“Gorgeous, peaceful villa in Andalucia”
We have rented a couple of houses through the years. This is, by far, the best. Excellent location about 30 min from the busy beaches and you reach a lot of interesting places in little over an hour b… More

“Beautiful villa - ideal for relaxed family breaks”
Our family of 5 adults had a great stay at Casa Belmonte and I would definitely recommend this it to anyone planning relaxed family holiday. The villa has been very tastefully renovated both inside and out in a style that feels traditional but fresh. The location is beautiful and the villa's outdoor dining and pool areas are ideally positioned to capture the best of the valley's views and sunshine. Despite the rural setting, there are good amenities within a five minute drive. I have no complaints. Thanks for a great stay!

“Total relaxation in a prime property”
The location & view of casa Belmonte left us completely dumbstruck, both during the day & night you cant take your eyes away from it. A haven of relaxation high up in the Andalucian hills overlooking lake Vinuela, this villa has it all. Easily accommodating 10 guests in a beautifully restored farm house, that is both classy & funky, with cleaver quirky decor that is a pleasure to stay in. You can literally loose yourself here with loads of space and cosy hideaways which allows you to get lots of time alone if so desired. The pool is beautiful and lots of sunbeds to choose from. Outside living is a pleasure in Casa Belmonte with large dining tables out front & by the pool, with an amazing BBQ with outdoor sink & fridge, with no shortage of beautifull dishes & cooking utensils. Beautiful villages close by and Malaga only a 50 min drive. Great for large families with older kids who want nothing more than to worry where your next meal is coming from. To top it off both Hillary & Rob are a delight to deal with, chatty and accommodating with great knowledge of the surrounding countryside. You can't go wrong with this villa, you will not be disappointed

“Outstanding villa with incredible views overlooking amazing lake”
We hired this rustic villa with another family and it was fantastic. An amazing location and we were heartbroken to leave to be honest (especially to a rainy UK). The interior was very stylish with plenty of space to relax in a variety of quirky spaces, both indoor and out. The pool area is lovely and the views are incredible, especially from the roof terrace when the sun goes down. It was great having WiFi too as it kept the teenagers happy, along with the table tennis and pool table! Rob and Hilary were very friendly and accommodating too. Highly recommended.

“Paradise found...”
Perfect villa, perfect location, perfectly secluded. Casa Belmonte is a stunning villa with everything you could possible need, but its when you step outside that your breath is taken away, no photo's in a brochure can do what you see justice... just stunning! The outside area is amazing and the pool is wonderful, we really cannot speak highly enough of this property - absolutely idyllic. Thank you Rob & Hilary for sharing this special place.

“The view from the pool will stay with me for the rest of my life”
The Casa Belmonte is a delightful rustic villa, simply but tastefully furnished and fitted, with everything you need for a family holiday (we didn't have any small children in our party of 12 so I can't really comment about baby / toddler provision). The place was immaculately prepared by the owners who gave us a guided tour when we arrived and couldn't have been more helpful, they had even laid in some basic provisions for us. The pool is excellent, being salt water there were no issues with chlorine affected eyes (a real plus if you like the water). Our kids were kept entertained with the table tennis table and the pool table on the roof, the Wi-fi was a definite plus so they could check in on Facebook etc. We all enjoyed canoeing and windsurfing on nearby lake VInuela which was very reasonable and run by the most friendly bloke who was so laid back he was horizontal. To be honest the cooker and sink are showing their age, but both were perfectly functional and saw us through two weeks worth of meals and washing up, and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to feed the troops. There was plenty of choice of where to eat around the villa, with large tables set up near the pool area and on a patio outside the kitchen, as well as in a dining area inside. There were also lots of shady nooks to sit and relax with a glass of vino and a good book. There is no air conditioning but the thick stone walls keep the insides fairly cool and there is almost always a breeze on the hillside. All of the bathrroms are modern and well equipped, there was always hot water for showers even though we had several teenagers with us. You will definately need a car to get around, preferably not a low slung sports car as the road to the Casa Belmont is quite uneven, we had normal saloon cars that coped fine. The nearest shops are about a fiteen minute steady drive away, but it is worth it for the fresh bread and cakes, and the prices are very reasonable for local shops, you are not paying big city prices. There are tavernas within similar distance that provide reasonably priced basic local dishes that are great value for money. This is not an ideal destination if you have mobility problems, the Casa Belmont , like the surrounding countryside is full of inclines and steps, and disabled access isn't great to all areas. My (fairly) elderly mother in law did manage with the odd arm for support here and therehowever, and had no problems around the villa. This is a slice of authentic Spain, away from the hustle and bustle, and the pace of life is delightfully serene. We found the locals very friendly, and very appreciative of our attempts to speak Spanish, even though we were not very good. The Casa Belmonte is in a great spot for exploring the region, within twenty minutes drive of the coastal resports and beaty spots, and surrounded by picturesque hill towns and villages. The most outstanding feature of the Casa Belmont however is the view, it is a quite simply breathtaking panorama from the mediterreanan coast on one horizon to the mountains of ancient Spain on the other. Watching the flaming red sun dip slowly behind those mountains has to be one of the most peaceful things I have ever done on holiday. We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday, and would recommend the Casa Belmont to anyone who is looking for a relaxing family holiday in a fantastic authentic villa that very clearly benefits from being the owners' home when they are not renting it out. Go and stand out by the pool with a glass of local wine and look at the view stretching away into the haze, and listen to the sound of the goat bells. I challenge you not to say Wow!
