Situado en el corazón de la salvaje Costa da Morte - a los pies de los famosos Penedos de Pasarela y Traba - y sólo a 6 km de Traba con su playa de 2500m de fina arena blanca.
El espacio
Es una casa de piedra cariñosamente restaurada en sentido ecológico con muchos detalles. En la planta baja, nada más entrar, nos encontramos con una acogedora galería que luego dará paso a una gran cocina - que en tiempos remotos se usaba como zapatería - además de una amplia sala de estar y un baño de inspiración oriental.
La original escalera de madera de acacia nos llevará a la planta alta, que consta de dos dormitorios y un baño. Además hay un sitio para leer y trabajar en home office.
Varias claraboyas hacen de esta planta un lugar luminoso e idílico. Alrededor de la casa hay un pequeño jardin y también da acceso a una amplia zona lúdica compartida; una finca grande con mesa de ping-pong, zona de barbacoa, amplio aparcamiento y acceso al pequeño afluente del Río Grande. Es perfecto para darse pequeños chapuzones y refrescarse después de haber pasado el día caminando por los bosques.
Su pequeño “embarcadero” es ideal para descansar, leer, tomar el sol, etc.
Es un lugar de sólo dos casas, la Casa Costiña y la Casita da Forxa, sitúado en una ladera frente al pequeño y bien conservado pueblo de Calo, perteneciente al concello de Vimianzo, y a unos 7 km de la playa de Traba (2 500 m de arena blanca).
La privilegiada ubicación de la casa ofrece oportunidades para hacer excursiones únicos a los “Penedos de Pasarela”, así como a multitud de dólmenes y castros (legado histórico celta). Las numerosas playas ofrecen momentos inolvidables para surfistas, buceadores y a los amantes de la naturaleza.
En el castillo medieval de Vimianzo uno se puede informar sobre la artesanía local y cada jueves, el pueblo atrae a numerosos visitantes a causa de su tradicional mercadillo.
Allí hay tiendas de todo estilo, el centro médico, muchos bares, cafés y restaurantes con platos típicos de la región: sabrosos pescados, chipirones, mariscos, caldo, cocido y carnes a cada gusto.
Pueblos cercanos: Ponte do Porto con La Tavernetta (muy recomendable por su comida y trato), Laxe, Camariñas, Finisterre.
Servicios y zonas comunes
Me gustaría que mis inquilinos intenten vivir en armonía con la naturaleza lindante ya que ésta está en todas partes. Deseo que se respete la propiedad como conjunto (casa, jardines y bosques lindantes).

“Peace, quietness & a super princess bed !”
I've been to Casa Costiña while visiting the region with friends. We chose this area because we really really enjoy surfing and this is one of the best regions to do so! The house is just a few km away from the most beautiful beaches you can imagine (really!). Nevertheless at the end we enjoyed staying in the big garden so much that we even had little arguments between the ones that preferred to stay and the ones that wanted to find the "perfect wave" :) It is such a lovely place. What I liked the most was waking up in the enormous beds with no noise or air pollution surrounding our heads (we always left the windows open) and if we liked we could just go out the house (bare foot) and wake up inside the cold cold river next to the beautiful garden. It was such a different experience... I don't know how to describe it better but we really really enjoyed it. I could say it was one of the first times we could relax as we always wanted to. I think I can speak for all of us if I say that I definitely recommend this lovely house (and its setting!!). The landlady was also very nice with us, thank you renate !

Response from the owner al leer estas lineas se nos parte un poco el corazón al pensar en todo el trabajo y amor que hemos metido en esta casa y el terreno que la rodea... Cuando recibimos a esta pareja madrileña todo parecía en orden, de hecho, hasta nos dieron a entender que les agradaba la casa (respuesta que solemos recibir de todos nuestros diferentes inquilinos que vienen de todo el mundo). Es una desgraciada coincidencia que justo la misma noche de su llegada se hayan encontrado con una serie de ESCARABAJOS MOLINEROS en la cocina, que, después de consultarlo con los técnicos forestales de la zona, nos aseguraron que era muy habitual encontrar en estas épocas del año en Galicia y más si la casa estaba en plena naturaleza. De todas formas, nada más recibir la noticia (a las 11 de la noche), nos dispusimos a solventar el problema. A esas horas de la noche lo único que teníamos a mano era un libro especializado en insectos de la zona para poder asegurar a la alterada madre del pequeño que en ningún caso se podía tratar de cucarachas. Aun así, a causa del estado de alerta en el que se encontraba en dicho momento hizo imposible llegar a un acuerdo razonable. Todos estaban cansados y no pensábamos con claridad. De todas formas, al no llegar a ningún acuerdo a esas horas de la noche nos dispusimos a encontrarles un hotel en la aldea lindante (ya a medianoche) y les ofrecimos seguir hablando sobre el tema el día siguiente. Al haber alquilado la casa a través de una plataforma, nosotros, como anfitriones, no teníamos ninguna forma de devolver el dinero. Pensamos pagarles los gastos del hotel mientras solucionábamos lo del escarabajo "invasor". Por otra parte la acusación de tener la casa llena de cucarachas que en realidad eran escarabajos que venían de fuera y, por ese mismo motivo, no tenían nada que ver con el estado de la casa, no era entendible en el momento de haber sido lanzada a esas horas de la noche y de una persona que por lo visto no tenía conocimientos sobre insectos de ese tipo. El día siguiente, y al ya haber solventado el problema de los insectos en la cocina (que está en la parte de abajo de la casa, por lo cual, muy separada de las habitaciones) con la ayuda de un técnico forestal, los inquilinos volvieron del hotel ya un poco más calmados pero se dispusieron a vaciar la casa de sus pertenencias porque según ellos era inadmisible seguir en un lugar como el nuestro. Hay que resaltar que en esos momentos ya habían contactado con la administración de la plataforma que les aseguraba solventar el problema y como hemos sabido les han buscado otra casa por su estancia por lo cual, siendo correctos, escribir una referencia tan negativa sin haber dormido ni una sola noche en nuestra casa es del todo admisible (a menos desde mi punto de vista). Diremos que, después del disgusto de este encuentro, hemos decidido modificar la descripción de nuestro complejo vacacional resaltando que se dirige a personas AMANTES y CONOCEDORAS de la naturaleza. Es una verdadera pena como han salido las cosas, esperamos que la gente que venga sepa valorar lo que hay y no exija los estándares de un hotel porque no lo es. Se trata, como la descripción bien indica, de una casa restaurada ECOLÓGICAMENTE de madera y materiales no dañinos. Esto significa que no elimina la naturaleza lindante sino que la complementa, siendo esta construcción, visto de forma purista, la verdaderamente "invasiva" o digamos artificial en una zona totalmente natural. Como respuesta a otras de las críticas aquí expuestas: Los muebles son en su mayoría antigüedades de más de 100 años que pueden gustar o no pero que ninguna persona conocedora podría tachar de viejos o falta de renovación. A su vez, las fotos se han hecho este mismo verano. Espero que con estas aclaraciones se solucionen algunos de los problemas o se contrarresten estas críticas que no veo que tengan razón de ser al haber aclarado el asunto pacíficamente y a beneficio de los inquilinos...
