Splendid in every way!

Left on Aug 19, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Very well equipped and nicely appointed house. Lovely area, which will need visiting again. Most helpful owner and highly obliging owner relatives nearby.

Went with two other families with a total of six chidren aged 9 to 14. Ample rooms and space, indoors and outdoors.

Well stocked local shop and, astonishingly by remote highland standards, a garage/tyre fitter in the village that …

A wonderful place to stay

Left on Aug 26, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Wow - the yurt is amazing! The road out to Portuairk took a good hour and a half to drive and the views on the way are stunning. The yurt is easy to find and clearly signposted. You park your car in the field and there's a wheelbarrow waiting for you to take your stuff the one minute walk up to the yurt. The yurt has a view of the whole of Sanna bay and the beaches there. Once inside the yurt …

location, comfort, friendliness, wide life, it has it all

Left on Apr 03, 2011 for a stay in June 2010

Laga lodge has it all, for every member of the family, including our dog. We had wonderful day trips out on the boat and were even lucky enough to see more than one basking shark, breaching! It was more like staying with good friends who couldn't do enough for you.

Idyllic spot for a complete getaway

Left on Nov 08, 2010 for a stay in November 2010

Despite the horizontal hail and the gale force winds Carna Farmhouse was a superb place to get away from the stress of everyday life. The house was warm and cosy with superb views across the loch. We took books and games but we needn't have bothered as there are plenty there - to suit all tastes. The use of the boat (and GPS!) would probably be the highlight of any man's holiday - certainly…
