Cardiff, Wales, United KingdomThe best view in Zermatt
Left on 10/08/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We stayed for nine nights at this clean, homely and comfortable apartment. It had everything we needed, including a small store cupboard of food and even a dishwasher! The view from the balcony was fantastic - from the tip of the Matterhorn bathed in early morning sun to the gondolas and cable car, there was always something to look at.
The wardrobes were very spacious and the bathroom a decent size with a powerful shower over the bath. Beds were comfortable with luxurious feather quilts. All towels provided.
Booking this apartment was also a pleasure as the owner was very helpful. -

Simply perfect for my wife and me for eleven nights. Thoughtfully-designed, well-appointed, and a lovely headquarters for time in Zermatt. The mountain/valley view from the flat is lovely. Leo, the building manager, is a certified alpine guide and is a treasure. The owner could not be more helpful. This is a wonderful spot to launch incredible walks in the alpine mountains. Simply perfect.

We stayed at this studio before and love it, this time we came back again for 3 nights, still great, with good location near to the lift station, nice view to Matterhorn, clean and nice size room, and elevator is great idea after whole day hiking! Lovely owner also left some cooking oil, spices, tea, coffee and chocolate in the kitchen, which you don't normally see these small but convenience accessories.
Hope we will be back soon! -

Left on 12/11/2011 for a stay in July 2011
We stayed for a much needed week in late July and couldn't have been happier with our choice.
First of all, the building is really within walking distance from most amenities, shops and several restaurants - and a great starting point for tours and visits. 4 mn walk to the Matterhorn. Speaking of which, the appartment offers beautiful views over it, especially from the kitchen and balcony.
Second - and IMO certainly as important, especially in rentals- it was spotlessly clean.
We really enjoyed the home away from home feeling you get in cleverly equipped appartments (like a nice selection of books) and because of that, ended up spending quite a few evenings relaxing... "home" with some music and Brandy. Since it is South oriented, we could enjoy the sun well into the evening, a nice and halas not so frequent asset in mountain resorts.
The place is extremely quiet, even with all windows open. We must stress we had been a little sleep deprived before our holidays and could really recharge our batteries within this too short week off. We would love to go back, especially in times of "fatigue crisis".
Last not least, and knowing Zermatt from previous stays, I believe it was fantastic value for money. -

Left on 12/07/2011 for a stay in February 2011

Two of us stay in this cute apartment for 1 week in the mid of June, I've been to this charming little mountain town 4 times, and I love this apartment more than the hotels I've stayed in Zermatt before.
First of all, it contained pretty much everything we need during the stay: soft abundant bed sheets and covers, dining table, sofa, cookware, TV & book...etc. there is even a balcony we can hang out with non-disturbing view to Matterhorn. The place is meticulous clean; especially the kitchen and bathroom, not big place but cozy and comfortable, with everything we needed when we were far away from home.
Second, the location was great. Very quiet apartment just a bit outside the main street, away from downtown hustle bustle, but it only took a nice short walk to town center, restaurants, ski lift and supermarket nearby, away from the train station and all the noise. We could cook a lot of meals (still, we were in pricy Switzerland famous mountain village) and stayed in with a glass of wine and beautiful night view looking towards Matterhorn, or went grab a drink in the bars or a nice walk around town after dinner.
The most important thing is the view; we could see the moon light shining on the mountains from our bed, dining table, kitchen and balcony, with Matterhorn of course. The sunrise view with the lights gradually lit on the mountain and Matterhorn was just unforgettable-yes we have jetlag.
The owner was very courteous with all the information and direction we need when we stayed in Zermatt, there were even emergency groceries for us to use in the kitchen the first night we arrived there. We felt like we were home when we stayed there, not once-a-year-visitor in Zermatt at all. I missed the apartment and would like to go back again in the very near future.
