Direct Oceanfront 1 BR - Valley Isle Resort #1009

Lahaina apartment

  • 1 bedroom
  • 1 bathroom
  • sleeps 4

“Fabulous Sunsets and Whale Watching - Room 1009!” I had the great fortune to come to Maui during whale season and was able to see all of the action from my lanai in Room 1009. This room at the Valley Isle is just spectacular! It is private, beautifully decorated and stocked with everything we needed. There were beach chairs, a cooler, and boogie boards which saved us rental money. The view was unbelievable! Watched whales jumping and turtles swimming by. Watched the sunset every night and had magnificent views of Molokai. We will definitely book this room when we come back. Highly recommend it!

Amazing House w/ Pool, Cabana & More Kihei Wailea

Kihei house

  • 4 bedrooms
  • 5 bathrooms

“Best family holiday we have had in ages” This is a really lovely place. The pool area and cabana are private and very user friendly. Beach in the morning and sheltered pool area in the afternoon, ideal with 3 teenagers. Bedrooms are spacious and everything works. We didn't bother with a/c just opened the house up and used the ceiling fans. Plenty of living space and room for people to do their own thing if they wanted to. Close to most things but far enough away from noise and crowds. It helps that Maui is absolutely brilliant. Andrew leaves you alone but is readily available to help with any minor issues. The kids said it was the best family holiday they have been on in ages. We agree.

“Kihei Stay” I would consider coming back. Very affordable pricing. The unit has been upgraded (except for the TV). We did spot one cockroach, but those are native to the island. Location isn't uber busy, which I recommend for a mellow/relaxing vacation. I would definitely consider coming back.

“Fantastic Kam Sands Condo!!!” We have stayed at Kamaole Sands a number of times now, and this is the best unit that we have found. The condo if very nicely upgraded, it has been very well maintained, and Joe and Gee have taken great care to make sure that it is fully stocked with all that you might need. Don't hesitate to book this one - you will be very impressed!!! Allen

“Breathtakingly beautiful” From the morning sunrises with coffee on the lanai to the afternoon/evenings watching the turtles this place is simply amazing. It is very quiet away from the hustle and bustle of being near all the hotels yet very centrally located and easy to get anywhere on the island. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to come back. This will be our Maui home unless we do something crazy and invest in our own piece of paradise

“Great condo, Great Location!” Great condo, great location! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently returned home from a 10 day stay at Papakea G-407! I wish I could have stayed forever! The condo is in a great location convenient to several gorgeous beaches and a short drive to Lahaina town. We had all the conveniences needed to prepare meals in and enjoyed dinner on the lanai several evenings with a beautiful sunset! Anne provided a great deal of information on the area as well as helpful hints for shopping, sightseeing, etc. The grounds at Papakea are absolutely beautiful! There are two great pools as well as two large jacuzzis. We will definitely return to this condo on our next visit to beautiful Maui! Thank you, Anne and Wes for sharing your home with us! “Great Stay in Kihei” The property was excellent and well furnished. The provided accessories really made it worthwhile and could not have been better. The only thing we would have liked to see would have been a curtain or light blocking covering in the bedroom window to stop the early morning sunlight...not a negative for early risers, but for us sleep inners, a nice to have. Otherwise this is the best furnished and set up property we have rented...especially for the excellent price. We would definitely recommend this place to others and will use it again the next time we return to Maui..Mahalo and Aloha

“Every morning on the patio, with a cup of coffee, made us realiz” We had a wonderful time in Maui and your home was so comfortable and up to date. It had everything we needed, and the coffee table book you put together (with all the suggestions of things to do & where to eat) was so helpful. Before arriving, we were skeptical of being on the first floor but it was absolutely the best place to be. And the view... down the fairway right down to the waves crashing on the coast!!! Breathtaking!!! I will pass along your condo information to our friends who are looking to visit Maui.

