Spacious 3½ room apartment with 110 sqm of living space, two double bedrooms for four persons (2 additional beds in the living room upon request). The apartment has a wonderful view of the Matterhorn. The apartment has modern furnishings and two bathrooms, one with shower/toilet and one with bathtub/toilet. When you arrive in Zermatt, you can reach us on foot in ten minutes. Much more comfortable and advisable is to make use of an electric taxi, which will bring you right to the door in three to four minutes. The Casa Della Luce is situated in a central, quiet residential area in the Quartier Wiesti.
The ski bus stop is only 250 meters from the house, and the valley station of the Sunnegga Paradiese ski area is only approx. 500 meters away. You have a choice of various restaurants and sporting goods stores in the immediate vicinity, as well as a grocery store and an indoor swimming pool. You can get to the Bahnhofstraße, Zermatt's main shopping street, with all its shops, restaurants and bars, in ten minutes on foot. Moreover, Zermatt offers 24-hour taxi service (Taxi Bolero +41 27 967 60 60).

Great apartment, perfect location, wonderful holiday!

We stayed in the second floor, one bedroom apartment (not the 3 1/2). It was well equipped, very clean, nicely designed and had a fabulous view of the Matterhorn from the balcony. The apartment had everything you could ask for and more. The bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in and for once I wasn't looking forward to getting home to my own bed! We ate at the apartment most days after shopping at the local supermarket. The small kitchen had been well thought out and the apartment became a home from home for a few days - we didn't want to leave! A real bonus was the spa/wellness facility in the basement. The spa baths and sauna were just what the body needed after a day of skiing. The location was perfect too - a five minute walk from the centre of town, train station or the Sunegga funicular railway. Not cheap but good value for money, would definitely stay again :-)

Verbrachten hier vier Tage und wären mit dem schönen, sehr gut ausgestatten apartment sehr zufrieden, wenn nicht ab 15 Uhr die Whirlpools "geöffnet" wären. So ist es nur zu empfehlen für Gäste, die in bewußter Zeit (15 bs 21 Uhr) außer Haus sind.

I was very impressed with the facilities, our room was effectively a fully functioning studio flat. It can be exhausting (financially as well as physically!) going out every night, so having the ability to kick back, cook some dinner and relax is a great thing. I'd definitely recommend to friends.

Excellent location in town, near bus line and restaurants. Comfortable beds, well equiped kitchen. Nice Shower and w/c.
My only complaint was slow internet. My son was using his Mac and had no complaints but my Windows 7 was so slow I used my phone hot-spot. -

Without knowing anything about Zermatt and this accommodation when booking, we had no expectations, except we hoped that it would be good. And it really was! Very nice and tidy apartment, however quite small, but since we were only two we managed. =). There are different sized apartments, and we had one of the smaller ones (the green one).
The whole building gave a nice impression when entering the front door, design and artwork on the walls. Big ski storage room at the entrance, great since we had our gear with us. A few steps up the staircase...and there it was.
A very green color met us when entering ;-)
The room was clean, modern, furnished with a mix of styles, well equipped kitchen, nice soundsystem, flatscreen, free WiFi, coffee machine, nice tiled bathroom and ok beds.
Located some 7-8 minutes walk from the center of Zermatt, you might want to take a cab if you have heavy luggage when you arrive, since its uphill most of the way. =)
Easy access to the different ski areas by bus only a few hundred meters away, or you can also take the Gornergrat bahn (train) from the town center.
One really nice surprise was the spa located in the basement of the building, which is also included, free of charge. There you find whirlpools, sauna, steam sauna and shower - very relaxing after a long day in the slopes.
I might definitely come back here, but then we might choose one of the bigger apartments with balcony. -

Stayed with a friend for a walking holiday and was not dissapointed with Zermatt or with this apartment. The apartment is located about 10 minutes away from the train station, and had excellent views of the Matterhorn from the balcony. We actually stayed in the 1.5 bed studio, which was very modern and had some great touches: cool little coffee maker, excellent stereo and TV, well-kitted out kitchen (except kettle, which is odd for a self-catering option).
There was a few teething problems with the accommodation, such as a broken light in the bathroom, no wifi on our floor, and no kettle as mentioned. However, the health/spa area in the basement really made up for it. We had full use of the sauna, steamroom, and jacuzzi included in the price - which really helped after exhausting days exploring the alps.
