“Barn conversion in Cornwall” This compact, cute home was in an excellent, central location for visiting all areas of Cornwall, which was lovely. I did miss having a washing machine. The owners, who live near, were very friendly and helpful but not intrusive.

“really quiet and lovely surroundings” lovely everything, nice owner, plenty of space, and great simple decor. It is all very new and fresh. If you are really tall the sitting room ceiling is a bit low but rest of flat has super high ceilings. Great town if you just want a retreat and like antiques. Some nice restaurants in centre and train is £5 to go to next big place. If you have a car even better eden and castle near by

“Peaceful and tranquil” Upon arrival we were greeted by the owners of the cottage, lovely people, they gave us a guided tour of the premises and left in the kitchen was a bottle of wine and chocolates, a lovely thought. The house was very comfortable, spacious, home from home, ideal for a large family, pets are welcomed with open arms. Linen provided in abundance, conservatory overlooks wonder views of the forest like setting, lots of ground to the property, all round a fabulous place for a holiday. The location is great as a starting place to explore Cornwall, if you don't mind walking, there is a nice walk down to the village shops, pub which serves very good food, supermarkets are but a short ride away. Restaurants, places to visit are easily reached from here, great as a base. The house is full of games for children, if you are a book worm, there are loads of books to read. The kitchen is well equipment, AGa stove takes a little getting use to if not used before, there is also a convensional cooker in the utility room, you couldn't want for anything else. The whole holiday was fantastic, the only minor dislike about the property is that the kitchen is a little on the dark side if the sun is shining into the conservatory, other than that there is nothing to be found fault with this property what so every, plus it is being extended to cater for even bigger families. Ground floor facilities would be ideal for someone who has difficulty with negotiating stairs, albeit not steep stairs, very slight climb. It also holds a small gym upstairs for those who are fitness freaks and miss their daily workout. You wouldn't wish for more.

“Nice, comfortable accomodation” The accomodation was really clean and comfortable and well located for getting to parts of Cornwall's north coast. However, there is nothing within walking distance of the cottage and it is right on the road - a 60mph road! This is quite disturbing as vehicles fly past.

Why Cornwall?

With its sweeping sandy beaches, quaint fishing villages, sensational seafood and a fascinating Celtic history, it’s no wonder that Cornwall has eternal appeal. Its mild climate and huge range of attractions, from the Eden Project to Tintagel Castle, will keep you coming back year after year.

Food & Drink

You’re in for a treat when it comes to Cornish cuisine! The noble Cornish pasty, packed with steaming hot beef and veg, is just what you need after a day spent surfing or walking. Seafood is excellent too, from cockles on the beach to fine dining at Rick Stein’s restaurant in Padstow. And no trip to Cornwall is complete without the classic Cornish cream tea.

A Family Favorite

Keeping the kids entertained in Cornwall is a breeze. Highlights include discovering the legend of King Arthur at Tintagel castle, seeing a show at the Minack Theatre, with its beautiful views of Porthcurno Bay, and exploring the The Lost Gardens of Heligan in St Austell. And with so many cottages and self-catering accommodation in Cornwall to choose from, picking a place to stay will be a pleasure.

Beaches In Cornwall

If it’s a beach vacation in Britain you’re looking for, Cornwall ticks all the boxes. The subtropical climate and array of Blue Flag beaches will appeal to couples, families and watersports enthusiasts alike. Surf at Fistral Beach, swim at Porthcurno, go rockpooling at Treyarnon Bay and much, much more beyond.

Ta Mill Cornish Cottages - Hayloft
Wonderful cottage in a superb location

My wife and I stayed here in April 2018 and have to say it was fantastic. The location and the views are stunning and it is perfect for all the local tourist attractions near by. Helen was very accommodating at very short notice and we weren’t disappointed when we arrived. The cottage is lovely and tranquil and we were also able to make use of the onsite hot tub. This isn’t exclusive but needs to be hired out but Helen was always on hand to help to book it or with anything else. All in all this cottage was exactly what we were looking for and we would most definitely return again. You will not be disappointed.see more
Coastguard House - Sleeps 8 - Stunning Views - Parking for 2 Cars
House is immaculate, well equipped, comfortable and truly beautiful.

Location is perfect, just far enough away from downtown and magnificent views. Only problem is as a foreigner, it was difficult to find via automobile. The Cornish people are so friendly and helpful. The management is easy to access and extremely responsive. The shops are filled with unique and quality treasures. The food is yummy! The Cornish pasties and the sticky toffee pudding are to die for! I feel like we are in a little corner of heaven, and I cannot wait to return! To think that we were inspired to come after watching Doc Martin!!!!see more
Ocean's Edge, 6 Nare Court, Mevagissey
Very comfortable, with great seaviews

A very comfortable apartment set on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The only comment, for non-Brits, the driving up and down Polkirt Hill will test your nerves. Very narrow with two-way traffic on an already close passage for one vehicle. Yes, someone has to give, and back-up or otherwise give-way. If one can adjust to the driving challlenge, truly a great place to enjoy Cornwall.see more
Betty's Cottage , Padstow.
Absolutely charming cottage in a great location

My friend and I spent 4 delightful days visiting Padstow, England. We were fortunate to chose Betty’s Cottage for our lodging and everything about it was excellent. We arrived at the cottage and needed some assistance in parking our car in the designated space at the back of the cottage. I contacted Allison and Rich was there to help us within minutes. The interior of the cottage is charming and very clean. The beds were very comfortable and although we didn’t cook there, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything one needs. The location was perfect for us as it’s an short and easy walk into the town with its pretty harbor. Going back to the cottage the road is steep but manageable for 2 “senior” woman. We would recommend the cottage.see more