“Great spot for a relaxing vacation.” This is our second visit to #307. We spent four weeks relaxing and unwinding. Jim and Sue made sure everything was perfect and kept in touch as the islands were in the path of Hurricanes Iselle and Julio, which fortunately didn't affect us at Kahana. We look forward to our next visit to Maui.

“A decision you won't regret!” We recently stayed in E-6 and absolutely loved it. From the ease of being able to book the condo to the great service we received from Mike. He was always willing to help with all and any questions I had with not only the condo, but our entire trip. The pictures do not do this unit justice, everything worked out better than could be expected! The beach is peaceful and only a short walk from the front door, full of beautiful fish and turtles. The condo is a very short drive from Lahaina and only a couple blocks from a grocery store. If you are looking for a great getaway with all the amenities of home, this is exactly what your looking for! Can't wait to go back and definitely will be staying at Kahana Sunset!!

“Comfortable, convenient and well stocked McCann's Maui Vista” McCann's Maui Vista is a home away from home! It has everything you need to prepare meals, go to the beach and relax in style. The unit is well decorated and comfortable. The beds and bedding were nice, the towels were fluffy and smelled clean. The kitchen had pots, pans, baking sheets, knives cutting boards juice jugs. You may think "big deal" but we have stayed in places where there have been a lack of these things and barring packing this stuff or buying it, it is nice to not have to worry! The multiple pool access is nice. We have small children so if there were an abundance of non children people at the closest pool, we just moved on to the next one. There were also times, more often than not, where we were the only ones at the pool. This may be because the non children people went somewhere else! Maui Vista is within a few minutes walk to the beach or shops and restaurants if one is so inclined. I would return to McCann's unit and I have recommended it to friends. It was a great experience!

“Wonderful accommodations” We stayed at Jean's condo for 2 weeks in Feb/March 2014. The condo was outstanding on the quiet end of Kihei Rd. This is a very nice condo with an island color scheme. The furnishings were comfortable both inside and on the lanai. There is air conditioning but you can get a nice breeze moving if you use the ceiling fans and keep the windows open. Everything was there for our use. The only thing you need to bring is a change of clothes, perishable groceries and a toothbrush. The cupboards were well stocked with almost everything imaginable including aloe vera for my husbands nasty sunburn. Having a washer and dryer in the unit is a great advantage. The laundry detergent & fabric softener were provided. The kitchen has all kinds of stuff you might need including a mix master, food processor etc. We have made several trips to Maui and have never stayed somewhere that was so well stocked. The condo was very well cleaned without a speck of dust anywhere. The floors shined. The gardeners are meticulous. Not a single blade of grass was out of place. The area around the pool has several bbq's and an outdoor kitchen. The pool and hot tub were nice and didn't have excessive chemicals used. Jean was very attentive to our needs. She answered phone calls and replied to all emails within minutes. She provided a lovely gift basket for us filled with coffee, potato chips, chocolates plus other goodies. She has a book of information in the condo with recommendations for restaurants, activities, etc. I would highly recommend this condo for anybody that needs a two bedroom. I wish there was a way to leave more than 5 stars because this place is a 10. Thank you again Jean for sharing your lovely condo with us. I cannot wait to go back. We will most certainly rent from you again on our next trip.

“Wonderful Time” We loved the condo, the only problem we had with the unit is it was too hot. The sun came in from 8 am till sunset. We love sitting on the Lanai but there is no sun screen to block full sun. The entire A building has this problem. We will only stay on B side from now on. Other than that it was wonderful.

