Cozy "Modular" Style 1 BR with Sleeping Loft Cabin at Three Rivers Resort in Almont (#49)
(Every cabin is named after a fly pattern.)
Cabins 39-44 and 49 are similar styles. These deluxe "mountain chalets" offer all the amenities of a cabin in a modern and compact package. They are perfect units for families. The deluxe models are very new with nice furniture and fixtures for a more "upscale" feel. The layout of these chalets feels more spacious than the standard units or the deluxe on the river units. There is a private bedroom downstairs and a low ceiling (4 feet high) sleeping loft upstairs with mattresses on the floor. Kids love to have their own space to crawl around up here. There are even cupboards to store belongings in this space. The kitchen has modern appliances and the vaulted ceiling gives the living area a roomy feel. Outside there is a large covered deck with patio furniture.
*Note of caution for small children: the steps going up to the loft are steep and narrow and could present a falling hazard. The railing in the upper sleeping area is low enough for a toddler or small child to be able to climb over, presenting a dangerous falling hazard. If you have small children, a gate for the loft stairwell is recommended.

I think I was 9 the first time I went to Three Rivers for summer vacation, now I am 36 and have a 12 year old daughter and a 6 year old son, and we enjoy it just as I remember enjoying it many years ago!!! The rafting, the rain, the fishing, the pure serene relaxation, and fun that comes with Three Rivers is more than we arizonans could ask for. Staff is top notch, always very clean and comfortable cabins, rafting guides are a hoot and all around greatest experience every time. One great small town circumstance this summer was we went to a local bakery in Gunnison for breakfast nice friendly staff asked where we were from and where we were staying, just so happens my son left his new Crested Butte hat there and they tracked us down through the staff at Three Rivers and we were able to pick his hat up, things like that don't happen many places, and it was greatly appreciated. We will see you again next summer Three Rivers and again thanks for being our summer non-hot spot.

Although this cabin is very small, it worked perfectly for my family of 6. The 2 small kids stayed upstairs, which was perfect size for them. Everything I needed to prepare a meal was available. I only wish we would have had a fire ring closer to enjoy the deck that was there. This is the third cabin we've stayed in over the years and I will definitely make another reservation.

We had the pleasure of spending a few days at the 3 Rivers Resort in almont, CO. our family had a great time. Check in was smooth, the staff helpful and friendly. Our cabin #49 was beautiful, comfortable, and a great value! The hot tub next door was great after a long day of fishing! Our nights were peaceful and quiet.
