The complex has a distinctive modern Mexican design. It is within easy walking distance of beaches, central food markets & downtown: there is no need to rent a car. The Madera neighbor has just completed a major upgrade with resurfacing of roads, new benches for resting & new vegetation plantings. The area has many of Zihuatanejo's boutique hotels. There are many wonderful small local restaurants close to your unit. The Madera beach is just one block away. An extensive local market area for food & local products is a 5 minute walk. The downtown nightlife is close at hand but will allow you a peaceful night's sleep. Many local buses can carry you around town & beyond. Taxis are plentiful & economical. There are four separate sandy beaches to relax & enjoy.

We did have an awesome holiday! Peter picked us up at the airport, gave us a tour of the area and then dropped us at the condo to meet his lovely wife and another orientation to the accomadation. The condo was great, it was spacious and everything was in place. It was nice to have the swimming pool to cool down if needed. The location of the condo is in walking distances to beaches, restaraunts and the market. This was convenient and we certainly did not need a car. The best part of our holiday was the incredible weather the warm ocean and the fantastic sunsets. Definately worth a return visit.

My partner and I stayed at Carol and Peter's condo, and could not be more satisfied with our experience. Zihuatanejo is a lovely village - close to beaches, great food and charm (it's not super touristy). Peter and Carol are fantastic, gracious hosts. Peter picked us up from the airport and brought us to their glorious condo, where we found the fridge filled with beer, wine and breakfast staples. The unit is spacious, comfortable and located ~10 min from all the beaches as well as markets, restaurants etc. The kitchen is fully equipped, which allowed us to prepare our breakfasts/snacks "in house." The bedroom has aC, which is a nice bonus, a kind-sized comfortable bed, tonnes of storage etc. The adjoining washroom was more than adequate and had all of the amenities. The unit is located in a closed-in complex, where several (primarily retired/semi-retired) people live. As such, it's super quiet and chill. There is a lovely pool at the complex - though we took advantage of the beaches. The staff that work at the complex are beyond helpful. Would highly recommend staying at this condo and having a glass with Carole and Peter, who are extremely interesting and kind hosts.

We now have stayed at the condo three times and we plan to return again next year. The condo has a well equipped kitchen, which is very important to us. We walk to the cental mercado to buy fish and fresh fruits and vegetables that we need to make dinner. And if necessary, we can walk to the La Commercial Mexicana (which is air conditioned but a bit of a longer walk). Playa Madera is only a few blocks away for swimming, and you can easily walk to Playa Ropa. Lots of good restaurants - some are just down the street. The condo development is well maintained. Many owners of the other units stay for most of the winter and we have enjoyed getting to know them as we sit around the pool.
Carol and Peter have been very gratious to us - making sure that everything is working properly and over the years they have become our friends.