“In the Top 3!” We have been coming to Maui for over 30 years. In that time, we have stayed in many different condos and Ohanas(private cottages). This unit was definitely in our top 3. The location was perfect! We could easily walk out our door to grocery stores & post office or restaurants. The unit was a little more spacious than most. They have upgraded the kitchen & bathroom, doing an excellent job on the nice big shower. Being located on the ground floor, with a spacious lanai, & near the BBQs, offered us the opportunity to host a couple of gatherings for 10-12 people. The unit is pretty well stocked with almost anything you"ll need. We loved the king size bed and and the matching furnishings. Having a safe for our valuables was an added & well appreciated bonus. The grounds are well kept, with an excellent swimming pool and outdoor kitchen area. The beach is only a block away. The owners are very responsive to any problem that we had. There were only 2 negatives that we found but which we managed to work around. The w/d are not in the unit. Luckily, they are located right outside the door and there was a change machine at the pool, which helped immensely. The laundry so close, made it less of an inconvenience than we thought it would be & we were there for 6 wks, so we did do laundry. The most negative thing is that this complex bills itself as a nonsmoking complex but has no bylaws to enforce No Smoking on residents who choose to smoke on their lanais. All guests seem to follow the rules and restricted their smoking to the designated Smoking Areas. Unfortunately, the owner/neighbor next to us, even after implored by both the owners and ourselves to please not smoke because it drifted directly into our unit, persisted in doing so and was not reasonable when approached. Luckily, this will not deter us from returning to this unit. We had a mostly wonderful stay and sincerely look forward to more stays in the near future and for years to come.

“Every detail taken care of...” We loved the Maui Sands condo, it was completely perfect for us.Every detail was so thoughtfully taken care of that we really didn’t have to worry about a thing. From the provided cooler, beach chairs, and umbrella, to the snorkel gear and ocean shoes. Almost every time it occurred to us that we needed something, we found it in the condo. The complex grounds were so well maintained and quiet. We used the grill one night, as well as the lovely pool. The availability of recycling was very important to us, we really appreciated that. The beds and linens were very comfortable and tasteful. We also really appreciated the Condo Manual – it answered every question we could possibly have. Beautiful place to stay! It's not every morning you get to have coffee while watching the whale show - but that's the norm here. Ryan was also wonderful to work with throughout our whole planning phase, and into the week of our vacation. Very easy to communicate with and helpful.

“Immaculate Condo in a Great Central Location” Maui Vista 1319 is an immaculately clean condo with everything you need for a great stay in Maui. The condo was remodeled in late 2011 and we stayed there in February 2012. Everything was in mint condition. The bedding was so comfortable my wife is shopping for the same sheets. The unit has two air-conditioners and two ceiling fans: one set in the main room and one set in the bedroom. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals on those days you opt to cook. You'll also find an iron and ironing board, 2 sets of snorkeling gear, beach towels and beach chairs. The condo is in a convenient location with easy access to food, shopping and the beach. One of the best beaches on the island is right across the street. Walk a couple of blocks to surfing lessons and great restaurants. The Foodland grocery store is also just a few blocks down the street. This part of the island is also great for watching beautiful sunsets. Overall, it's a great centralized starting point to get to any part of the island. We HIGHLY recommend this condo and would definitely book it again for our next visit.

