“Perfect!” The cottage was beautifully furnished and the kitchen well equipped. The main bedroom had stunning ever changing views across the estuary , the bed was so comfortable. The small bedroom was perfect for children and the bathroom was small but well designed. There were plenty of useful books and games. A perfect place to explore the stunning countryside. The owners lived next door and were able to provide information and advice. The pub just over the road was a great place to chill after a long walk and before our evening meal also a lovely way to meet the locals. All in all a perfect holiday destination .

“Fabulous little cottage” Although this cottage is tooked away down a little alley between shops, the directions given made it easy to find. Lovely cottage, welcoming, lovely decor and quite spacious. It is very clean, the layout makes for a very cosy holiday and everything you could ever need is provided together with an excellent selection of books, dvds, cds and games and a great jigsaw which we completed on a wet day. Very convenient for local shops and the beach and eating places. Can certainly recommend without hesitation and would return ourselves in the future. One of the nicest cottages we have stayed in over the years. Lovely little patio/garden area although we didn't use it owing to the time of year (October) we visited and very mixed weather.

“A little cottage with a big wow factor!!!” The cottage was of the highest standard. Everything you could need was provided. Little touches like fresh flowers, cake and refreshments were there on arrival for us. The owners wife was a kind caring lady who only wanted us to be happy she went of of her way to help us find places which were easy accessable for my disabled husband. On many occasions opened the gate and assisted parking which was right outside our. The cottage was situated in a courtyard with a good size garden at the end, ideal for active children and dogs.

About Pembrokeshire

Pembrokeshire's charming character and gorgeous landscape will have you coming back year after year. Located in the south west of Wales, Pembrokeshire borders Carmarthenshire to the east and Ceredigion to the north east. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is one of the main reasons to visit this beautiful area. Rugged cliffs and coastal rock formations are home to healthy populations of seabirds, porpoises, whales, seals and dolphins. Cycle, hike or sea kayak around the 186 miles of spectacular coastline. Flowing right through the heart of the county is the Daugleddau Estuary, a series of quiet tidal backwaters that at low tide reveal salt marsh and mud flats teeming with bird life.

Things to do in Pembrokeshire

The award-winning beaches make Pembrokeshire a summer delight for locals and visitors. With over 50 to choose from, you'll find somewhere to lay out and grab a tan. Barafundle Bay and Freshwater West are two of the most popular beaches in the area. Protected by their National Park status, Pembrokeshire's beaches have some of the cleanest waters and sands.

Where there are beaches, there are watersports to keep your entire family busy. Kayaking, canoeing, windsurfing, fishing, power boating, sailing and more. As mentioned above, the Pembrokeshire Coast Path National Trail hugs the coastline for 186 miles and has some of the most breathtaking coastal scenery in Britain. It is a wonderful trail to hike and isn't too difficult to traverse.

Away from the shore, spend your day exploring historic Pembroke Castle or St. David's Cathedral. Look for puffins at Skomer Island or shriek your way through the Pembrokeshire Falconry, where you can get up close and personal with some real falcons. Stroll through the dozens of gardens in the area and bask in the beauty of Pembrokeshire.

Dipples Disabled Access
The best ever

I wish I could offer more than the 5 stars for this lovely holiday home. We have stayed in many other places in the Haverfordwest area when visiting my parents but this was above and beyond, and will always be our first choice in future. From start to finish Mabel and William were the perfect hosts. I have some allergies which they catered for meticulously, the property was spotlessly clean and our every need was catered for. The annexe had an air of comfort and relaxation I have never experienced before to that extent. The fridge and shelves were packed with every possible food for breakfast, all of good quality. When we needed an item not routinely provided (huge pans, more outside furniture, deck chair for the beach etc), Mabel and William immediately supplied these. Because the annexe is on the flat and has wide doors etc, we were able to have my disabled father over for dinner which was a great boon. What can I say but 'Thank you so much' to William and Mabel for providing us with a home from home, making our trip so special. 6 stars for this beautiful place!see more

Wonderful view from the property

The bungalow was very spacious and clean, the patio doors looked out at a lovely view of the sea. There was ample parking and the kitchen had everything you would need. We were met and shown round and asked any questions. The walk down to saundersfoot was too steep for me to manage, so went down in the car.see more

A wonderfull stay!!!

We had a wonderfull short break in Laburnum cottage. The Cressely arms was open again, the weather was dry!, and there were so many interesting places to visit that we were spoilt and filled with indecision. The cottage was very comfortable and was a home from home kind of experience for us. Well equipped and well positioned, we could not ask for more. We will the back!.see more
