Additional Location Information

The property is 10 minutes drive from one of Andalusia's white washed towns, Álora. Álora is an historic hilly town that has retained its charm with narrow streets, small shops and a busy "plaza" market every Monday. There are plenty of restaurants, tapas bars and coffee shops. The town has wonderful views of the mountains surrounding the Guadalhorce Valley. The Valley remains green all year round due to the orange and lemon groves.
The beaches of the Costa Del Sol are about 40km away. There are several inland and coastal golf courses within a 40km radius of the property. Alora is ideally situated for sightseeing. The whole area offers wonderful opportunities for relaxing, photography, bird-watching, painting as well as a wide range of more active pursuits such as hiking, biking, climbing, horse riding and water sports. El Chorro gorge is an amazing natural phenomenon and natural park where you can enjoy lake related activities. El Chorro is about 12 kilometers from Alora. A large variety of birds makes this area a “bird watching" zone.
Alora is located in the heart of Malaga's province on the banks of the Guadalhorce river among orange and lemon groves. Álora's best attraction are the ruins of a majestic Moorish castle that crowns one of the hills where the town was originally built . Other interesting towns close by are Antequera, Ronda and Ardales. All of them full of history and monuments. Cities such as Cordoba, Seville and Granada are a in within 1-2 hour drive.
Our location on route (A-343) has direct access to highways connections which makes us a perfect base for your traveling around Andalusia.
The property has plenty of parking space. There is a convenience Country Store run by the owners walking distance from the farmhouse. They sell a variety of local vines and food delicatessen like Serrano Jam and Manchego cheese. You can also order fresh baked bread for your morning breakfast.