“WHY this is THE B E S T Condo Experience on Kaanapali Beach!!” Why this is the B E S T Condo Experience on Kaanapali Beach!! 1 – The Closest Oceanfront Condo location on Kaanapali Beach 2 – Luxurious Condo with the comforts of home 3 – Gourmet Kitchen with extensive accessories and staples 4 – Condo Owners COMMITTED to Excellent Customer Service 1 – Our family has stayed in every Kaanapali property (excluding the Sheraton) on Kaanapali Beach. They all have their own special characteristics and charm. The Whaler Condo 802 has the best location, comfort, and luxurious amenities. Most of the resorts are all set back from the ocean, and you do not have that feeling of being right on the ocean. Condo 802 is directly in front of the ocean. The soothing ocean sounds truly enhances the level of relaxation during both awake and sleeping hours. The beach in front of The Whaler is one of the best beach sites on Kaanapali Beach for relaxing and swimming. There is a reef directly in front of The Whaler that is good for snorkeling. Black Rock is a short walk from The Whaler that has OUTSTANDING snorkeling and turtle siting opportunities. 2 – The Condo is breathtakingly beautiful and immaculate. The owners, Simon and JaNell, are committed to comfort and luxury. The beds are extremely comfortable. I have sleep challenges “on the mainland” but not in Condo 802. I could not believe how well I slept. This is our 2nd time staying in Condo 802, and I have now stayed in both the guest and master rooms. The sleep situation was outstanding in both rooms. The Master Suite is spectacular. Both rooms are wonderful. However, the Master Suite is incredible! Also, the Lanai is so wonderful. As stated previously, you cannot get any closer to the ocean. We were able to directly watch the whales and site turtles as they swim along the beach line. We even saw a small pod of dolphins swimming close by, as well!! 3 – The kitchen is fantastic! We stayed for 12 nights in Condo 802. (For this trip, we decided to stay more days and dine out less.) We prepared the majority of our meals in the condo. (Martha Stewart would not be disappointed.) Every kitchen utensil and appliance is available. Spices and staples are on hand. We had many gourmet dinners, and we were never deficit for the proper accoutrements. 4 – Simon and JaNell Zemel are outstanding owners. We have stayed in many other Whaler condos. All of The Whaler owners have been wonderful. However, Simon and JaNell set a very high bar for customer service. Shortly after our arrival we received a welcome call from JaNell. She called to ensure that everything in the Condo was accommodating our needs, and she wanted to make certain that we were enjoying our stay in their home. The owners are immediately responsive to any request or issue. We had a minor garbage disposal malfunction. It was immediately addressed and resolved. Simon and JaNell are committed to making your experience in Condo 802 to be relaxing and luxurious. I believe the difference in staying at a 5 Star Resort, and The Whaler Condo 802, is that Condo 802 feels like home. There are wonderful kitchen supplies, toiletries, and laundry supplies. Condo 802 is also stocked with beach gear, which eliminates the need to rent beach gear that you may need during your vacation. Again, the owners are outstanding. They make you feel like you are close friends staying in their home. The only negative issue is leaving. The reentry into reality is very tough after staying at The Whaler Condo 802.

“Ekolu Unit 805” Wailea Ekolu Unit 805 is a comfortable, clean, spacious, beautifully updated two bedroom/two bath condo. This first floor unit with a nice lanai has a partial view of the ocean and is located in a quiet area of the complex. I would not hesitate to rent this unit again.

“more than expected!” To our suprise the unit had boggie boards, louged chairs, umbrella for beach usaged. Kitchen fully equip however the ice maker is not hook up with the water supply,(w/c can be easily fix). The condo right across from the small beach park perfect for children less waves, only about 5-7 blocks bigger park, bigger waves, very close to restaurant and groceries store. This condo is great for budget traveler like me. Oh!food expensive in Hawaii, so try to bring your fave munchies, like chips, choco, candies, only dry items no liquid or jello products, you may carryon this items with you (yap!airline employee). A car is a must if you are planing to hop from on beach to another. Don't waste your money/time going to Hana or garden of Eden, enjoy and have fun with the beach activities instead, the JOY is there!

About Maui

Maui remains, as Hawai'i's second-largest island, amazingly pristine - offering both the native wilderness of Hana and the upscale resorts of Wailea, Kaanapali and Kapalua, the deep history of Lahaina and the modern conveniences of Kahului, the family farms of Upcountry and the billion-dollar industries of the Maui Research & Technology Park in Kihei.

Maui has been called the heart chakra of the Hawaiian Islands, a place that opens the heart and calms the mind. The island hosts a rainbow of races, religions and cultures - a warm and gracious people. Residents are still cognizant of Hawaii's old-style ways and they still take the time to talk story, watch the sunset, and extend easy hospitality. With temperatures averaging a balmy 75 to 85 degrees, cooled by soft trade winds, visitors find all the little worries just slipping away.

For an unprecedented 20th time, Maui captured "Best U.S. Island" in the 25th annual Conde Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards Poll. The publication also deemed Maui "Best Island in the World" as the Hawaiian Island bested every single island and city named to the poll.

