It is 5 minutes far from the shopping centre of Anacapri and about 3,5 km from the famous Blu Grotto. On the third floor there is the main garden where the swimming pool takes place; there the barbeque is at the guests disposal during the week.
Villa Leone is a famous property in Anacapri on the Capri island, built at the early ‘900 from the Baroness Gallotta, famous on the island and in Naples for her embroideries. The villa is well known as Villa Lo Spolino (the shuttle). For the love to her daughter the Baroness left the island for living in South Africa.The new owner, the princess Branciforte, bought the villa after in the mid 60th and ther she lived a great love story with a famous entrepreneur from Rome. The passion joined them to the villa “Lo Spolino” and for many years they lived there between great parties and an unlimited love. In the period of “la dolce vita” the villa was the residence of famous Italian movie star. Unfortunately when the love ends up the villas was for sale. But in the mid 70th a brilliant and well-known professor of surgery and orthopaedics bought Villa Leone for his family and it is thanks to the care and the art of his wife that the Villa is now richer with fine decoration and furniture.Villa Leone is a beautiful house in Anacapri based on four levels inside a precious garden of Mediterranean vegetation. The main entrance is from the upper part of the property, passing close to the wonderful, white blinding roof in a typical Capri style with vaults and skylights. From the top of the house you pass in a huge kitchen covered with traditional Vietri style tails face a very comfortable terrace.On the first level There are three double bed rooms well decorated with flower paints and a veil ceiling. They are each with private baths and a panoramic view on the sea. Very charming is a master suite with an elegant and ancient wooden library. The living room is full of old furniture and with a typical Mediterranean style and a great library.On the second floor the 4th and the 5th rooms are independent and face on a big terrace of bougainvilleas. There a stone well is completely surrounded by bougainvilleas. All the rooms are enriched by decoration and trompe l’oil.On 3rd and 4th level of the properties there is the main garden with wonderful flowers and plants and a swimming pool equipped by chairs; there the barbeque and a pizza oven are at the guests disposal during the week. From the garden there is the access to the dependence with the 6th room and 7th room.
