VANCOUVER ISLAND - ELES ESCAPE B and B by the SEA

Lantzville b&b

  • 2 bedrooms
  • 1 bathroom
  • sleeps 2

“We'll be back!” If you're looking for someplace with attentiveness to all the details and more, Ele's Escape is it! Pet-friendly was my first clue it would be wonderful. But I had no idea the food would be so spectacular, the guest room filled with unexpected fun and comfort ( think amazing chocolate, homemade cookies, soft robes and lots more...). The bed was soo soft and cozy, the ocean within view and a 1 minute walk and the hosts incredible. Informative, welcoming and fun, they are some of the best we've experienced. A fantastic place to rejuvinate and play! Click on that reserve button and give yourself (and your pup!) a great gift! Mary M.

EAGLE'S AERIE VACATION RENTAL

Qualicum Beach cottage

  • 1 bedroom
  • 1 bathroom
  • sleeps 4

“Oh! such beautiful beach!” We did enjoy a lot our stay at Easgle's aerie. Sandy is a very nice hostess, very friendly. The appartment is clean, well decorated; kitchen is well furnished so we could cook the fresh seafood bought at the marina at French Creek. And now, the lanscape! It is gorgeous; beach is clean and easy to walk on at low-tide. Unfortunately, the eagles were on vacation on the continent as Sandy tells. Even though, the appartment is not oceanfront, we had total access to the patios and garden in front of their home.

Bear Valley Highlands Wilderness retreat - Cabin 1

Lumby house

  • 1 bedroom
  • 1 bathroom
  • sleeps 6

“Spectacular wilderness get away...refreshing” I was vacationing along with 5 family members from all across Canada. We arrived after a beautiful scenic drive from Calgary to be welcomed by Barbara in a way that we felt home, safe and amoung family. The log cabins are spectacular, very clean and everything you need to be comfortable. The view from every window was breathtaking and different and even when the cows come visiting you are happy to see them. The cabins are located off the main highway near Lumby BC but not to the point of feeling isolated. The drive up the mountain to Bear Valley is breath taking and exciting, up-down and around but more than worth the climb. We spent a week of what I would call inner peace and tranquility just having fun with each other, nights of non-stop talking and laughing, running into the cabin when suspicious noice heard by side of the cabin or miserious noices coming from the meadows. Life is good in the wild. Then came Barbara on two occassions with wonderful homemake cake which we all fought for the last morsels. Barbara & Jurgen her husband made us feel like one of the family giving us greens from their organic garden and the pleasure of meeting Wanya their dog who also made our stay that much more memorable(visited on a day basis). If getting away from computer/cell phones and spending memorable time making wonderful memories with loved ones this is the place... Thank you Barabara ans Jurgen and my family will definitely be back in the near future.

Seaside Cottage 2 bedrooms on the Ocean, hot tub, gas fireplace, furnished deck

Campbell River log cabin

  • 2 bedrooms
  • 1 bathroom
  • sleeps 6

“Right on the beach” I have stayed here often and every time it has been awesome. The hot tub on the front deck is located for privacy and the view is spectacular from inside or out. The cottages are bordered by evergreens on each side of the property, there are only two cottages on the property so booking far in advance is a good idea. A small mall is just a few hundred yards away, with a grocery store, pub and liquor store, drugstore and more

Tanglewood Beach House - West Coast Living at its best.

Parksville house

  • 2 bedrooms
  • 2 bathrooms
  • sleeps 4

“Woodland setting and close to ocean, but still close to all amen” I have stayed at a lot of different rental properties and can honestly say that the Tanglewood Beach House is one of the best I have stayed at. They have a great book that the owners created outlining the area and what there is to do. It also includes a reference guide for the condo on simple things but things that if you don't live there you wouldn't know how to turn certain things on/off and which remote does what. The kitchen also has everything you need to cook with.

“Well appointed, convenient location.” Market Square was a great location, close to groceries, restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, free shuttle, Olympic Plaza and liquor store. Building was very secure and free parking convenient to unit. Unit was well laid out and kitchen was well equipped with every thing needed for our stay. Excellent entertainment system. Gas fireplace, drying rack very useful. Lots of shelves and hooks. New dishwasher :). Nice hot tub. Dave was an awesome host who was very responsive and helpful to any of our questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Tesla Lake Lodge- Wilderness Getaway

Burns Lake log cabin

  • 3 bedrooms
  • 1 bathroom
  • sleeps 6

“Perfect place to unwind and enjoy fishing.” We have been going to Tesla Lodge for over 10 years and love the lake. The package includes the plane trip to the lake, the cabin, boats at all three lakes, a smoker and a beauitful lake. The fishing can be slow at times but when you catch a fish they are large and put up a fight. The view from the cabin is awesome, I can and have spent hours just sitting on the deck and enjoying being alive in this beauitful place on earth. We have seen moose, goats and grizzlies. The eagle and loons are also there to welcome us back. The cabin has everything you could need on a remote lake. Hot water, stove, refrigerator, wood stove with lot of wood for the cooler evenings. We have picked huckberries for our pancakes. Nic and Mary are awesome to work with and have always been great to us. I would recommend this lake to anyone who wants to catch big fish and get away from it all.