And this elite status isn't hard to understand. Maui is home to stunning native flora and fauna; hidden tropical waterfalls; rolling pastureland; steep, rocky cliffs; and some of Hawaii's most stunning sunsets, framing the islands of "Maui Nui" ("Big Maui" or Maui County): Maui, Molokini, Kahoolawe, Lanai and Molokai. With red, black and white sand, Maui's beaches have consistently been chosen by "Dr. Beach" Stephen Leatherman as ranking among the best beaches in the U.S. Kapalua, Kaanapali and Wailea beaches have also been named among his top 40 choices as the "healthiest" beaches in the country, based on water quality, amenities, safety and environmental factors.

Glitter and the good life thrive on Maui, too. Enlightened farmers, fertile soil, and brilliant, world-renowned chefs give Maui a cachet that has circled the globe. From Makawao and Kula to Central, South and West Maui, from rubber-slipper casual to elegantly chic, restaurants of all types draw an international and local clientele. The top resorts offer food and wine festivals that are signature events every year: Kapalua Wine & Food Festival; Kaanapali Fresh; Taste of Lahaina; Taste of Wailea; the Maui Onion Festival in Kaanapali.

For families, Maui offers myriad adventures that turn into family stories told again and again in the years to come. There's something about Maui that really works for bringing a family closer together. It begins with sunrise in a warm, crystal-clear sky. The climate and natural beauty suggest that it's time to slow down. There's no hurry to "get somewhere" - unless, perhaps, out onto the beach for an early morning swim or stroll.

Where to stay? Your call! How about spacious condominiums for the family with all the amenities of home? While luxury resorts line Maui's south and west shores, moderately priced accommodations abound in neighboring resort areas, and in Central and Upcountry Maui.

Beautiful, comfortable and great location.

We enjoyed our return home to Maui for 10 days in this great condo. It was peaceful, quiet, clean, well equipped. Even a dishwasher. AC and a rooftop deck! The location couldn’t have been better. Directly across from the pool and laundry. On one side of the complex is the best cinnamon rolls in the island (cinnamon roll fair) and the other side the best Deli sandwiches and salads(808 Deli). Directly across from the ocean. I came home for a wedding and some much needed rest. This was the perfect place for that.see more

Awesome View with the soumd of the Crashing Waves...

This condo was great and very large for a 1 bedroom. The large wall of mirrors in the living room makes it feel even larger. The balcony was a great place to see the sunset. The king sized bed was really comfprtable memory foam. We also used the fold out bed a ocuple of the nights and it was comfy for my mom to use. The kitchen had everything, and we made most meals there for our trip. Jim and Sue were great at contacting us with all the information er needed before we arrived, and the tips and instructions book in the room gave us some fun ideas for beaches that we ended up visiting and loving! Overall it was... Perfect! We would love to visit again in the future!see more

Excellent

Joe & Gee are one of the best host we have encountered in all my travels ! We were so impressed by the way they furnished the kitchen - spices, high grade cooking utensils, appliances, serving dishes, Ziploc bags and much more; they even had bag clips. The attention to detail is meticulous. Next time I am not paying checked baggage fee to bring toiletries - Body Wash, Shampoo & Conditioner were provided for our 12 night stay. Very close to the beach, had all the beach stuff- Tommy Bahama Chairs, Umbrella's Cooler, Bogie Board and many more things we did not dig into. The Murphy bed is very comfortable, wrestled our son for it, but lost :) Gee was so kind to help us locate a fresh fish market and was very prompt in getting back to us. Very nice and polite lady. Wish we could have met them in person but they were not on the island at the time. Highly recommend this unit and we will stay there again. A small home away from home makes this place very special.see more

Beautiful view, Beautiful condo

Our stay was perfect! We arrived late in the day and were greeted by the most beautiful sunset. The condo was exceptionally clean, very updated and very well stocked. The grounds were pristine, the pool was never crowded and we took lots of long walks along the shoreline. Everyday started with a cup of coffee on the lanai watching the day get started and ended with a cocktail on the lanai as we watched the sun set. The suggestions Paul and Joan sent of area restaurants, beaches and attractions were very helpful and much appreciated. We will definitely be recommending this location to friends and family!!see more
