The Paloma River Lodge
Very close to a wilderness experience

Six of us visited PRL strictly to go trout fishing. Despite cold and rain every day, plus high winds which make fly fishing difficult, we caught lots of good quality fish. Our largest fish were 2 23 inch brown trout, and we caught a number of 18+ inch fish. Our top day was 20+ fish which two of us experienced. We did not see another angler in six days of fishing, and the scenery in this fairly remote part of Patagonia was superb. The accommodations are definitely not luxurious, but they are clean and the meals were quite good. This is not a place where one would take a non-fishing wife. There are no towns nearby and no tourist sites except the scenery, which is everywhere. … see more
