in some rooms. Buckingham was timely in response to needs and always professional. Recommend for large group but would not call it "luxury" without some improvements.
