Very nice apartment, highly recommended to anybody who wants to be near museums. Amenities are accurate, but the apartment turned out to be even better then the pictures showed. I have stayed at many amsterdam apartments and this certainly is the one I want to come back to. Clean, well-equipped and helpful owners. Though not in the very heart of the centre of amsterdam, it is situated in a quiet street in the middle of a very lively and central district.
The typical amsterdam stairs are an unforgettable experience. ;-)

Wonderful duplex, great kitchen, modern furnishings, 2 terraces and a balcony. Coffee shop right downstairs if you are interested. Quiet, can walk to Concertgebouw and Museumplein. Many good restaurants on block, Chinese, Brazilian, cafes, Can walk to albert Cuyp market. Many stairs but this is common in amsterdam. Direct #25 bus to Central Station.

I stayed in the ruby appartement, one of the two apartments of the owner. I was nicely welcomed by the owner, received explanation about the apartment and even fresh flowers,a bottle of wine, bread and other groceries were bought to make me feel welcome.
The apartment is fully equiped with a nice kitchen and all possible kitchen tools and equipment such as a microwave and stove. The bathroom is clean, the bedroom has good beds, there's nice furniture, a tv and all is nicely decorated. It's exactly as the photos show.
What else can I say? It's situated in the 'Pijp', which is one of the best areas in town. Cafes, bars, restaurants of all flavours, shops, a daily market, you name it. All at walking distance. And close to public transport. I will definitely come back next year.

The apartment was as advertised. Very clean, well stocked with food and drinks. Great neighborhood with markets and restaurants. Walking distance to most attractions. Owner, property minder, very helpful and attentive to minor things like light failed light in stairway. Only thing that takes some getting used to is the stairway, which is steep and narrow though typical to amsterdam I think. Would highly recommend

We stayed here for a week. We have used Vrbo listings in Paris, Hawaii, Bora bora, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica etc. This is the most spacious and well-equipped unit we have ever rented. It is exactly as pictured. The kitchen is all top, stove, refrigerator, with fully stocked cookware if that is your thing. There are many reasonably priced restaurants within one to six blocks of the apartment --one half the price of the restaurants in the heart of the downtown tourist area. You can walk to the museum district (15 min brisk walk), but the trams are also nearby and can take you anywhere quickly if you are not a walker. The supermarket is one block away. But the high point of this rental in my opinion is the owner, who lives nearby. Upon arrival we were given an extensive orientation of the rental property, where we were in amsterdam in relation to open air markets, museums, restaurants etc. He had bought us a bottle of wine, juices, ham, cheese, rolls, butter, sweets etc so we didn't have to rush out and immediately find a meal. He gave us a local cell phone with his personal cell phone programmed in so we could immediately contact him if we had some emergent problem or question.
Unfortunately we did -- we spilled red wine on the drapes (floor to ceiling) in the living room. When we contacted him regarding this he was very understanding. I thought it would be several hundred dollars to get these dry cleaned and was ready to pay that amount. He assured me that the facility he used was not that expensive and charged us a fraction of this amount.
In summary, this place is very nice and an outright steal vs. your other lodging options in amsterdam.

We had a wonderful stay at Jip's apartment in amsterdam. It was clean, well appointed, beautiful and really comfortable. Jip thought of everything. From the beautiful flowers to the dishes of chocolates to the well-stocked pantry and refrigerator, we did not want for a single thing. The apartment is well laid out, with an upstairs master bedroom and full bathroom and a comfortable sleeper sofa downstairs, we were very comfortable. The furniture is very nice and the kitchen is stocked with every small helpful item, including a water pitcher (which we didn't have in Paris and sorely missed) and drinking glasses and dishes in every size. Everything worked and pride in ownership truly shows. I can't tell you how many times my husband and I said, "Gee, we could really use a...," just to conduct a short search and find it right there in the apartment. I would highly recommend this apartment.

We have stayed in the Ruby and also another apartment in this building with the same owners 3 times. It is immaculate, well furnished, modern well equipped kitchen, and best of all, on 2 floors (with a toilet on each) so that when one person is awake in the middle of the night with jet lag they do not disturb the other person. When we arrived, there was a bottle of wine, cheese, bread, orange juice, cake, meat, etc. so we did not have to shop immediately. Very near to the albert Cuyp Market, so we went out every morning for fresh supplies. Near to museums. Laptop provided, plus laundry service, plus cell phone, also weekly cleaning (twice we stayed for a month). The owners have thought of everything to make one`s stay perfect. Great location, near the museums, bike rental nearby, public transit at the doorstep. Not a single thing I could think of to improve this accommodation.
