“Peaceful ,comfortable, ideal location for visiting Snowdonia.” We were greeted with welsh cakes they were scrumptious. Although we were told the water was from a spring and may be discolored, we could taste nothing different to our own tap water. we felt that we were catered for in every way and would recommend this cottage to any one and everyone. We would like to say a really big thank you to the owners, they did us proud. The cottage is located 3 miles from Llanbedr, down some narrow country lanes, it is off the beaten track really quiet, it is also very cosy and warm. Brian & Patricia Farthing / Alan & Julie Frost

“Absolutely fabulous” Always love our stays at Bwythn Clyd.- Cannot fault this property. We sat outside in November, both at the bungalow and to have lunch at our favourite eating place- the Pilot Boat. What a bonus is that. This property has everything you need to make your stay hasslefree. We are looking forward to our next visit in May. Cannot recommend this property highly enough.

“Beautiful and relaxing!” We loved staying at Harrison's Cottage! It's like a home from home and somewhere we could really relax. The grounds are so lovely; rolling green hills and fishing lakes with a great cafe right next door! The location is fantastic for visiting other areas too. The owners are really helpful and made us very welcome.

“Perfect cottage, perfect location, perfect owners” I stayed at the cottage in april with two elderly people, one of whom was in a wheelchair. The facilities were fantastic for disabled visitors. The cottage looked like we were the first occupants, it was in pristine condition - we were really surprised to learn that it had been a rental cottage for around 2 years. The owners were lovely - nothing was too much trouble, although they were not intrusive. The location is absolutely beautiful - on the side of a hill in the Brecon foothills, with fantastic views and a field of very friendly sheep adjacent to the garden. We loved it so much that immediately re-booked when we got home to take my granddaughters there in the Summer holidays.

“lovely cottage peaceful location” This was a well equipped cottage full of character we really appreciated the spacious conservatory for meals and playing games etc. I loved the remoteness of the property and the local people were very friendly. The garden was large enough for my children to play in which was important to us. Pretatyn has a very friendly church called Calvary and the people were welcoming and very friendly this made our stay even more special

About Wales

Bordering England on the southwest side and lying just a ferry ride across the channel from Ireland, Wales is a land of rich ancient history and stunning natural beauty. Explore Wales in the summer, from the Island of Anglesey in the north to the coasts of Cardiff and Swansea in the south, and you'll be experiencing the best of a true British holiday. Come here to learn more about the Welsh people, culture and language, and pastoral traditions. Take some time to explore the beauty of the land they call home. The national parks here will inspire you, and the many still-intact ancient castles of Wales will transport you to another time. Wales can provide the adventure you're looking for, whether you're traveling with children or in search of a romantic escape. The rolling hills and jagged cliffs of this proud country have sustained its people for thousands of years, and many of the farms and museums tell the story of all that has transpired here during that time.

There's so much to see and do in Wales that it's difficult to schedule it all in one visit, but here are a few suggestions to help you plan your trip:

  • Visit the Island of Anglesey in North Wales: Get lost in the corridors of Beaumaris Castle and be swept away by the old world charm of the Foel Farm Park in Brynsiencyn. From the Island, it's easy to take a ferry to Ireland, Britain, or Holland.
  • Visit Cardiff: Come to Cardiff for St. Fagan's National History Museum. Learn about the people and culture of Wales at this 100 acre park, living history museum, and historic village.
  • Play and relax on Llangennith Beach in Swansea: Located in southern Wales, Swansea offers hiking and beach activities. Be sure to make time for a tour of the Swansea chocolate factory.
  • Explore Snowdonia National Park in Conwy: While you're here, see the 13th century haunted Conwy Castle and the breathtaking Conwy waterfalls.
  • Shop for produce in Carmarthen: Come to Carmarthen for the scenic railway as well as the famous open air flea and farmers market.
  • Take a boating trip from St. David's Peninsula and Ramsey Island: Go on a wildlife spotting eco adventure by boat.

It should be very easy to find a place to stay in Wales for the length of your visit no matter where you plan to spend most of your time. Vacation rentals are widely available in the heart of bustling urban centers as well as in the remote countryside. Find a condo or apartment in Cardiff or rent a beautiful cabin in St. David's. For the best seaside experience, rent a villa with views overlooking the emerald hills on one side and the blue ocean on the other.

Poppy Sheperd Lodge
Perfect lodge set in beautiful Wales

Was here for my 4 year anniversary with my partner. The lodge had everything we needed and was super clean and warm set in a beautiful part of Abergavenny in Wales. We had our own BBQ area and pit fire right next to a pond. The supermarkets and restaurants are close by if you wanted to venture out. Just an all round great place to be and just chill. Fabulous Harbourside Apartment
Apartment with beautiful view of harbor

We really enjoyed our stay in Porthmadog at the apartment. The view was wonderful and relaxing, and we could easily walk to town. The owner was friendly and helpful, and the only thing the apartment lacked was a microwave (we are so used to them in the USA). Otherwise it had all we needed for a comfortable time while we toured the area. If we returned we would stay here again.see more
