Aldgate Creek Cottage is a delightful self-contained chalet in a private garden setting that has all you need for your comfort, enjoyment and relaxation. Bright, sunny and spacious, with its own gardens and the Aldgate Creek flowing alongside, this luxury Cottage is a perfect place to unwind - and yet with all the amenities of Aldgate Village so conveniently close!

The Cottage has 2 garden entrances just for guests, and with the owners located 50 metres away, you have the Cottage all to yourself!

The Cottage is ideally located for exploring the Adelaide Hills - and all just an easy 20 minute drive from the central business district of Adelaide!

Enjoy the large spa bath, huge shower head, heated towel rails, spacious lounge, deck with seating, reverse cycle air conditioning and wood-free open fire, fully equipped kitchen,and laundry. Upstairs the mezzanine bedroom and balcony look out over the gardens and creek, and you feel you are in your own private garden retreat.

For your entertainment after a day of exploring the Hills, the cottage has internet access via high speed wifi and also has a smart TV that includes access to Netflix. There is also a portable speaker available for you to connect via Bluetooth if you have music you would like to listen to.

The Cottage is provisioned with all you need for a fully cooked and self-catered breakfast of eggs, bacon, milk, bread, cereals, orange juice, yogurt, and jams. There is also dairy free, gluten free, and vegetarian options available if you advise before arrival. Welcoming treats are also included.

During your stay self-catering is a great option as the Cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. Bring your own provisions, and if you need to stock up, then there are some wonderful shops in the area selling local specialties, and you can also stock up at the excellent local supermarket that's just 2 minutes away (by foot!). Also, if you prefer to dine in and relax at the same time, then there is a great variety of cafes, restaurants, and takeaways in Aldgate Village that are all within easy walking distance.

There is a large deck perfect for to enjoy enjoy the birds, and visiting ducks in the creek - and also koalas that enjoy the gum trees in the garden - and have been known to walk across the deck right in front of the French doors!!

Check in is at 4pm, with check out a leisurely 12 midday, giving you time to relax and enjoy the morning.

Getting around

The Cottage is located in the centre of Aldgate and for many guests there is no need to travel away from the area. Stirling is approximately 2 kilometres away and as such within walking distance. There is a bus service that has a stop approximately 100 metres away from the front door of the Cottage.This service runs to the City as well as Mt Barker via Hahndorf. UBER and Taxi service is also available.

Interaction with guest

During your stay Terry and Fiona will be available should you need assistance of any kind. They will provide you with their mobile numbers and are able to suggest things to do, as well as places visit for eating and drinking. Just ask!

“An enchatining getaway”

We had a wonderful family stay it was so comfortable and cosy we just did not want to leave. The fantasy garden and creek was just so relaxing. We would love to stay again. It was great to visit Hahndorf for the day and view the Mt Lofty Gardens.

How do damage deposits work?
