“Review of Villa 14, Marina Albufeira”

Villa was very nice. We met with the cleaner and the gardener "Jimmy" on arrival who were very helpful in showing us around the property. Every room was well air conditioned. The location was good, only a 5 minute walk to the Marina front where there are some lovely bars and restaurants, and activities for the kids. You can also walk into the Old Town in around half an hour, a hilly but beautiful walk over the cliffs with stunning views. The pool was spotless when we arrived but could probably do with being cleaned once weekly, at the end of our 10 night stay it had become a little dirty. The wifi also became a bit of an issue, was fine for the first week, but last few days did not work at all. There may possibly be an allowance which is perfectly understandable if that is the case. The only negative was the communication with the owner. There was hardly any in the lead up, other than accepting payment. We were also given 2 phone numbers to contact on arrival, both of which did not connect. I had to email to let them know we were on our way from the airport and only then did we get a 3rd number to try which eventually connected. With better correspondence with the owners and the pool being cleaned weekly, I would have had no hesitation in giving the property 5 stars. Hopefully a little bit of constructive criticism can spur the owners into making this a perfect holiday destination for a large family, or a few small families to enjoy like we did.
