Description
We are steps ( 3-4 minutes walk) from house to convenient boardwalk which takes you directly to the waves and white sand. Awesome Gulf views from the house. Owner-managed 4 bedrooms / 3 bath, three story house is located at the Plantation (24x7 gated community) on St. George Island. Great home for up to 10 people. Tennis courts, two huge community pools and awesome bike/walk trail are available for you. No high rises, no crowd. Our Island is known as a serene and pet-friendly vacation paradise. Welcome to The Paradise!
The Palms is vacation beach house located on the St George Island at the Plantation, 24x7 gated community. The Plantation considers itself a Nature Preserve and provides a special balance of nature and wildlife, pristine, private beaches and beautiful homes. The Palms offers awesome Gulf view alongside with natural and peaceful setting among beautiful palms where you can escape the stresses of everyday living and enjoy great vacation.
It is 4 bedroom/3 bathroom, two living areas, two levels home with Gulf views and 3-4 minutes walking distance to the beach.
On the ground floor we have two parking spaces under the house, fish preparation table, shower with hot/cold water.
First Floor.
There are 4 bedrooms, 2 full bath and living area on the first floor of the house. All bedrooms have queen size beds and spacey closets. Three of the bedrooms have tv. Both bathrooms have 2 entry doors: one from the adjacent bedroom (pocket door) and another from the living area. So you can control the access to the bathroom if you need: the bathrooms could be accessed from the living area, or they could be locked and fully private to bedrooms.
The first level offers also living area which we call children game space.
The Second Floor.
The high ceiling in the center of the house gives a wonderful sense of space, airy, light and makes all the area very open, grand and attractive.
There are large living area, dining area, kitchen, laundry/full bathroom, access to two furnished decks and screened porch on the second floor. The open living/dining/kitchen concept is great for entertaining large groups and allows families to stay connected to create memories that will last a lifetime.
The kitchen with breakfast bar keeps the chefs of the family just earshot away. It is fully equipped with dishes, microwave, grill, side by side refrigerator, stove, oven, toaster, pans, coffee maker, blender. You can enjoy the view of Gulf while preparing your meal!
Dining area has dining table which seats comfortably six and attached to the kitchen and living area.
Additional seating for 4 is available at the breakfast bar or you may prefer to enjoy your meals on the decks or screened porch.
Living area has sofa, love seat, couple chairs and large TV. There is also a telescope here so you can watch the planets and stars. The living area is large, light-filled, open and comfortable with the water view through sliding glass deck door.
Washer and dryer are available in the laundry/full bath on this level.
Our twin sun decks (East and West) are furnished. They provide the best place to see sunrise and sunset, enjoy refreshing breeze from the Gulf or just to have good time with friends or family.
The Bay side screened porch is an old-style Florida porch where many warm evenings with cool breeze has been enjoyed. In this porch you will be at home with nature and may be blessed with sightings of bald eagles, herons, owls, egrets and other local wildlife.
Our rentals are by week or month with occasional exceptions. If you wish to rent for a shorter/longer period of time we encourage you to contact us. Pleas let us know the dates and how many people/pet are going to stay in the house. We will try to accommodate your needs.

Non stick skillets are a hot item and we are trying to replace them regularly, but unfortunately they get damaged very fast. We probably will include this item in our recommended to bring list. You stated: “There are two boardwalks that lead to the beach, the one on the right is a nicer boardwalk and is about a 10 minute walk to the beach. The other boardwalk to the left seemed shorter and that part of the beach wasn't as crowded as the other part of the beach by the nicer boardwalk.” Well, it is a correct description except the time and place on the beach. We state: “...we are steps ( 3-4 minutes walk) from house to convenient boardwalk which takes you directly to the waves and white sand.” We are using this description for years and many our guests told us that they found this distance short and desirable. We also try to offer value for your dollars, and I know that we are very competitive in this market, and in this distance from the beach. We provide number of towels sets equals number of people staying in the house plus one extra. Towel set includes bath towel, hand towel and wash cloth. Because reservation was made for 2 people our cleaning people left 3 towel sets. Our Vacation Rentals is "self-catering". That is to say, when you rent from us you look after your own needs. There is no cleaning or maid service, and guests are expected to do their own laundry (which is why we supply in-suite washer/dryers, they are expected to prepare their own meals (which is why we provide full kitchens and cooking utensils) and, basically they are encouraged to treat our properties as their "home away from home". We are NOT a hotel, and there is, in my opinion, a huge difference between the two industries. However we are always trying to do extra to please our guests. If our cleaning people would be working in the close proximity we would ask them to drop a few extra towels sets for you. Once again, thank you for your comments. We do listen to our customers concerns and feedback to make our property even better.