About British Columbia

From sweeping seas to soaring mountains, the Canadian province of British Columbia is a naturally spectacular place. Here, pristine forests blanket the rugged Pacific coast, flanked by a backdrop of snow-capped mountains. In addition to its natural beauty, BC is home to some of Canada's most cosmopolitan destinations, particularly the large and lovely city of Vancouver. With great cuisine, a growing arts scene, and lots of charming neighborhoods to explore, Vancouver has become an international destination of choice.

In the winter, you can come to British Columbia for world-class skiing, snowboarding, sledding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, snow tubing, and ice skating in and around the gorgeous mountain ranges of the Rockies. In the summer, you can go rafting, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, bird watching, deep sea diving, kayaking, and mountain biking. The region is also among the most famous in Canada for golfing. If you'd like spend a day on the green, there are 25 courses in the Kootenay Rockies alone. With its clean and cosmopolitan cities, scenic wilderness, and unspoiled coast, you could spend a lifetime exploring British Columbia.

When planning your trip, consider these must-see destinations:

  • Victoria: British Columbia's capital, Victoria is filled with historic architecture, pretty gardens, cool cafes, and contemporary boutiques and galleries.
  • Nelson: A former mining town in the Kootenay Rockies, Nelson is home to a lively mix of people and a surprisingly upbeat cultural scene.
  • Whistler: Whistler has an amazing mountain for skiing, accompanied by an adorable small town.

-Vancouver Island: Much of the pristine wilderness on this beautiful Pacific island has been designated parkland by the Canadian government.

  • Okanagan Valley: With some of the sunniest weather in Canada, this pretty region is home to numerous wineries, golf courses, sandy beaches, and great restaurants.

If you are planning a trip to British Columbia, consider a vacation rental in one of the region's amazing cities or towns. An apartment rental or condo in downtown Vancouver can be a great way to enjoy a cosmopolitan vacation, while still enjoying the natural beauty of British Columbia's surrounding mountains and sea. A cabin in the town of Nelson or the Bella Coola Valley will give you unbeatable access to nature while a luxury villa or beach house along the British Columbia shoreline will put you on one of the most beautiful stretches of the Pacific Ocean.

Ground Level Seaside GETAWAY!! Pool~Hot Tub and Private Dock!!
Serenity in your backyard

This place was amazing. If you are looking for a peaceful place, with quick access to everything you need this is the place for you. We arrived at night and we knew that the water was close as we could hear it hitting the shore. When we woke up, we were pleasantly surprised that we could see the water from the private balcony area. So I relaxed, sipped my coffee an played some cards while I sat and listened to the water. I took a dip in the amazing hot tub and watched the boats in the water and than came back and was able to cook a nice meal for my family as this unit had everything that we needed. The next day, we explored the shoreline and collected seashells and spotted wildlife. If you want to get away from the city, this is the place for you.see more
100 meters to the Lifts! Family Condo at Base of Blackcomb! Professionally Mana
Great Stay

Spent 3 nights here, family of 6 and we stayed in unit 334. We all fit in the unit nicely with the foldout couch. Having the full kitchen was great and there is a small grocery just across the street and a liquor store on the bottom floor of the building. You can also rent your skis inside the building with a discount. The hot tub was hot and even the pool was warm enough to swim in. Within walking distance of the Blackcomb gondala (short walk). Tip: book your lift passes online the night before for a discounted rate once you get thr cards from the sales building st the foot of the gondola. There are likely cheaper places to rent, but Glacier Lodge is close to everything and has great rooms. If you want more restaurants, the main village is within 10 minutes walking.see more
Waterfront Condo in Delta Grand Okanagan Resort, a Marriott Resort
Kelowna Keeper

This charming nicely furnished and well equipped first-floor lakeside view condo was the perfect location and layout for two couples exploring the Kelowna area for the first time, and we will return! We could relax on the patio, loosen up in the spa/pool areas, and explore the adjacent boardwalk with the estuary and birds to the north or parks/shops/restaurants to the south and east. With our rental car, it was easy to hike/bike trails and train trestles/tunnels and enjoy wine-tastings and delicious varied cuisine a bit farther away. Jill's home is a gem, and we are thrilled that she shares it!see more

VIU student approved

My brother and I stayed here for a month while completing a program at VIU. It was a perfect location to walk everyday and contained everything we needed for a long term stay. Owners were great and revised our dates kindly without question. My only concern was the neighbors do yell uncomfortably loud at night sometimes, otherwise great stay.see more
