Description

The Recker House is a five bedroom ranch style house that is available for short term rentals in Alta Vista, Iowa. Alta Vista is a small town located in northeast Iowa. This unit features two bedrooms with queen beds on the main floor plus a large living room that opens to the dining and kitchen areas. A full bath with a tub/shower combination plus a stackable washer and dryer are also on the first floor. Additionally, one of the bedrooms includes its own shower. The kitchen has a built in oven, built in stove top, full sized refrigerator with an ice maker and and a dishwasher, You'll also find a toaster, microwave, coffeemaker (regular and Keurig) and a good supply of pots and pans and dining ware.

Three additional bedrooms are located on the lower level and are equpped with queen sized beds. The lower level has a bath with a shower, a kitchen area with a full sized stove (double oven) and full sized refrigerator, microwave, a large living room with a 32" flat screen tv with a built in dvd player, a dining area and an additional washer and dryer set.

Linens and towels are supplied. A good supply of board games and kids' toys can be found in the closets. You'll also find a hairdryer, iron and ironing board.

There is a covered patio area off of the garage that is equipped with patio table and chairs and a charcoal grill with a lid (guests supply the charcoal and lighter fluid).

This unit works well for short term get aways, family gatherings such as weddings, funerals, reunions--there is a second guest house available directly across the street (Grandma Z's Guest House) which, combined with rental of this unit, works well for larger gatherings with a combined ability to sleep 20. The house has been used to host birthday parties, bridal showers, as home base for hunting trips, for short term work assignments in the area, etc.

The house is a non-smoking, no pet unit. Guests can smoke on the covered patio or elsewhere outside. Pets can be kenneled in the garage.

The doors are equipped with a keyless entry system and are programmed to a unique four digit code of the guests' choice.

Off street parking is available for 2 vehicles. Additional vehicles can be parked on the quiet street in front of the house.
