Casa d'Arte had the most incredible views, and was exactly what
Our Vrbo rental of Casa d'Arte was arranged for by the manager of the property, Harriet Garfinkle. Harriet made sure that our stay was going to be efficient and comfortable. She arranged through Eleiser, the concierge, (who was very helpful and accomodating) for our daughter and husband to have the use of a crib for our 6 month old grand son for our stay and also to have groceries in the condo for our arrival. We loved the well-equipped condo. It was very roomy and very artfully decorated. The large terrace afforded an incredible view and was a great spot for morning coffee/breakfast and evening drinks/meals. The Casa Que Ve al Mar condo complex's 2 infinity pools were wonderful to swim and refresh ourselves in, or just lounge around, and the view from them was awesome. The complex was about a 10 minute walk down a steep hill to beautiful La Ropa beach (we enjoyed our daily excercise) and a 20 to 30 minute walk to "El Centro" Zihuatanejo. We loved the location of the condo as we are very much beach people, and marvelled at the view from the terrace every morning and again every evening when the sun went down in an incredible display. We're glad we experienced Casa d'Arte while our grandson was so young as the unit would not have been suitable for toddlers or young children due to the exposed terrace. Other units in the complex will likely serve us well in the future as we intend to return with older grandchildren.

Quick Weekend
We had only a two night stay at the Casa d'Arte before heading north to Troncones.
Make sure that when you get a cab from the airport you insist that they can take you all the way up to the main enterance. Ours dropped us at the base of the hill and we had a serious hike with our luggage (at least we earned that first marg.)
The view from the condo is spectacular! Without question, really beautiful. We had four guests and used both bedrooms, the couple staying the in "back" bedroom were attacked nightly by mosquitos. They tried to sleep under the bug net but it was so stuffy and hot under there that it made for a terrible night of sleep. Meanwhile the couple in the front bedroom had only a few bites and were able to keep the door open to the fresh air.

This has been a terrible year for mosquitoes. It is so rare for bugs to even be an issue in Zihuatanejo at this time of year. I hear stunned reports and complaints from all over town, and up and down the beaches about bug bites.
Was the AC not working in the back bedroom? That should have left your folks comfortable under the netting.
We have been trying very hard to eradicate the bugs, but they have been a problem everywhere. Thanks for letting us know.

Although the weather was humid, we Loveddd it!
The place is so much more beautiful and spacious when you see it! We took a 10 hour bus ride (though it was publicized to be a 6 hour drive) from Mexico City, and you should have seen our faces when we stepped into the condo. The decorations all around the house, the floor even was beautifully decorated with stones! and very well equipped with bowls, glasses etc. We had a couple of ants plague us in the kitchen, but there was a notice that the place was going to be sprayed the day we left.
We spent almost all of our time in the infinity pools, which we loved, and the view from the terrace is unbeatable, as you are on almost one of the highest levels!
Harriet is so on top of things, and her guide that she sends you is amazing when you book with her. We did go during low season, as the humidity is pretty crazy, but despite that our group of 5 had an absolutely lovely time at Casa d'Arte.

Awe-inspiring!
La Casa del arte was an exceptional place to pass time with our adult daughter from alaska. The interior design, colorful arrangements, paintings and extraordinarily magnificent views from the big open balcony were breath-taking from the moment we stepped in the door. Truly a lovely place with friendly staff and location on La Playa beach.

Amazing Views
We recently stayed at Casa d' Arte, and we had a very nice time. The views are definitely as advertised... panoramic and spectacular. The outdoor space is as big as our living room and dining room combined... it's definitely where we spent the majority of our time.
The walk to/from the beach was not excessive, and La Ropa Beach is wonderful... plenty of places to lay out or eat in the evening. If you stay here, do read the manager's recommendations for travel prep, restaurants, etc. They were spot on and very helpful. Some prior reviews mention the truck noise, and it's definitely there... but we tuned it out after awhile.
The only downside were mosquitoes at night... we wanted to leave the windows open to hear the ocean, but my wife was bit so many times the first night that we had to close the windows and turn on the air. We've recommended to the manager to consider mosquito netting in the bedroom closest to the ocean.
Overall though it's a very nice condo, quiet building, great views... and amazing weather.
