Paradise!
Absolutely one of the best vacations we've had! It was such a pleasure staying at The Marlin House. Beautifully decorated, plenty of amenities, fantastic service and the best views! Location was great too...five minute walk to the beach. The open air living spaces make for a very special tropical vacation. The condo was so much more than we expected. It was the perfect place for our family. Lots of extras included (fresh flowers, beer, wine, refreshments and even treats for our children)! We hope to return again next year.

Amazing view and hosts, too!
My husband and I, along with my parents, stayed for a week at the 'Marlin House' 2 in early December. It is a beautifully furnished condo and was very roomy and comfortable for 2 couples.
The photos don't lie- it really is as lovely as it appears in pictures! The condo is quite high up on the hill so you get a wonderful view of the bay from both the open-air living room and the large master balcony, complete with sunsets nightly.
The kitchen is very well-equipped, oven/stove/microwave/full size fridge and water purification system. Dee and Mike were great hosts, if he is not busy Mike will even do airport pick-ups! We arrived to fresh flowers and beer and wine and soda in the fridge, very thoughtful touches! And they are on-site residents too, so always available if you have any questions or issues.
You could cook every meal in the condo, if you so choose- we made a quick trip to the grocery store for supplies and had snacks and breakfasts but ate out every night since Zihuatanejo has a wealth of great restaurants.
This was our fifth trip to Zihua but first time staying on La Ropa, and we really enjoyed this area. I think we will be staying on La Ropa from now on- the beach is much nicer than Madera, and it is very quiet and peaceful at night. Although it is far enough from Centro to necessitate more taxi rides than staying on Madera, they are cheap (35 pesos) and we never had to wait more than 5 minutes for one to come when the (24 hour security) guard would call. There are stairs down to the road and an elevator to this fourth floor unit, so it is not very hard to navigate at all.
The two infinity pools were wonderful too, and the larger one a very good size! Not too cold as many pools tend to be in Mexico, since this area is so warm all winter. Perfect temp! And at least during our stay it was never hard to get a lounger or find shade by the pool.
We all highly, highly recommend The Marlin House!

Vacation with your own personal tour guides...
This vacation was one of the best vacations of my lifetime. Waking up to the glorious, open windowed view of the mountains and the pacific, is the best way to start your day. In addition, all the added amenities, made me feel comfortable and at home, in a foreign place. The hosts of the Marlin House are always ready with several options of day, nighttime, and dinner activities... and that's why it's like they are like your personal tour guides. One of the best recommendations was fishing on the "Huntress.” Francisco and his assistant knew how to read the "signs of the sea”, as far as where the best fishing is located, and the movement of the fish.
I have only been home for 2 days, and I am so sad I had to leave such a wonderful country and environment. The people make a vacation wonderful, and that is why I will return whenever possible.

Awesome Trip/Awesome place to stay
The view from the condo is spectacular, and it is fun to watch the fishing boats race in every night at sunset. The condo is immaculate, and these photos don't do it justice. We were lucky enough to witness the sea turtles being born at Paty's one night, and fishing with Francisco was the best. We not only caught fish, but Francisco took us to Ixtapa Island and had a chef prepare them for our lunch while we snorkeled. I couldn't have wished for a better vacation. Mike and Dee have great suggestions on what to do where to go out and eat, and they know all the restaurants. Taxis and the town bus are easily accessible and cheap. We had so much fun we can't wait to return. The weather is beautiful everyday, the pools are great after a day on the beach or a day in town. It's everything we could ever want out of a vacation.

Relaxation Getaway
We had the most amazing time. For a girlfriend week this will be hard to top. The condo has a show-stopping view that spans the entire bay below. The rooms are open and airy and beautifully decorated. Mike and Dee were wonderful hosts who pointed us to the best retaurants, fishing and souvenir shops. All the little touches made it feel like home from the blow dryer to the great blender for pina coladas. The infity pools were enticing for the days we came home hot from the beach. Every possible activity you could want is close by, from parasailing to snorkeling to sailing to fishing to shopping. The public bus was so much fun to ride into town for a cost of about 5 pesos or roughly 50cents. The mexican people are warm and welcoming. Haggling for souvenirs is almost like a sport here. I would go again and highly reccomend the Marlin House as the perfect place to stay.
